QUOTE(zweimmk @ Feb 18 2013, 03:33 PM)
Ok, just came back from my test drive at Glenmarie Showroom. First the negatives:
1. The boot hinges. I absolutely hated how you can actually see the wire tubing sticking together with the boot hinge as you open the boot. At least with the new Civic, the hinges are covered with a big piece of plastic that hides away the wires. It's little things like this that give away its Japanese origins
2. No spare tire. No idea what they were thinking with this. To me, this is pretty much a deal-breaker
3. Rear seat sloping roof. It slopes a little low for my liking even though there's still ample space in the back. Despite the long wheelbase, the class leader in space still belongs to the Camry.
4. i-stop function. It worked but honestly, it's so glitchy. The implementation is light years behind what Mercedes and BMW have done with their eco-stop. The engine will shut off at a stop, but it will come on again on its own even when you haven't pressed anything. I took my hand off the steering wheel, and it's the same deal. I hope this is just a showroom car thing because it's just annoying. Also, it's fairly obvious when the engine turns itself on again, not a big deal, but it's just one of those minor things that is glaring to me
5. Engine roar. Some people would actually like this, I don't. Pressing the accelerator, the power feels slow to kick in, there is some lag, then when it does, the engine noise is quite obvious - it's not a bad sound but if I were to compare this to the Koreans, I would say the M6 engine still sounds a little better and more refined. You also really need to work the engine to 3000RPM and above before you can feel the kick. On the plus side, the rev counter revs really quickly, so it hits 3000RPM fairly quickly, but you will notice the needle climb.
6. Instrumentation cluster - I don't like it. It feels cluttered, together with the I-eloop display.
Positives
1. Big boot - It's got a deep boot. It looks like you will be able to put plenty of luggage in the trunk. Definitely nowhere as big as the Passat but certainly good enough for a family of 4 unless you're packing XL size luggage.
2. RVM - The implementation is simple but it works and I appreciate that
3. LDWS - Again, the implementation is smart. It knows when you are veering off and when you are actually changing lanes on purpose.
4. Comfortable seats - Very comfortable, drivers and passengers will really enjoy the seats.
5. Bose Sound System - I tested the sound for radio reception for awhile. It's actually quite decent. Pure audiophiles will probably want to change this but for most people, they would be very contended with this
6. GPS looks accurate
7 Beautiful exterior design
First off, this is not a continental car. The minor details gives it away and the doors aren't as heavy too, but they are still nicely weighted. The dashboard design is a little dated but the quality of materials are top notch, a generous of dose of soft-touch plastics have been used in its construction. Road noise is also very well controlled, there is minimal intrusion at low speeds. Since I didn't get a chance to go high speed, I wasn't able to tell how it would perform at high speeds. Another thing to note that the tires are new, so this will play a part as well in its noise performance. Compared to my Passat, the cabin feels more airy, while my car feels more pressurized when the doors are close. I actually prefer the airy feel, I'm not sure if any of you will understand what I'm saying here but for those that do, you get what I mean. The suspension handles the rough patches of roads rather well and the biggest joy for me is the lack of any rattling when you go over rough roads. With my Passat, you can hear some rattling coming from the rear/boot over certain types of roads which can be a little annoying at times. The new Mazda 6 also corners well, so those of you who like taking fast corners, you'd be pleased to know that they've done a good job controlling the body roll.
Now as per CM98 findings, the acceleration lag can be felt. As a driver, any turbocharged continental will still feel more eager and ready to pounce at you the moment you allow it to. That's not to say the Mazda 6 is bad, it's just that the power is just more linear and some people prefer that. I think the overtaking power is there, but drivers will need to work the car a little. Can it do 0 to 100 in 8.2s as advertised? Probably not 8.2s but more like 8.5s or so, although the initial acceleration and burst of power feels a little slow to kick in, once you hit the RPM range, the speedometer will move very quickly towards 100km/hr if you keep your foot down.
This is probably the D-segment driver orientated car the Japanese have to offer. It's quiet, it's got ample amount of space (although still not exactly bigger than the Camry or Teana) and I guess that's about all I can think of to say about the car right now.
Is it worth the sticker price? That really depends on what you compare it against. Against other Japanese, definitely. Against continentals, I still don't think so.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Feb 18 2013, 09:23 AM)
Guys, i managed to get 3 test drives in the Mazda 6 over the weekend. Both were in the 2.5L red version at Bermaz Glenmarie. First time with full load, 2nd time with only the salesman and 3rd time i was a passenger.
After 3 test drives, i cant say that im impressed with the car. Except for the good external design and Skyactiv tech, i found many other stuff lacking.
For starters, i found the car was shockingly sluggish for a 2.5L. Even my friends who took turns to drive mentioned the same thing. Not sure if its because the engine hasnt been fully run in or otherwise but its power is no where close to the Camry 2.5V. If the 2.5L version is this sluggish, I can only imagine how underpowered the 2.0L version is gonna be. I found the 2.5L engine to be quite loud and unrefined when pushed. Sounded very much like the K5 engine and no where as refined as the Camry for sure. I also noticed a considerable lag when the accelerator was floored. I thought this was usually the case with turbo engines but was surprised to see it happen with this.
Although i found the seats to be quite comfortable, but it was a bit of a squeeze for 3 adults at the back. So despite being a wider car, the exterior dimensions do not translate to the interior. The Camry and K5 had more internal width space for sure. Legroom was acceptable. But i found the suspension to be quite good going over rough roads.
As for the tech, the engine I - Stop function didnt work. The salesman said that it only works if the car interior is cold enough. I dont know the logic behind this but if this is true, then this function is very different to the Merc type. In all 3 tests, this function didnt work despite the temp settings to be minimum. So not sure whats the use of it.
As for the Smart City Brake, the salesman said it will only function if there is absolute ZERO steering wheel input. He said that if your hands are on the wheel and there is even a slight movement, it wont work. Thats why Bermaz issued an instruction for all test drive vehicles to have the system dis-engaged to avoid drivers testing the system and then finding out it wont work under the above conditions. If this is true, i would say this is another almost useless feature and surely different from the Ford Focus version.
Boot space was good but i cannt understand the logic behind not having a spare tyre. What happens if you experience a tyre blowout on the highway? The repair kit will be absolutely useless. Plus i dont think the repair kit would work if the puncture is big or in more than 1 location.
After spending about 2.5 hrs at Bermaz with 5 friends who are car freaks as well, we came away a bit disappointed. Plus Bermaz setting a price tag of 160K and 190K for the 2.0L and 2.5L respectively, will not do its sales any good. Im was actually hoping this car would take a good chunk of sales away from the Camry but after 3 test drives, i doubt this is gonna happen. Surely not at this price range.
For the guys that have booked the car, i would strongly recommend you look at other models in the market. This car is surely not worth its price tag despite the Skyactiv tech or whatsoever. But that's just my opinion.

