QUOTE(Choongster @ Dec 23 2013, 09:59 AM)
I am aware of dual band..
but dual band got no coverage .. only good for streaming HD ..

I need coverage and a bit of decent speed...

I guess my plan now is to ... use repeaters around the house ..
replace Maxis's thompson router...either just plug another router in there and disable wifi... or totally remove the router...

homeplug is "useless" at my home now ...(*i tot i could run away with it ...)
can't get the speed i want ...
*
Donate the "homeplug" to me ok ?

The RM100 discount (from RM118 early bird promo in mid 2012) has been renamed from "RM100 Perpetual Discount" to "Access Fee Discount (RM100)" in my January bill.

I guess nothing's perpetual (forever) any more sad.gif

But last time we apply that time stated after 24 month still remain RM118.
*
Will update after July 2014.... that's when my 24-month contract ends.

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jan 14 2014, 05:11 PM)
In this case, must keep the 2013 bill properly in case Maxis play dirty.

DrPritchard mentions during the RM118 early-bird promo...the RM118 will stay as long as you are a subscriber even after the initial 24-month contract.

How do you view that? I didn't see any option for home broadband when I clicked to sign up. I'm using my sister's name for home fiber and she don't have any mobile plan.

QUOTE(Raj_95 @ Jun 15 2014, 01:04 PM)
Hey guys,

I am currently a P1 user (good lord that SHIt sucks, suffered for 4 years) and I decided to change plan to Astro IPTV with Maxis 10mpbs (I just started using astro) internet.
I am kinda scared and shocked to see so many bad reviews about maxis fibre :/

I don't plan games online. I just download songs, stream videos on youtube (mostly on phone) and watch/download tv series online. Since i'll be subscribing the 10mbps package downloading movies, songs/streaming tv series, videos will be rather fast, right?

I am kinda confused right now. :/
Please help, thanks.
*
Maxis Home Fibre should be better than P1 for sure...

He said that faulty power adapters for these Huawei modems are a very common problem and that Maxis technicians are seeing these fail left and right.

So if one experiences this similar problem, all one needs to do is swap out the cheapo adapter with a spare one that puts out 12V and at least 1A until they get the TM and their technician to get there to replace their Made in China crap modem.
*
You can get those replacement AC adaptor from Jalan Pasar @ about RM35 each.
Another idea : turn it off when not in use.... Anything that runs 24x7 are bound to fail sooner 3x faster than those who uses it for 8 hours a day.
