This email i recieved this morning from Handtec. I have order 1 unit on behalf my brother on end March. Email 2 days ago was shipping out expected this week. More n uncertain delays:
Handtec have been informed by HTC Distribution that there will be further delays affecting both Black and Silver HTC One pre-orders. For all customers who have ordered the HTC One 32gb Black we have been informed that this will now be expected towards the end of April-Early May. At this time HTC One 32gb Silver customers should expect delays until the 22nd/29th April. Unfortunately no exact date has been given for either device but as soon as we can confirm this we will update the relevant product pages immediately. The Batch that was expected for this week is no longer due to arrive. This post has been edited by benny888: Apr 9 2013, 06:37 AM |

QUOTE(Blinque @ Apr 9 2013, 09:05 AM) I have also cancelled my unit from Handtec. So disappointed, expected to see e-mail saying unit has been shipped end up delay again. What is so special about developer edition? Will just get from local or SG once it arrives. If got the developer edition even better I read in hardwarezone spore the 64gb developer version available is not compatible with Msia/Spore LTE bands as is meant to match USA LTE bands This post has been edited by benny888: Apr 9 2013, 10:28 AM |

QUOTE(avanray @ Apr 9 2013, 12:18 PM) You will get used to itI felt same way too when I bought the Nexus 7. Similarly to the Xperia Z, you don't get to see stunning , vibrant colors with good contrasts. Their colors are more natural looking. And if you are used to , say HTC LCD displays, Samsung Amoled, iphone Retina, the Xperia display will initially turn you off. That was how I felt the first day I bought the phone and immediately expressed my point versus the much nicer display on the Butterfly Washout is infact a wrong term to describe it ; only greyish color tones will give you this washout effect and Sony purposely choose a greyish theme for its main wallpaper , giving many potential owners a wrong first impression about the display. Andrewtst initially also dislike the display but eventually succumb to buy it !! |

QUOTE(duck v3 @ Apr 9 2013, 09:10 PM) guess u dont know gsmarena is very biased towards samsung May I know this comparison article where is it biased towards Samsungthere isnt a single bad samsung flagship. dig out all the reviews urself Some other guys said gsmarena is biased towards HTC n Apple too I would say we read n judge ourself To give such a blanket statement is unfair to gsmarena They rating certsin features better on samsung doesnt necessary mean they are biased. What about those good stuffs they are saying on HTC? We judge these only when we evaluate both these ourselves This post has been edited by benny888: Apr 9 2013, 09:33 PM |

QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Apr 10 2013, 08:25 AM) htc one may not have wolfson DAC +++1; fully agreed with yousgs IV may crapify its audio output with 48kHz It doesn't matter if you are satisfied with the music coming out of the phone. Various websites gave photo samples comparing HTC camera with different smartphones. Judge them for yourselves as you are the who will be using the phone. We don't have to nitpick on such small difference between devices. You are not an audiophile or a camera pro. Just enjoy it! |

QUOTE(blugear @ Apr 10 2013, 11:20 AM) You for getting HTC Zoe.. Try Touchwiz on Note 2 - it is the best ; other Samsung TW UI on other phones ( S, S2, S3, Note) sucks. Anyway I also never like TW but Note 2 is simply amazing , a vast improvement. This is the only phone I do not mind using TW UI.From what I read in some forums, the touchwiz is still bloated hmm.. When I use touchwiz and sense, from my experience I feel touchwiz is not very stable and gets me freaking annoyed at times. I feel sense is more stable. I am comparing on both stock and custom roms. Sense might be hard to get used to at first but after that you will get used to it. I have used these roms since gb time.. HTC sense 4 till 4+ : also never like it and always use alternative launcher eg Nova. But Sense 5 on Butterfly ( I tested) is much smoother, more responsive and is less bloaty. Great improvement from HTC. You can always choose not to use the blinkfeed if you wish |

QUOTE(joytest @ Apr 10 2013, 07:36 PM) Would unlocking the bootloader or S-on/S-off thing void warranty like what Sony practices? That said, I haven't read enough about S-on/S-off except to know it's an unnecessary pain. This is HTC official statement ( some excerpts) about unlocking bootloader:It is our responsibility to caution you that not all claims resulting or caused by or from the unlocking of the bootloader may be covered under warranty. Our devices have been designed with our hardware and software specifications in mind and unlocking the bootloader will change the software and may cause unexpected side effects. It is impossible for HTC to ensure the proper functioning of your device after this. In the worst case scenario, it is possible that your device may be physically damaged due to overheating or the behavior of your device might be altered including, but not limited to, hearing aid compatibility (HAC) and specific absorption rate (SAR) values. Some content on your device may also be invalidated and cannot be accessed any more because of invalid DRM security keys. This includes content that you may have purchased through a 3rd party vendor and through HTC. Furthermore, although you will still be able to receive updates to your device via FOTA (“firmware over the air”), we do not guarantee that updating your device via FOTA will not render your device unusable. Please understand that you will not be able to return your device to the original state and going forward your device may not be held covered under the warranty for all claims resulting from the unlocking of the bootloader. HTC bears no responsibility if your device is no longer usable afterwards. It simply means , you do at your own risk and pray hard any claims might be entertained by HTC and its at HTC discretion |

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Apr 13 2013, 10:08 PM) Seems like there are hardware defects with HTC One: I tell you , this TS is picking up issues for nothing - like looking for a needle in a haystack. Most people will not even notice such stuffs. He is expecting a 100% perfect seam. Or like some guy say he is simply trollinghttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39835841 Not sure if this affects only a certain batch of HTC One? If I want to, I think I also can list out at least "10 defects" in any phone just to nitpick. Just pass me any phone, and I can list it out too these "10 defects" |