Was actually went to test drive the 2.5L again at Puchong branch, it is raining that time. Something to share here.
1. Raining? No worry, confirm no sound from the roof. I can only hear water droplets sound from the windscreen.
2. Soul red paint actually more expensive than any other colors. (3 layers paint, according to SA)
3. Engine roaring sound (2.5L) come from speakers, just like BMW M5.
4. Manually fold side mirror, electrically. (Twist the knob all the way up)
5. Bose sound system on the 2.5L is not any better than 2.0L. (Tested with USB, MP3 format)
6. Voice comment and navigation are accurate.
7. Performance is there (2.5L), but I feel 2.0L drive more smoother and more comfy.

Just went for test drive with the 2.5L at Bermaz PJ.
In terms on power delivery, like many other have said, if you press on the pedal and take it above 3k rpm you'd feel the torque and power kicking in. Else it's a great cruiser. With such low revs, it's bound to be fuel efficient. I also like the RVM system it's very useful. LDW would be useful in highway driving. Else I find it annoying for city driving. Any lane it crosses also got warning.
I must highlight that the cabin sound insulation is very good. Outside the dealership there was this decorative fan blowing thingy... And it was really loud when I opened the sunroof. But when I closed it, can only hear a slight hint of the fan in cabin.
The steering and seating position is very ergonomic. From outside you will notice that it has a pretty long hood, you'd expect to have difficulty viewing the front if you. But once seated inside, the field of view is just perfect. You won't have difficulties manoeuvring this big car around.
Hold the steering at 3-9 position while driving and it gives you good control of the car. Very nice grip. The leather cushion is of course plush and comfortable.
Cabin finish is something you'd find similar to an Audi. Didn't try the navigation. Briefly tested the speaker system only, so no comment. The passenger seats are very spacious. Ample leg room and I think even with 4 adult passengers behind, they won't find it too cramped. I think this is mainly because the center passenger seat isn't raised too high. Of course it's just perfect with 3 passengers.
For boot space, it is insanely huge and we all know why. Can easily smuggle 2 adults and 3 kids cross border. XD just jk
Overall, really impressed with the car. It's feels like a premium luxury car. The car matched with soul red is absolutely perfect, it makes anyone who looks at it, ADMIRE it. There are not many cars out there that can give you that impression. It highlights the curves and trim lines of the car.
After viewing the soul red M6 in person... The wait is killing me!!!
SA told me for Bermaz PJ, first batch delivery will take place March 13 ahead of official launch. Those who's on their first batch... Super jealous of you!!!
SA let me take photos of the wagon and sedan soul red in their training Center. Will share will you all when I have access to a computer.

QUOTE(akbarS @ Mar 23 2013, 07:55 PM) I took delivery of my Soul Red 2.0 at Glenmarie Mazda this afternoon. Took it for a long ride to Kuala Selangor to enjoy the drive while stopping for Ikan Bakar at Pantai Jeram. Then drove back in heavy rain to Rawang. So far so good. I am enjoying it.
The engine is not exactly powerful but adequate. The ride on 17 inch is comfortable, but I think tyre roar is quite laudible. The engine sound a bit rough at some point but silky while on the move. The iStop can be a bit jerky.
Anyhow, i am falling in love already with this car.

Just for your information, most dealers will be getting showroom cars around end February. The 1st batch to be delivered around March. Rumors are some might get their cars around End Feb or early march. Other than that, unless bookings went sky high, first 5-10 bookings should be deliverable within march. Those who missed might need to wait till May/June for the 2nd batch. However, all this are still pure speculation. I would suggest those who wants the car booked first then cancel if you dislike the car after test drive since its 100% refundable (unless you got your loan approved and ready).

And just one of the reasons its custom-engineered Bose surround sound system is a perfect match. This 11-speaker system delivers concert-like sound, yet is smaller, lighter and more energy-efficient than systems with comparable performance. It is also uniquely matched to the sedan interior so the system performs at its best in that specific acoustic space.

