Yes, I noticed since last week iTunes Radio, spotify and netflix is buffering like crazy every few seconds. I thought it was my dns problem but when I connect with DiGi broadband, no buffering at all. The buffering is on my Apple TV, ipad and also iPhone.

Do you use unblock-us or VPN? I'm using unblock-us and netflix is buffering all the time now. Thinking of going for VPN if this resolve the problem.

I use tunlr.net and also unlocator.com, but buffering like crazy on maxis. when I connect to digi broadband via hotspot and use tunlr and unlocator, no problem. really frustrating!

Guys, I just tested my iTunes Radio and netflix today after almost giving up hope a week ago. Everything plays fine now. No buffering at all from all services and quality I get is 720p and above. Can anyone else confirm this?

aah, may i ask which dns/vpn are you using?  sorry if you've posted before.

how do you check if its 720p?  i just see if its clear or not..

if i enable hd, it buffers and then streams, the picture quality is very clear on a 50", but im afraid my cpu is not up to the task.  so after a while, the audio doensn't sync.

So i've pretty much turned off hd,  but the picture quality is quite good nevertheless.

However on hulu+ i'm able to stream hd very well.

I don't do itunes, so i can't comment.

thanks
*
Cannot verify, but the 720p is based on my eye perception. Using tunlr dns

actually decide between Maxis Fibre 30M with Unifi 20M.... now see all these complaints......

Actually, all the complaints were solved since a few days ago. I have no issues now. It was due to routing upgrade they must have screwed up something. Now all back to normal.

there is a saying,
maxshit screw u one time, it is their fault to screw you
maxshit screw u second time, it is your fault to let them

the problem has been there since v1 until v4
what tokking u - all back to normal.
normal means having problem.

I thought I was speaking in English? If u have trouble understanding it then I can't help you there.

Everything is back to normal for me and I'm happy with their services. If you're not happy, then do something about it or go sulk in a corner if it makes you better.

do i have to answer that?

while everyone is complaining and trying to find solution
to the never ending of throttle, shaping, high ping, disconnection, slow loading etc

your sudden reply with your cheerleading fashion
that everything will be back to normal in time
nothing can be done except wait
is like rubbing salt into the wounds of those in trouble.

and yes, that is pathetic considering you are in the same boat.

Again, you do not understand my statement. Everything is working fine for me, so that is exactly what I said. All those things you mentioned above could be happening to you and everyone else, but not to me. Next time, please read properly before making childish remarks that reflect on your level of intellect.

I will not continue this unproductive banter with individuals who have problems comprehending play school English. As this is a maxis user forum, I shall and will continue to post anything I feel like posting.

And to all the other dudes who spoke up for me, thanks. I rest my case. It's late and I want to sleep. God bless everyone.

Sadly not using Thompson as I am using Astro IPTV. I am using Technicolor router instead
*
The earlier method does not work with version 10 firmware of the technicolor router. Please use the telnet commands as per below URL. Just substitute the open dns values with the dns of your choice. Works beautifully. There are also optional commands to increase wireless coverage, etc which I have used as well. Enjoy.

called up ASTRO customer service, seems that my decoded is not running the latest firmware. Apparently when it was first installed, the decoded was not receiving a good signal from dish, so it didn't get the latest firmware.

Technician came the day after and recalibrate the dish, and somehow forced the firmware update.

Now working fine.

Guy, jus a litre advice. Make sure the installer have good signal from the dish, eventho the IPTV don't use it that much. Maybe someone else can explain this better than me.
*
This is absolute bullshit. IPTV does not need the dish at all. I don't even have my coaxial cables plugged in. They are lying to you through their teeth. Only the home fibre can use the hybrid setup, but that's not needed for IPTV to function.

Yes, you're using public ip. rclxms.gif
The other way to verify is by looking at your username in your modem. If it is xxxxxx@public.maxis.com.my ur using public ip, if it is xxxxxx@home.maxis.com.my, then it's private ip.

I spotted the problem already. You're still using the Thomson router tongue.gif
Seriously just change to the ASUS N12 like me and enjoy the problem free connectivity.

Is there a router replacement solution for Astro IPTV users with Maxis Broadband?
