Ahem.

Back on topic. When I was thinking how nice it would be to have the Haunted House, I started thinking of the MOC possibilities. Naturally, I started thinking about one of my favorite TV series, "Supernatural".

Anybody here a fan of the series?

I think CMF Series 5 Lumberjack would make an excellent Bobby Singer!

As much as I love Batman, I also have love for Fantasy and Medievel (ex Dungeons & Dragons player/Dungeon Master yo), supernatural as well as cops and robbers, adventure and also Sci-Fi (yeah, I love guns and big explosions too!)

I think that's the beauty of LEGO where there seems to be something (or more!) for everybody.

Found this MOC from one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies, from the year 1986, James Cameron's "Aliens".

Sorry if this has been shared before. But slow morning at work .......

Aliens - Colonial Marines APC MOC

LEGO is awesome!

That happened to me for my Batcave. Got it more than RM 100 cheaper than retail so I thought I could live with some minor box damage. But I'd personally prefer as close to perfect boxes if possible. Part of my minor OCD tongue.gif

Well what if hole is small one, maybe 5c size, i think still can accept.
Which comes to my next ques, esp say for pre order. You wont know condition of box until you cod,/delivered but by then u aledi pd some deposit. How?  rclxub.gif
Hehe i think a lot of us ocd a bit. But 100 cheaper is how much percentage wise?
*
RM 100 cheaper than retail. I think retail at that time was RM 479.90. I got it for about RM 350. I guess about 20%?

Today's LEGO haul from 1 Utama Toys R Us ........

user posted image

It totally caught me by surprise and never expected to see. I was totally excited that I muttered some words that cannot mentioned in this family-oriented forum which starts with the letter "F". The kid around 12 years old next to me was looking at me funny. He must've been thinking "What's wrong with this dude? Getting so excited in a toy store!".

RRP is same as Lazada's pricing. I got some unused 1U card points so I got a substantial discount.

See manutd1003 so excited until double posted too tongue.gif

I guess you can imagine my shock/excitement when I saw it with my own eyes biggrin.gif

I have the same shock when they reduce the price for Imperial Shuttle from 1799 to 1199 ...

Lucky for you that you can get it now.
I think i just wait ... biggrin.gif

Mine wasn't that much the price but the fact that I get to see, touch and hold the actual set in my hands. Anyone, if anyone interested, they have (had?) 1 more set. I asked them to check the system but no other branches have it (according to the manager).

QUOTE(scpt @ Apr 7 2013, 10:27 PM)

No. Not yet bro. Someone in BOM has the whole set I think. I'm still missing the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape.

Yours is super haul. I know alot of people like the Millennium Falcon and have itnon their wishlist.

Honestly, I'd be tempted to get it too along with an X-Wing. Even though I'm not a big fan. They're just iconic ships. Almost got the X-Wing too!

It's the same as a few years back when I was tempted to get a Yamato VF-0S fighter from Macross Zero. Just because I like the design. I'm not a big Macross fan either tongue.gif

Hi bro, it was same as Lazada's price. RM 699.90.

On the subject of Lazada, I don't know if it's just me or are most of the LEGO sets no longer listed (or sold out?). I could've sworn I saw a lot more sets on that site like Hobbit, Ninjago, Creator etc.

aih, been very busy fighting a war with honda (my post went viral on FB). no time to update my stocks tonight. my major shipment will b reaching me tonight...after delays in US side. =_=

Viral indeed. One of my ex colleagues shared your post and I subscribed. Is it the post of the white Civic being towed?

I loved Hondas and used to drive an imported EK-3 1997 model. No problems till this day. However, planning to have it up for sale. She's been very loyal to me.

I still can't get over the fact that it was in TRU.

The price is good because I got it even cheaper with my 1 Card points. So I got a pretty good deal as I got:
- cheaper than retail price
- collect TRU Star Points
- collect Credit Card points and maybe 5% cash back rebate

Speaking of TRU Star Points, I asked one of the store managers yesterday and he told me the TRU card can be used to collect points in in Asia only like Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong etc.

Can anyone confirm?

Let me clarify. The reason I want to check is because I want to find out first hand if anyone has has done this before.

Can't take TRU word 100% as they already gave me wrong info yesterday. I was at Ikano to buy dog food at Pet Safari and stopped by TRU. Nothing of interest (or rather, nothing of priority).

That's when I went to 1U. 2 AA sets on shelf. Took to counter and asked staff to check if they have new stock. They said no but Ikano has 3 sets. I said "I just came from Ikano and there was none".

A manager (1 of 2 I spoke to) came out and I spoke to him. Then he told me there was data entry error. The 3 sets in the system was actually at the 1U store. doh.gif

The manager I spoke to about the Star Card points was another manager.

The points collected with TRU StarCard Malaysia cannnot use in Singapore lah... else we can go to Singapoore to redeem SGD10 voucher with points collected in Malaysia.

QUOTE(ilfort @ Apr 8 2013, 10:15 AM)
But you use the card in SGD they gives you points wor, that was long ago. . . back in 2007-2009 I think.
*
Yup. This is what I've been made to understand. Have you tried this in other countries?

Example if I go to TRU Hong Kong and get massive haul, I can get Star Points which will be converted to Ringgit Malaysia equivalent.

Can only redeem/use in Malaysia but can collect points at all TRU in Asia.

Maybe will email them later and see if I get a response and will share findings here.