Owners with navigation in your 2013 Mazda 6, you can use the TomTom Home desktop software (available for WIN/OSX) to update your GPS system to the latest version.
Our TomTom device is known as the Mazda Navigation System NB1. My car came with system Version 10.815. Latest version is Version 10.817.
10.817 Update Notes:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Version 10.817 (Mazda Navigation System NB1) Fixes:
-In some cases while driving backwards, the car-symbol pointed in the wrong direction. -In a very few cases during startup, a 'stopping voice control' message was spoken but voice control remained on. -In some cases, the navigation system did not connect with the HeadUnit/Radio. -Pressing the back-button on the 'commander' could display the wrong screen. -Where a road was reported closed by a traffic information source, the system might not have correctly recalculated a route avoiding the roadblock.
Improvements:
-You can now access the main menu using a dedicated button on the screen. -When pressing the NAV button on the HeadUnit/Radio, you now go to the main navigation screen. -In the background of the Speech Recognition screen, you can now easily read the most important commands. -For POI selection, POI in city has become POI in a city to make it clear that you must first enter a city name.
To update, install the TomTom home software on your computer. Connect your Mazda Navigation SD Card to the computer and launch the software. You will be prompted for device updates if there are any. Choose the updates you want and continue. Once update has been downloaded and installed in your SD card, safely remove/disconnect it from your computer. Update is not complete yet. You have to complete the update in the car.
Plug in the SD card back into your car and let the system boot up. Press the Navi button on the console and wait for the system to prompt you for update. It will show your existing version and the version to be installed. Click the green checkmark to complete. During installation you will see the following screen
Do not switch off the system/engine or open the SD card slot when the update is running. (I did my update without starting up car). Maybe it's better to start the car and let it run while you're updating the navigation system. After the update is successful, press the green checkmark to continue.
Press the Navi button and let the TomTom navi system bootup. May take longer than usual. Verify system version by going into system info _______________________________________________________________________________________________

For those whose car comes with navigation. Try this custom POI set that I compiled from Malfreemaps MFM custom POI for Garmin. I converted the files included in that package to a format that TomTom navigation device can support and also added custom icons. Full credit goes to original Custom POI contributors at malfreemaps.
I am currently testing them. So, if you'd like to try, can download the attached file. It includes the following Custom POIs
MFM-Accident Area v2.9 MFM-AES Speed Trap v1.4 MFM-Expressway R&R Stop areas v5.1 MFM-Night Market POIs v2.22 MFM-Redlight Cameras v1.9 MFM-Road Junctions MFM-School Zone v2.1 MFM-SGRC_B_W_091206 MFM-SGRC_S_W_091206 MFM-Sharp Bend v3.6 MFM-Speed Traps & Camera v5.6 MFM-State Border V1.0 MFM-Toll Plazas v2.3 MFM-Tunnel v1.7 MFM-Touch n Go Hubs v1.0
You will need to take out your SD card from your car and plug it into a card reader. Extract the zip file and copy the extracted files into the folder that contains our local map (Malaysia/Singapore) folder. How to load custom POIs into SD card? Click ME!
[attachmentid=3352559]
Once you have copy the files, load the SD card back into the car. If you want the GPS to alert you when you approach the custom POIs, you can set custom warnings.
How to set the warnings for Custom POIs on 2013 Mazda 6 (equipped with Navigation)
Activate Navigation mode. From the main menu navigate to Settings>Click arrow>Locate "Manage POIs" and select it.
If you get cricket noise from center console, open the hand rest , take off the felt mat at the bottom. You will see two screws at the bottom, take off the two screws and put some insulation between the screw and plastic.
I used fabric wire harness tape doubled up a few times and pierce a hole through it , then put the screw through it and re tightened the screws.
Because the screw and plastic body has no washer or rubber and when the screws works loose it starts to rub and creates cricket noises.
Diagnosis: when you hear the noise , try pushing or pulling th center console to tension it. If the noise goes away , chances are the screw running is the culprit
Tip 2:
For GVC model owners , after your first service make sure the SC does the below procedure to reset the oil change indicator, just resetting the mazda touch screen is not enough. Mine suddenly came on today , asking to change oil , because I saw the tech that did my car only reset the maintenance monitor.
So I just did it myself to clear the warning [attachmentid=8928465]

Well, although I cannot make up my mind to buy this M6 yet, I can't stop admiring it and think of buying it. I have to say that I've never followed up with any car so much. I guess I'll continue to follow up with this forum, no ending, even if I'm not buying one for myself. Hope you all don't mind. I enjoy the discussion so much. I really like the concept and design of this M6.
2 reasons for me not buying one: (just sharing) 1. 2.5L is a bit too expensive IMOH. The price is not well justified. 2. 2.0L doesn't look complete. End up, not getting it due to these reasons, unless I decided to just go ahead with 2.5L without thinking too much. But the fact is I can't neglect the above 2 points.
Anyway, congratulations to all new Mazda6 owners. You've got a very nice car. Everyone will envy you.

Sadly, car prices looks like it will remain that way. The only complete looking car now is the KIA K5. Don't expect the Accord 2.0 to be well equipped either.
If you look at the price trend now:
B segment -> edging towards 100k, high 80k to 90k is looking to be the norm. Even the KIA Rio is moving itself into the 80k region. Only the most kosong spec will still retain the under 80k price. C segment -> edging towards 135k. Again, the exception to this is the KIA Forte, but everything else is slowing moving upwards D segment -> All high end specs are now in the 180k region and going into the 190k region. Even the Sonata high spec is now sitting in the middle half of the 170k region. The entry spec now begins around 150k except for the KIA K5.
The way car prices are going now, it's getting crazy.

