i change gear below 3k rpm still not light foot enuf?

Klang Valley but hardly get caught in jam usually just traffic lights. Hardly go beyond 80km/h.

my meter shows 7.8L/100km la, but i kno it's a lie.

so i pump rm30 from 0 mark 2 times now 2nd time still estimate rm30 can only give 120-130km, u kno la the tank meter sot sot one but around there lo. tomolo need to check whether got leak petrol or not.

the ipoh guy can do 180km i really impressed lo.

mods will only increase FC only... not worth that few hp or low end torque.

i use shell as it's the most convenient.

Guys i pump rm30 again 2nd time after last time told u guys, i'm still getting around rm30 for 120-130km only. is that high? ron95 means rm30 around 15.7L.

that is like 12L/100km or 8.3km/L.

i can tell you, speaking from exp, persona manual is like that, very high fc. i tried light footed in 100% city drive/jam drive..my figure is like 10-11l/100km and sometimes 12l/100meter..my full tank 35liter can last 250km..try calculate that. if half half, means 50% jam driving, and 50% travelling(means can maintain speed) i could get 320-340km..normal long distance at 110 around 400++km..for 35liter ron 95.
i push the throttle a bit only, and the car goes..looks like the trottle open big at lower rpm..and we need more torque..persona manual and auto the ration is quite different too..manual 4k rpm 5th gear only 140 while auto at 160kmh.

ps: wanna try ETC next time.

yawn.gif Another FC case but didn't use full tank method or fuelly to calculate.
Somemore use Shell and drive manual. You got serious problem if the FC so high. whistling.gif

Yuh. I was ekshelli thinking of converting of manual to get that 5th gear "for the lower RPM at higher speeds". Turns out it's much higher rclxub.gif.

Hmm. I just took a look at worn out CV joints video on youtube, and I think that it might be the reason on why my car has that klok klok noise when turning / over bad bumps.

Have a tried just now since the car cool down..

The radiator fan seems fail and not spinning even air cond already switched on...could be the main culprit for this rise..

Ohh..no wonder the air cond temperature no consistent during drive just now...

Any1 knw the price for the motor fan? haizz...

Between, the car temperature rise to full 120'C-didn't notice it, once saw it straight stop and rest aside.

Will be the gasket head get burn? water seep in? but still manage to get home safely.

i heavy foot but can let the auto to shift below 3k rpm de. is not about the rpm problem.
anyway, only full tank pumping method can let u get the best accurate result.
try to use fuelly, see my signature. it gives the accurate reading compared to reading through needle. do you know that by changing my driving style and speed my petrol needle will go up when I drive lighter when fuel warning lamp came out.
Rm10 can go approx 60km in city if u are consistent and knows how to read.
the bolded part, i disagree with it. my car is modded. i am getting better fc in city with it.
therefore, i would conclude that the mod can give better fc, better power.
there are a lot of testimonial from a lot of user here. u may ask them.
shell give the worst fc also for persona. so, you know lah.

go have it checked and changed asap.
it is very damaging to run the car at high temp.

Fan motor around RM1xx. Depend on brand. If you are into DIY, you can check the fuse and wiring (current tester) to confirm the source of problem.
Lets just hope the gasket head is intact is it should be able to withstand high temperature.
Get the problem solved before it getting worst.
Here is a tip : if your car is overheat, after cool down, just release the engine hood lock from the driver's side and drive slowly below 50km/h.
The gap in between will allow for better air circulation inside the engine bay. DO NOT drive fast though as the air pressure might caused the
hood to fly and hit the windscreen.

Partially agree. Mod will not necessary increase FC nor will it reduce FC without incurring a cost somewhere. I can safely conclude the LCP mod DOES NOT increase my FC, still stay the same BUT with much faster gear change and increased torque and low to mid-end. Like Zen mentioned before, it does not increased HP or even torque from nothing....it just push the higher torque that usually comes from mid-range to the low end.

End result is a lose of power at high end, minor increased of vibration and noise (all cons) but great increased on low-mid end pickup and the great satisfaction of NOT allowing the darn turtles and gagas from jumping my queue in the jam. The cons might stop someone from modding it but with PE great setback of low-end torque, its an extremely useful mod and the pro will greatly outweight the cons overtime.

Don't look down on those satisfaction feeling coz it contribute to stress and driving enjoyment. These factors now makes me love driving PE (except for the FC).......without the LCP, I've been cursing all along and quite embarrassed abt its low end pickup when my wife refused to drive it complaining its pickup is like turtle (not the myvi....the real living turtle). Now even my wife commented the car pickup is a good and quite ok with driving it occasionally although its low end pickup is nowhere near my 06 city.
