Slight hotter only , 1-2 degree the most. It won't burn your palms.
Just using it within 5 mins on 3G browsing, temperature goes up to 35-37 degree C and this I consider high. My Note 2 will need to use continuously more than an hour to hit such temperatures. Similar 5 mins on Xperia Z temperature 33-35 degree C
Sorry never bother to monitor cooling time
Of course heat conducts faster and more obviously felt on metal surfaces vs glass

Both units I bought from SingTel and StarHub was sealed all round the box in a thin film of plastic

I went to several telco outlets ( M1, Singtel, Starhub), 2 retail shops, HTC Concept store from 11 am till 5pm and only managed to get 2 units ( plan to get 3). Some Telco sells with contracts. Those who sell without contracts, some do give a box of freebies ( power pack, case, SP) . But I was too tired to hunt down theses telcos. Grab the first 2 units I could get but without any freebies
Worse was at StarHub NEX - sign in at reception and was told there have 2 units left. But need to wait 2 hours for my turn. About 1 hour 45 mins later when reached my turn came , was told all sold off. I was really pissed off but did not want to make any scene
There was this retail outlet Call Mobile at Yishun who sells without contract at only S$898 but no stock that day , all sold out the day before. He said I can reserved up to 3 units at this price and he will call me this week once stocks are in. No need to pay any downpayment for it
This will be my last time going to Spore trying to buy at day one launching. It was tiring going round and taxi cab alone I spend about S$60. Will only do it next time provided the shop guaranteed reserve for me as it was in my last Xperia Z purchased

And the SingTel set I bought, I noted no built in Singtel stuffs/apps/splash logo etc. Normally SingTel sets will come with its own set of apps/splash logo etc
alfredtwl : can you check your StarHub set - i remember it also boot up as HTC One without any StarHub splash logo but I didn't check its apps contents

The very slight gap is still there. I don't find it an issue as long it looks balanced. Those shown at gsminsider web is indeed terrible n unacceptable

THe video player is called View Video . You cannot see it in the apps drawer. Just select any video in any file explorer and select open with - you will see View Video as an option besides any other 3rd party player you have installed

There is ; only is hidden and you cannot see it in the apps drawer

I would think this lowyat guy shots could be more practical guide as not all users are professional photographers unlike Anandtech

As someone pointed out before some of these web reviews we do not know the shot shown is the best of how many that was taken. And we do not know exactly how the camera settings were
Yes his photos do put the HTC1 poorly but view alone without comparing I still think is alright
Not surprised some of you will even said he purposely chose the worst shots
Whatever I never really trust all these comparisons
So far I am happy with camera shots on all the phones I have used.

I don't find such an issue in the 2 days I tested it

I did mentioned it - I feel grip in the hand the Xperia Z is better

Reminder to all potential buyers. Be aware of poor build due to zero gap not being well constructed
There will still be some very minor gaps . If you are looking for the perfect unit with absolutely no gap, quite tough i would say . Maybe n hopefully the M'sian sets are improved versions. Infact bloggers said HTC should not even boast about this as most units found with at least minor gaps