Yeah at first i was a bit disappointed that the K5 was priced at 143,888 (OTR). But after really giving it some thought, i realised that its actually reasonable for what's on offer. Yes the K5 still lacks in refinement and handling, but can u really expect so much when ure only paying RM 143K? I paid only approx RM 105K after trading in my Vios. Imagine that.
But yes, as you mentioned, car prices seem to be experiencing an uptrend in all segments. Much like property in some ways but unlike property, its a loss right from Day 1. And ull see that many of the ppl opting for cars are actually spending above their means. Many financial experts would tell you that your car monthly installments should generally not be more than 20% of your take home salary (give and take depending on your NAV). Yet we still have many ppl (especially younger professionals) who end up spending like 40-50% of their take home salary on their car loans. And quite a number of these ppl dont even have proper medical insurance or even their own property.
And you see car manufacturers and dealers capitalising on this. Like you clearly mentioned, the Gov has a big hand to play in these pricing and for some selfish reason, the Gov seems content on increasing car prices merely to allow P1 & P2 to continue to increase profits.
Its about time the Malaysian public starts to shun over-priced cars. Its already begun in the property market. The new launches are being snapped up (mostly by unsuspecting buyers) but the investors in the subsale market are becoming more selective and refusing to pay for overpriced properties.
The power lies in the hands of the consumer and we Malaysians needs to understand that. Till then, we'll continue to see rising prices everywhere.

Over in Australia, Mazda has initiated a safety related recall program for 1,531 units of its Mazda6 to rectify a potential quality issue with the vehicle’s electrical system.
The recall will eliminate a potential fault with a component in the DC/DC convertor that is located under the front passenger seat. The DC/DC converter is part of the car’s i-ELOOP brake energy recuperation system, which uses a capacitor to power the vehicle’s electrical components.
The company says that the fault may cause overheating of the unit and in a worst case scenario, a fire may result. Rectification of the issue will see the DC/ DC convertor replaced free of charge.
The i-ELOOP system features a new 12-25V variable voltage alternator, a low-resistance electric double layer capacitor and the aforementioned DC/DC converter. Through kinectic energy from deceleration, the variable voltage alternator generates electricity at up to 25V for maximum efficiency before sending it to the Electric Double Layer Capacitor (EDLC) for storage.
The DC/DC converter then steps down the electricity from 25V to 12V before it is distributed directly to the vehicle’s electrical components. The system also charges the vehicle battery as necessary.
A total of approximately 15,000 Mazda6s globally are subject to the recall, including the Australian examples. The car was officially launched in Malaysia last week; there’s no word of the recall here.
Mazda today called me saying that the 2.5 model has an i-eloop issue asking me to send it to Shah Alam service center. It will take about 2 hour to settle.

Guys. Do u guys experience any movement / car moving even with ur handbrake on? Ive experienced it for multiple times now. Should i check for it? i feel the car moving backward when i stop at the traffic lights causing my reflex to pull the handbrake harder but when i try to pull it, the handbrake was already max and i need to push the brake foot pedal. even with my handbrake on, i put it at d gear, the car moves!
Someone "purposely" parked beside me today, so photos time.
If I do shoot the back, you all will notice how short the f30. Please look at the first photo, f30 is not in the white box, I think the owner purposely wanna parked at the same point with me. We are on the same point in front, doesn't mean the same at the back. So bad I didn't trigger my shutter in time. Despite the length, I gotta admit it, the f30 does look more masculine and more fierce. I like the side profile on M6, mean looking it from the side, more appealing.

A lot of continental cars are smaller than they look. The A4 is a large car on paper but the interior is small. The W204 Mercedes C class is the same as well.

Didnt answer my question. My question is why does an f30 looks larger like a d segment? But nevermind. Neoy already stated the f30 is shorter than the m6

Coz it's wider and lower? and the bonnet hump there also lends the illusion? Also the angle of the camera shot? LOL

As in my photo, f30's tail light only reach my fuel cap.

I might say the f30 looks like a d seg rather than a c seg to me in this picture. Or maybe, im wrong, the m6 looks like a c segment rather than a d segment. Aarghhhhhhhh. Kompius!!

So far never experience this. Seldom pull handbrake at traffic stops.

Better go and check. Mine do not have this problem, it perform like it should be.

In terms of size, mazda6 beat f30, a4 and c class anytime, although continental car wheel base is judged at d segment length, but their interior design had caused them become c seg car.

Bro, i facing the same issue. Guess I think just need to get them tighten the handbreak. Just think that the handbreak handle pull up level is too high. Shld be able to adjusted to lower.
I also got a call from Bermaz today to inform about the recall. Requested me to send in tomorrow for inspection. But will be away oversea tmr so hv set the appointment on Monday. probably doing my 1K service as well. Now already 850km!
Imagine that.

i tot u say u can corner hard in K5 and the 18-inch wheel gives it good handling? aiks....
Ive experienced rattling sound now. Damn it!! Ive found the source
Dont use glade, ok?
Ha ha ha... I also experience rattling sound at my driver door last week. Searching high n low to find the source to complaint. Lastly found the culprit - it was my smart tag which i placed it in the door hole compartment next to the speaker. When I blast my Bose speaker it vibrate the smart tag & generate rattling sound. So now place my smart tag in the center console compartment.
This has gotta be the fastest recall ever for a newly launched model eh? Gosh! Hope this is the first and last. Not the kind of thing u wanna hear for a new launch this soon especially if it involves a potential fire.

For me, it is a thumbs up for mazda, fast reaction to recall to replace the problematic part. Look at volkswagen, recall? Never happen but only in their dream.

Soon total recall will destroy VW branding
Agree, for malaysia market, they could've make the fix in the next service but surely Mazda's direction is to recall and have it rectified ASAP.
It goes to show they are really serious about protecting their brand.

I think this is the directive fr the Mazda Japan to exercise this. Good job to Mazda for treating us as customer. At least they act before thing happen to us.

