QUOTE(ilfort @ Apr 2 2013, 03:28 PM) Show her all the Brickpicker articles on LEGO investment. When she sees Modulars prices shooting up after EOL, she'll give you the green light and maybe wants a piece of the action and wanna buy her own sets! |

QUOTE(Charsiupao @ Apr 2 2013, 10:46 PM) No Funhouse? My wife asked me what I wanted for anniversary, and I told her funhouse, and even showed her where in Suntec TRU it was going for a discount. Then after we went back to KL she said "forgot to buy", then went on a long tirade about how she had to look after the kids, put the small kid to sleep, where got time to buy things? and so on , and so on.. .... Not yet. That and Arkham Asylum on my Wishlist. When did you see it at Suntec TRU? |

QUOTE(mizzfancypants @ Apr 3 2013, 12:50 AM) The Batcave box has some dents and creases. Already opened Catwoman Cycle Chase and one of The Bat Vs Tumbler sets. Will definitely open and build more but no time and have to prioritize other stuff first. For now, will just lick the mint boxes and admire them. Or hug them to sleep on rotation basis |

QUOTE(dilvin @ Apr 3 2013, 07:36 AM) Wah! Isetan selling at rm280??? Before I clicked in the link, I thought it was LEGO Space theme Btw, this has been posted in previous thread before. To those that need more SPACE Edit: This proves I'm a lost cause. Totally poisoned by LEGO now These are popular overseas. This is news to me thanks. Good to know there are options. I read some bros here (and know friends) who hide purchases from their spouses. You have options now But haven't read the whole site yet - what about security of your items I.e. any insurance? I think the Friends sets are more like a scaled-down version of Barbie. I don't think I'd buy Friends sets for myself, unless I have a daughter.
I guess my 1/6th figures are like man-dolls (I prefer the term "Action Figure" or Collectibles). I buy clothes, uniforms and gear to dress them up |

QUOTE(hades4eve @ Apr 3 2013, 10:53 AM) No. Not yet From Oct 2012 - Mar 2013 hauled 9 sets. Average approximately 2 sets/month. At the rate I'm going, maybe by end of Oct 2013 will have enough to mix and match. But that would mean I have to start buying minifigs Slow day. Think aftet 1pm, spam pics of all the lunch time haul will start coming up. |

