QUOTE(EdwinCodec @ Apr 7 2013, 08:13 PM) Damn it. stupid Digi unit seriously. Wifi pass all right. Restart your router. And all SME units are the same irregardless u get it from SME or digi or maxis or.... etc. There is no such thing as digi unit or maxis unit etc. QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Apr 7 2013, 08:55 PM) When unifi was 1st introduced , there was a problem with the modem not being able to connect to android phones for a few people unless there's a certain settings done . I can't remember exactly what is it but before going back to digi , drop by any public wifi n give it a try . Or u can try use your iphone to tether to your phone ( possible right or is there any restrictions for wifi tethering on ios like BB ) I think uncle benny recommend to change the unifi modem. Forgot the yellow one or the black one was problematic. This post has been edited by antt00: Apr 7 2013, 09:47 PM

I've tried all the above methods. None of them works. I even tried using hotspot from my iPhone 5, and it doesn't connect as well.

Try changing WiFi channel on router? 1,6 and 11 are the preferred ones. Try B&G only.

In which case I suspect it supports 5GHz for n, not for a since a is like ages ago (11mbps). Anyone with a swanky router setup can confirm this? According to the spec sheet from Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/mobile-...7100RWDXME-specWiFi a/b/g/n HT40 I just did a quick read, it looks like HT40 is some kind of extra bandwidth pumping feature that is supposed to handle Miracast/Allshare Widi type of thing. EDIT: Does your router support n? This post has been edited by joytest: Apr 7 2013, 10:50 PM

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Apr 7 2013, 10:56 PM) my office using RT56U got 5ghz but my note 2 cant detect but my computer can. There are different flavors of "n" which I'm not entirely familiar with. Perhaps a kernel module update could fix this 5GHz thing.

BTW all, thanks for the participation in the kernel survey.
Looks like Perseus is the favorite now.
As I mentioned earlier, by Wednesday I'll remove my "test" rows and leave the rest intact.
You can submit more than one entry whenever you try a new kernel or new version.
Everyone who is using a custom Kernel, or even Stock, please participate.
I have put the link to the survey form in my sig.

EDIT: Does your router support n? I also not so familiar with networking stuffs. But I've tried on 2 different routers. D-link 2750u and Asus n12u B1. Unfortunately, both on 5ghz bandwidth unable to support my note 2. Whereby 2.4ghz is all good for my note 2.