All recalls are 'good' whether its Mazda or otherwise and every car manufacturer in history has probably gone through a recall. But one thing that recalls do is that it erodes confidence in the brand. For Mazda this isnt good because of the timing of the recall especially for the Malaysian market since the Mazda 6 was only launched here last week. Although the recall sounds minor but in actual fact its a major concern since it involves possibility of a fire. For the recall to happen so fast its gotta be a serious issue which warranted immediate action by Mazda.
And what do you mean no recalls for VW? Google it up.
New 2013 Honda Accord seems quite alright dont you think? I really hope Honda keeps most of the specs even when they CKD it here. If they can include all the goodies and still keep the price reasonable, it should thrash the Camry. But after seeing what they did with the CRV, i have my doubts. I guess we'll need to wait till Jul/Aug to know. But in the meatime, some info for you:
the CRV launched was a 2.0 so we dont expect much stuff inside as there is an upper variant coming later i.e. 2.4? which would get more kit. I suspect its gonna be the same for accord, just a matter of pricing.
There's a value added and luxury option for the CRV to address the bare bones problem.
I expect they will do the same for the new Accord.
Right now only continentals have a chance of denting the sales of the new Camry. But that's also hard unless more promos are thrown in. It's not going to be the Mazda 6 if they can't supply more units to their customers. So between last year till the launch of the new Accord later this year, Toyota has got a huge headstart against all its Japanese rivals.
If the new Accord launches by the 3rd quarter of this year, it's already going to be year end and Toyota can further do some variation to their Camry to keep things competitive for 2014.

The top of the line Accord should at least match the new Mazda 6 on kit I think, but at what price?
Either way, the reason you buy an Accord isn't so much for the kit but for the convenience. This is the primary selling point of the Camry as well. Reliable, reliable, reliable, accessible, accessible, accessible.
As a responsible buyer myself, I would advise to always look & analyse most car offered and not only check the purchase price, but overall car ownership cost when you're deciding to buy a car.
As for the competition in the market, Toyota & Honda have been in market for very long, and hence their brand & image is already imprinted in most people's mind while other brands will need to play catch up.
As for the car styling & interior, I can only say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
Off/Topic. How do you guys like the new Audi A3? Audi A1 starts from RM179,900 while the Audi A4 starts from RM235,000. How much do you expect to pay for the Audi A3?

It is a B or C segment? So I assume RM190K for a B/C segment sedan. I'd take A3 sportback anytime rather than the Golf GTi. But if you compare it with a mid size sedan like the M6 or any other D seg, I would say the Passat is more value for money.

hi there, i am anxiously waiting for mine to be out. SA promised to deliver by last week but having double and triple checked with SA, all the "belum" delivered ones are in the mindst of the correction process and for those delivered, upgrade will be done on next service. don't know how true. (me not expert in all this techi things).

When do you book your car? It only will delay the 2.5 model due to the ieloop problem which will lead to fire.
By the way,my SA told me the 1st shipment already finished,is this true? He said must wait for next shipment which is mid of April, I booked on 2 weeks ago, anyone book around that time?what did SA told u?

No worries. The respective owner for 2.5 has already been called as mention in the fb group page. Wow. 6.6???? Fuyoooooo. Accord sure syok dy. But not for 2.0.
I looked at the dyno charts online, the new K24W2 engine is really quite impressive and is even better than the K24Z3 (2008 model engine).
Too bad the ED technology hasn't filtered down to the 2.0L engine and 1.8L engine yet, it should also produce some good numbers when it does.
EDIT 1: Looks like those numbers might not be happening for the Accords in our region as it uses K24W4 with lower compression ratio and power output, lol!

I see. But i thought high compression ratio means lower fuel consumption.

I booked mine 3 weeks ago, SA initially promised me to deliver upon the launch date on 20/3. But now is ady 27/3. Yup, like what rcracer said, don't rush for a problematic car, better be safe. But I believe the Mazda team will do a good job as SA mentioned the Japan team are down here to rectify.
Good for u with the pedal shifter. Mine with those shift knob do feel abit lag. Around 0.5 secs.
Shifting using gear knob is different from others as highlighted before, pull down to shift gears up while push up to lower gear. Conventional system is + gear up, - gear down.
I wish the gear knob had the Mazda logo as well.

I feel that this is the right way the manual gearshifting should be, - on top and + on the bottom. it follows the flow of force felt when u are driving. another driver's car that I know uses the same concept is bmw, if im not mistaken peugeot does too.

Nope, I pretty sure Peugeot are different with Mazda, + on top and - on the bottom, but you are right upon BMW. I totally agreed with you, I find it is the better way to pull down the knob for up-shift.

It should be in the region of 200K. But it may not reach Malaysia as it would not be favoured much at that price range. The A3 is actually shorter than even the Forte when u compare overall length. The A4 was already a bit cramped inside so i would expect the A3 to be much worse especially with the centre transmission tunnel.
If u arent sure then ask. Try not to make blind statements. Being able to take corners fast doesnt mean the handling is top class. The 18 inch rims make taking corners much easier compared to my previous rides and yes in that aspect the handling is good. But handling in general refers to many other things and this is whr the K5 lacks compared to conti's and possibly the M6 as well. Trust that clarifies.
Bro, did you try the shiftronic? Some said shiftronic is faster than paddles shift. Since you have both, worth trying and share the response here.
Yes i think ure right. Ive experienced the same in my ride. But the only issue is that u gotta keep 1 hand on the gear while the paddles are easier to use.
No one in the statistic just yet, they recalled it for prevention purposes or to rectify "potential" quality issues. I wonder why people nagging about Mazda's act, they are being responsible to their consumers. Any car manufacturers' recall are good. If I can have my car's problems (or potential problems) fixed FOC, why not.