I must stop watching LEGOClubTV's designer videos!
Already watched a few and they are deadly poison! Watching them makes me wanna buy those sets! So far I remember watching: - Arkham Asylum: already planning to buy whether I watched the video or not - The Lord Of The Rings: Mines Of Moria: as above. In my wishlist - Modular Town Hall - Monster Fighters: Haunted House: the color scheme kinda bothers me though. Not a big fan of the green exterior God, give me strength to resist....... QUOTE(aba9785 @ Apr 4 2013, 09:04 AM) i give up in resisting... I never gave the Friends sets any thought. What sort of parts can be used?me also aiming Haunted House now... dont worry about the green, u can add some parts from Friends set to make it nicer Besides, my priority would be to complete my Batman sets first. Then thinking about moving on to Lord Of The Rings theme. Or a Police Station (Commissioner Gordon needs a place to hangout). Then after that maybe Modulars too I think I'm quite safe in the sense I'm quite picky. I don't think I'm at the stage where I'd get a set because it's EOL. I'd get it only if it interests me. I saw a MOC of a modular Police Station on Eurobricks forum so if LEGO does release a modular Police Station, it'll go into my wishlist too. I think this is a possibility seeing they already have the Firehouse. Maybe just need to be patient or I'll go for Set # 7498. EDIT: ARGHHH! Just saw this set on eBay for RM 620 Super Pack # 66388 ![]() QUOTE(daydreaming @ Apr 4 2013, 09:15 AM) nice one bro. but no time also. will be busy shooting people Damn. That sucks. Hope it gets sorted out soon bro.ya, i drove for 10 min only....within 4-5km radius. VSA activated, so u r like driving with handbrake on. is a honda civic. will be shooting honda malaysia today. not sure if i can get a replacement car or not. aih. QUOTE(didsterius @ Apr 4 2013, 10:09 AM) OMG. Gone for 2 whole days and so many things happened here! LOL. Welcome back.Good morning big children! mate, you must really love her. either that, you're scared of her, cos you're letting her dictate your every move. i'm sorry if this offends you, and i don't mean to pry. But it's your hard earned money, you choose how you wanna spend it. And it's not like you don't spend any on her, she's a very lucky girl. in fact I would guess that you spend most on her and kept only some for yourself. I would understand if she is your wife. Maybe she wants it all for her, that's why she's nagging so much. She's lucky you're not wasting your money gambling or on booze and other women. You're just buying Lego & toys. She's got no right to dictate your spending. I'm a girl, and even I think however she's treating you is wrong. Again, I'm sorry, but i think if it's too much work, and you can't be yourself, and too much sacrifice, it's just not worth. Or she'd better be your one in a million or something. I like this design! Dunno if you've answered but I asked which software you used and if you're an architect or something cos you're very very creative. Oh yes you can! Haunted house is a very beautiful set. It's the first set made to look runned down, abandoned and in ruins. It's my most favourite one, and I was going nuts when it was released on halloween 2012! And managed to secure a set, built it over the weekend almost immediately. One day, I might tear it down and probably use the green bricks to rebuild the green grocer So says the "high maintenance" girlfriend. Kidding You work and pay for your own LEGO. Just like all of us here. But I must agree, the Haunted House has a certain kind of charm to it. Can't quite put my finger on it. But the green still kinda bothers me. QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Apr 4 2013, 10:19 AM) pity u bro..hopefully can solve the problem quickly.. Oh, I will get Arkham. I must. u should get arkham since ur batman fan..hehe i too interested on the haunted house after watching the review This post has been edited by Bigfoot-X: Apr 4 2013, 10:37 AM |

QUOTE(vey99 @ Apr 4 2013, 11:52 AM) just sharing my favourite moc of a house: villa hillcrest Beautiful. Looks like my old office. thats the kinda house i wanna live in when on holiday. ![]() QUOTE(hades4eve @ Apr 4 2013, 12:13 PM) Need to stay away from Star Wars. It seems like never ending story - the universe is too rich and it's still expanding. Even more when Episode VII comes out with Justin Bieber as Luke Skywalker in flashback scenes.I probably need to stick to something that isn't as merchandise heavy. Batman theme is already a killer and I'm thinking of starting LOTR. Lucky I only like Fellowship Of The Ring (Two Towers and Return Of The King not so much) so if I do start LOTR, I'd probably skip next waves. Of course there's the modulars and who knows what else. Have a thing for Knights as well....... and at one point I was considering the Dino theme. |

QUOTE(Charsiupao @ Apr 4 2013, 02:29 PM) The Blu-Ray is, I think, almost RM500. You could get some nice Star Wars sets for that money... Blu-ray for Star Wars Saga can get for less than RM 350 I think.I wish they still had the DVD collection, but I read somewhere that Lucasfilm wanted Star Wars to be a Blu-Ray exclusive or something. I still have the old DVDs but my kids managed to somehow snap my New Hope DVD.... so annoying! Star Wars LEGO is great poison - even more so than Lord of the Rings. You have the minifigs, the sets, and the spaceships, and they're getting nicer and nicer. The only thing I hate about Star Wars LEGO is how the new versions make the old versions look ugly and obsolete, and you then have to figure out where to keep the old ones. Like the Harry Potter series, Star Wars also had a few years of yellow LEGO men, so it's all mixed up and a bit annoying... but the new sets are REALLY poison! Tolkien was smart for creating a whole new Earth complete with different races and creatures and even his own language. Lucas was smarter. He created a Universe. That Bieber as Skywalker thing was something I came across browsing the Web. Here's something else. Too funny not to share. The title was "How To Anger 4 Different Groups Of Fanboys". You can say its "kinda" LEGO related. Although I think I already did with that JB pic » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Bigfoot-X: Apr 4 2013, 03:00 PM |
