QUOTE(manutd1003 @ Mar 27 2013, 06:14 PM) I think I know what the issue is: try scroll to the bottom of the page and see if there is a button for "Desktop" version. I believe shortcuts for tags are disabled when using mobile. Not using iPhone anymore but my Note 2 switches to mobile automatically. No Museum Break In or High Speed Chase yet? Always have a soft spot for cops. Love cop shows and movies. My first huge LEGO set was a Police Station. Too bad I don't have it anymore |

Finally, got my internet back after a week. Old modem died but applied for Unifi instead
Don't know how I could survive on Screamyx for so long. QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 29 2013, 09:58 AM) Thank you for the pictures.... the price of hobbit sets still doesn't justify its content at all! Lowyat sellers still giving a better price No problem. Sharing is caring bro.QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Mar 29 2013, 10:26 AM) Howevery, actually it is much better than going out to drink/smoke ... or worse find chicks. QUOTE(van_romario @ Mar 29 2013, 01:50 PM) Hi guys, Welcome. And I'm a Batman collector too.I've been lurking around for quite a while. What can I say. I've been poisoned looking at pictures of the collections you guys have. I was a minifigures fans, but now, after hours of reading this thread, I'm a modular fan too. Lego played a small part during my childhood but I can't remember much. So it all started when I went to a Lego shop in Frankfurt. Then, I didn't know that such store existed. I bought few key chains and minifigures set. Last year, I was stuck in Houston for two months for training. The place I was staying is far away for attarctions that interest me. So I went to a nearby Lego store at least once in a week. There, I bought few Superheroes sets, mainly because of the minifigures. I always bring minifigures with me whenever I go. In my bag now, I have a Sandtrooper, a Batman, an Ironman, and a Bilbo Baggins. Now, I'm back in the US for a month. I just went to a Lego store in NYC, and man, I am hooked with modular sets. But I shall resist, as I'm planning to buy few Superheroes and Star Wars sets. Perhaps, I want to collect all available Batman versions. It's such a lengthy introduction, isn't? I don't intend to offend any sellers/members here. I am aware that few members here do CS once in a while. I intend to bring few sets back with me, if anyone is interested. I'll be back in Malaysia at the end of April. Again, I apologise if I offend anyone here. If so, I'll scrap this plan and keep following (lurking, posting, pictures) this thread. I'll post pictures when I decide what sets to buy. |

QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 29 2013, 04:40 PM) Initially during my come back to LEGO, she doesn't really like to idea as LEGO isn't cheap and its considered as TOYS. If me, my wife would probably expect something inside the the box So i thought why not i import more LEGO along with the sets i want then sell them to help fund my LEGO. Well she ok with the idea. Then one fine day when i bought Superheroes Loki's cosmic cube escape from Uncle Kenny. My wife wanted to build it and she likes LEGO after completing it Then i bought her spring time scene as a gift and she built that too. But I do found another girl friend of mine who play Xbox 360 and loves collectibles, but she is wayyy older than me Like bro Caryane said, age not an issue. Change gf. |

QUOTE(hades4eve @ Mar 29 2013, 06:04 PM) Is this the one with the injured Luke (think there's a printing on the box that states Han, Leia and Luke are new designs or something - think Luke's new hair is better than the older ones. Looks more modern-ish)? I saw this at Toys R Us 1UEDIT: Oops, the set I saw at TRU 1U was Set # 7879: Hoth Echo Base, not Battle Of Hoth. Can't remember the price though May be heading down to Mid Valley later. Will check out what's new there. This post has been edited by Bigfoot-X: Mar 29 2013, 06:11 PM |

QUOTE(happy toy @ Mar 29 2013, 06:29 PM) check this out, taiwan AFOL secret hide out. Nice find. I respect their dedication to their hobby (Business too I'm sure. Probably mixed business with pleasure http://pockyland.net/viewthread.php?tid=32462&extra=page%3D1 http://pockyland.net/viewthread.php?tid=11313&extra=page%3D1 http://pockyland.net/viewthread.php?tid=47586&extra=page%3D1 http://pockyland.net/viewthread.php?tid=46940&extra=page%3D1 [WTS]Bela Ninja, enlighten, sluban. [WTS]Star Diamond, enlighten. But what bothers me about those photos is that if those shelves etc. is out in the open (i.e. the hall etc), it doesn't look like a home anymore. It's just so cluttered. It's good that they put the boxes in cupboards etc. but who knows, they maybe staying in a small apartment or something. Makes me wonder - what happens the day I have no more space for cupboards. Will this happen to me too? Will I become one of these types of collectors? Still can resist a lot of temptation so that will be a long way off ....... Sorry - no offence to anyone here if your homes are like this and it's just a personal opinion. What's your strategy to overcome this issue? I read somewhere that HK superstar Louis Koo is a collector of 1:1 scale items and he stores them in a warehouse. Saw some scans from some book or magazine. How nice it is to be rich and have a warehouse to store your toys and LEGO This post has been edited by Bigfoot-X: Mar 29 2013, 06:43 PM |