Either responsible or not, i believe no manufacturer dare to take the risk of human life. It's a big news if any Mazda 6 driver seat burning while driving due to the overheat issue. It's about life. If the issue is not directly related to human life, e.g. engine failure, gearbox issues, i doubt they will act so fast.

I personally prefer the paddles. I prefer to drive with two hands on the steering.

My statement was made based on how you contradicted yourself in the discussion of tyre pressure in the previous thread. That's all. Other battles you have with whoever and whatever threads, I'm not bothered.

I only can use my leg to press pedal. Cause I don't have paddle shift

White is extremely hard. To maintain
Lol to Fadzly and me
Tribos full coating should be under 2K. Covers paint, glass, fabric and wheels. Can be done at Mazda Sg. Besi.
Contact lucifal for better price.
Yeah, especially with the Malaysian weather these days... Everyday rain... Follow behind cars, the water mist created in front attach to our car.
Depends where you park, if always at industrial/factory area sure dusty very fast.

Paying for the coating is one thing. Maintaining it is something different altogether. If ure not prepared to spend the time and money in maintaining, i would suggest you stick to the polish and wax routine.

Yea I can maintain it, coating is important for one car, at least to protect for some time.
Good coating can make your work of maintain become easier

Polishing too often will result in the clear coat thinning. And the price for polish and wax job varies quite a bit from a few hundred to some that are over 1k.

I have contact for master of polishing, great skill. But it will thinning the paint. Decided to go coating which easier to wash and maintain its glossy

Any mechanical failure of the car have a possibility of being life threatening, really depends on the circumstances of the incident.
I think this issue of the capacitor possibly catching fire is not really that life threatening, you'll step away fom the car if you smell smoke/see fire/feel unusual heat. Nonetheless, not a situation anybody wants to be in.

Depends. I used to do my polishing and waxing at Pit Stop TTDI for my previous Vios. Since i was a member, wash, polish and wax was only RM80. They used Maguire's. But surely not the higher end product. Before that i used to do my polishing at Cars International. My Vios had really good paintwork despite being 9 years old. Never had to repaint. Not immaculate but surely very much better than most cars on the road. U only polish once a year with a wax job every 4 months or so depending on your driving conditions.
Anyway, i dont believe in overspending for polishing and coatings. This cost isnt gonna get added on to your car value in the end anwyay. As long as the car is clean and well maintained i guess its sufficient for me.
Depends. I used to do my polishing and waxing at Pit Stop TTDI for my previous Vios. Since i was a member, wash, polish and wax was only RM80. They used Maguire's. paints now are so good even home maintenance it's enough to maintain good paintwork
Guys. Anyone knows how to get this shark fin like the f30? Pretty sad with malaysian unit, no central locking, no mrcc, no spare tire. Now need to spend extra for this basic things.

I prefer not to have that. I'd rather have a boot lip spoiler.

My statement was made based on how you contradicted yourself in the discussion of tyre pressure in the previous thread. That's all. Other battles you have with whoever and whatever threads, I'm not bothered.
let it be la... i scored too many against him already its no longer funny... its like taking a candy from a baby...

Im not sure. I just hope mazda provide some option like what the americans got. They can upgrade their specs to navi. If no official words from bermaz, we need to wait till 3rd year after the warranties void.

Congrates. Hope u can sleep tonight coz u wont be able to sleep tomorrow. The date is just nice. Near the weekend where u got plenty of time to test it over the weekends. And please drive safely. Dont post a video like what i did. LOL

Lol, I don't even bother to wash my car regularly. Let alone coat or polish. LOL!
Me too. It has nvr been a habit. Until my mazda6 arrived last Saturday. Till today I've washed 3 times already. Admiring the lines while caressing the car. Dont know how long this will last.....

Women usually don't care unless they are into cars themselves. You give her a LV or Chanel handbag, they'd be happier

Need to be careful as mods on wiring will void the warranty. Heard that there's one accessory shop near federal highway is recognized and works done there will not void the warranty...

Dear All, tomorrow I m going to install my pedal lock, local brand- locktact, any advice on the reliability and quality? thanks in advance
Did u ask ur sa? Anything that can void warranty? Alot of brand actually in the market. Not quite sure each reliability. As long as they giving warranty that would be good. From v2 thread, theres one seller posted about pedal lock. Try search for it.
I saw one Aluminium silver 2.5L at esso R&R sg buloh yesterday, plate WYD 9XX. Belong to anyone here? I parked (not quite legal) near the pam angin at that time in my Red.
Anyway I am at ADK Roda Aloq Staq doing my 1st service. Already exceed the mileage by 400km. This service centre is very cosy, it bring the nostalgia of following my dad to the workshop when I was a small kid.
The journey yesterday was great in this car. So effortlessly cruising at 180km/h. The brochure does not the top speed for 2.0, but I think 205 is possible. I still think the tyre noise is a bit too high, I suspect it is overinflated.

Bro. Adk so small. Kirim salam to them. I think they know me. 1st m6 service there. LOL
Small service ctr like this is good as it is really quiet. No queue at all, altho I did book my slot though.
As I suspected the tyres are over inflated.
Did they said anything about me?? Lol. How many m6 they sold dy?? Last 3 weeks ago they said only managed to sell 2 m6. Org kedah dont like mazda la i think.

Hehe. I didnt really talk to the service guy la... In kedah maybe the presence is not really extensive. Even the showroom is so small and hidden behind the trees and has Daihatsu service at the gate.

no cable involve, shld not be any warranty issue. Went install just now, but didnt fix yet as has some need to do modification a bit. now i wait for factory to ratify for me.
Sorry. Butfor me, I felt like a bit slow in response. Maybe we should opted for fully synthetic. Need to top up some money. Or changing to ron 97
It all depends on the synthetic engine oil formulation. RON97 may help because the skyactiv engine is designed to make use of premium quality fuel. However, there are dyno charts that proves the difference between Ron95 and Ron97 is so small, it's really not worth paying that extra money.

Locktech (Thailand) comes with relay/socket? While the local Locktact doesn't?
You're a buddy of kindman? How you know?
You're right. It does have a relay socket.
There's a few people on the FB Civic facebook group that installed this. None of them actually said anything about having anything cut. Even the installers also didn't say anything about needing to cut anything.

I was asking specifically for the 2013 Mazda 6 since kindman is a M6 owner. I understand this is vastly available for many car models in the market.
And I am sure for Locktech (Thailand) it does disable the ignition if not unlocked. Not just a mere "brake lock" or as you phrase it "old school pedal lock".

You're right. I was thinking about something else until I went to look at it again.
All of them in the Civic group installed lock-tech. So if this locktact is the same thing, then it should work the same.
Actually, you want to know how it works, simply contact the shops like etoni car accessories to get your answer.
If refering to the Mazda Australia spec sheet. The temporary tyre size provided is 185/55 R16. Wonder if it's a compact or a "full size".

It surely a nice car. The body has typical Audi tight surfacing n radiusing that gives the high tension-like surface appearance. Audi interior is usually class-leading too.
Personally i prefer car of this size for commuting to work, preferably with hi-po engine. Family car is a separate one, big, spacious and can afford to be a big ugly.

For car like Lancer/Inspira, versions with full-size & space-saver tyre has different boot floor, either shallower or deeper. If we were to fit one, will the current floor still usable? The size of spare tyre does influence the boot packaging & car maker sometimes engineered multiple boot floor. It could be different for Mz6, but thats what i learned during my car designing days....

Ya, don't have spare tyre, only run flat tyre can safe my ass if anything happen. No spare tyre allow because the trunk doesn't allow to fit in. Some more the RFT is damn expensive, I rather change to normal tyre after first set fully worn.
@blu3, Actually my actual dream car for now (well, before i book Mz6) is the F30. Spesifically a black one with 19 inch black wheel and wears M Sport trim (anyway when M Sport will come to Msia?) and with Coral Red interior.
Reality somehow strikes. The most I can do now is fit a matte black 19 inchers to partially complete the dream. Hopefully I can afford F30 when the LCi comes, but then by that time the kids may not fit the rear seat anymore. Oh well, maybe it is time to upgrade job again.....

My next dream car would be the 520d. HOHOHO. But cant buy white. The rear will be a bit dirty cause by our poor diesel.

Yeah. Those diesel Bimmer. Evrytime i tailed one, they will 'sembur dakwat hitam' evrytime the driver hit the gas harder.
Well, ultimate diesel bimmer is M550xd, a tri-turbo 3.0L straight six.
Coming back to the real world, I am having hard time to pack my luggage together with several tupperware boxes. Our Mz6, despite having a long boot floor, the height is quite shallow. I guess this is the price to pay for having a sleek rear butt.
The car looks amazing on 19inch wheel. Does Mazda offer an upgrade? Last time I heard for CX-5 the warranty will void if larger wheel is fitted. Not sure abt Mz6 though....but larger rim is definitely in my to-do list, although not on immediate term.

Im not encourage 2.0 owner to upgrade to 19 inch rims. It will kacau the speedometer, fc will higher and not to forget the tire price rm1200~1400 /each. Infact i doubt it will be comfy as i already felt the 17 inch is already just on par for comfy level eventhough alot of reviews surprisingly said 19 inch is comfy.

Ok. Ive done my refill for full city driving at jb. Damn those jam. Even weekend got jam due to sure heboh at angsana. And the figure is...... ..... ..... 8.38l/100km! Or 11.9/L Or 16cent/km (ron95)
Recap on previous mileage Full highway - 6.6l/100km Combine - 7.6l/km City - 8.38l/km
Thats it folks. It beats my myvi 1.3 in terms of city driving (8.8l/100km)
Now who says i cant compare my d seg with my b seg/ a seg. LOL
I've only done 3 fuelups and so far going at 8.7L/100km for 2.5. RM0.165/km (average)

Depends on traffic conditions and where you drive also la. The 320i should come with an automatic engine stop. If I remember, you will barely notice it when the engine shuts itself off. That was the case when I tested the 320d. And it was also the case when I tested the Golf Mk7 last week. The i-stop engine restart in the Mz6 is noticeably obvious.

Yup the M6 iStop when restart very noticeable, in fact i find it irritating.

No way the F30 is any better than the M6 in term of auto start-stop function. Personally and many review tested and proved. Majority of owners might still off it when they get in to the car, ask Blue. Still remember when I tested the 320d and 328i, I get amazed negatively upon their start-stop technology, I told myself, if I get this car, I will close this every time I get into the car. No different in M6 also, off it (i-Stop) every time after fire up the engine.
The best auto start stop experience for me is Honda Insight and Honda Jazz Hybrid (never test Toyota Hybrid). Maybe due to their displacement, you can hardly notice even they restart itself.

I didn't test the F30 enough to know. But what I do remember is I didn't notice the engine shutting off until the SA told me about it on the 320d. Actually on 3 separate occasions, I also didn't notice it going off while stopped at the traffic junction.
But I do know that the Golf Mk7 implementation was also not noticed until the driver told me about it. When he tested it again to show me, I was quite impressed on the implementation.
I should test the Honda Insight and Jazz Hybrid to see if it does the same thing. Another thing also could be with the displacement as you have said, but what I was told was, it's how the engine places it cylinder that affects the start up process. This is actually interesting, I will go read up on the technical details on why some engine start up are less noticeable than the others. Hopefully can find some articles on it.

Shutting off should be smooth on every car, even in M6. But we are talking about judder during restart, not a good experience on both M6 and F30, at least for me.
As for MK7, haven't experience it myself. Never stop itself in traffic but "auto-hold" does, not bad actually, no need to pull handbrake.

No, the restart on the mk7 is very smooth, quiet and refined. Similarly when I tested the F30, the engine restart wasn't particularly obvious to me until the SA pointed it out on 2 different occasions.
It isn't a problem, rather, this is an issue of refinement. The overall impact it has on the driving experience is minimal at best.

True enough, refinement does play apart. Anyway, I don't accept this kind of technologies just yet. Wonder how much fuel you can save on this. Can this shorter the life span of engine?

Probably 1% at most? That's being optimistic.
Whether or not will shorten engine life, probably not. Your bigger concern should be carbon build up because of direct injection technology but again only think about this when your car hits 100k km milestone
actually with all this technology... its either u trust the system or u can go on being a "traditionalist"...
technology advances all the time... its up to you to choose to embrace it or not...
saving fuel or not, in market where fuel prices are floated freely, u MIGHT see some significant difference in expenses..
most of the savings usually comes from lower emission tax/insurance and again at the end of the day, question is, how much savings does it takes to make a significant difference to each individual?
I've seen a few VW Golf Mark VII on the road. Surprisingly it looks visually smaller than the previous generation despite supposedly grown physically bigger in size.

Wow so good to heard that RM0.165/km for 2.5 , any 2.0 owner can share their fuel consumption for this baby ?
My average mileage for the first 1000km was 8.8L/100km. My daily driving cycle involved 180km/h blast, jammed PLUS n NKVE and smooth sailing Elite & SKVE, totalling 170km each day.
Car is already approaching 1,900km today. I will update the new figure 2moro.
Email the SA but no reply from him, human nature. I'm still working on it
Bro. My sa said previously that the booking fee is refundable eventhough ur loan has approved. I almost cancel the booking until my sa boss promised to let me have the car before KL got their car.

Thanks Bro for the update Average Still ard RM0.16-0.17, for me im happy with this figure , city drive this car cruise easily ? waiting period really torturing
Wonder after market can installed this system or not ? so nice to have
After market systems go all sorts of system to suit every budget. Higher end systems than this also got, lower end systems than this also available. The sky is the limit!

So based on your readings for city driving, you should be able to cover about 720km on a single full tank of about 60L rite? And ull be able to drive 920km in 100% highway? That's pretty impressive for a 2.5L car. Did u get this reading from the display or the fill-measure-fill method?

2.0 bro. 2.5 around 8.8 for city and 6.8 for highway. Combine i havent got the figure. Full tank is around 62l.
Those figure above are Refills method. Average Display from trip computer not accurate. It still showing 7.0l/100km that showing an average fc for the past 3000km. It doesnt show the average for each refills. I cant reset it though.
City driving around 700++ if jam not so tight i think. If the jam packed like in KL or Penang, the milage will further drop i think.
kindman Have you installed it? What brand? How much? Share some photos please?
soory for late reply, was too busy . I didnt manage to install my lock as the lock didnt exactly can fit in my car. The Locktact ppl said needs to do a bit of modification . But they didnt manage to find a car to test it now, need a bit of time. I actually more interested to install Locktech from Thailand, but could not get it. Do u know any jalan or really it is not in the market yet?

Hi, i m a new M6 owner. Found this forum with many interesting details .
Welcome to the club bro. Hope this forum can be the platform for us to share our ownership experience.
I got an x-colleague who has just received his 2.5L version, in silver color. His is the second batch, so no recall. So the 2nd batch already arrived in Malaysia?
Anyway I browsed the japanese goonet used car website. Pity we dont have the black color option here or else this will be my pick. It is on 19inches too.

Anyone install this before ? "GPS TRACKER" can share is it worth ?
You mean a system like Connex? It's pricey but worth it if you think your car is likely to be stolen. You will almost always recover your car with this system.
I would spend that money if I was driving a BMW M6 but not if it's a Mazda 6 or similar category car.

steal for parts nobody will steal, most likely steal to commit crimes
They give me the white color. he keep telling me i'm so lucky to get the car because the next batch will only arrive after 2 month. Not sure how true is it....

Good! Enjoy your ride! I book on 15 march, still in waiting period
Thx bro... Just share something maybe can help u to get the car earlier but still depend on luck.
Try to be friend with the clear/admin, they know the car dock date/allocation more than all the SA. SA they talk only but i feel they don't have the power to give u the car but the admin know when the car is come, which candidate fail to get the loan and etc.... So, try to tackle them maybe u can get the car earlier....

Priority number 1: 2.5 headlights!!!!!!!!! Tak tahan lagi mau tukar
Asked my SA during first service. Price range should be around 1k-2k only. Their concern is the control board/chip inside the ECU, 2.5L should uses the different board, said by my SA. So if you change, it might not work properly. For example, there are one Mazda 3 (1.6L, Halogen with Projector) owner wanna change his headlight to 2.0L (with Xenon). SA did help him order from Japan. Shape and size all okay, but after fitted it, it goes haywire, it light-up even you don't switch it on. Since our 2.0L come with projector housing and manual leveling, get a proper HID/Xenon kit should be okay. Won't void warranty if it doesn't require any wire cut.

Today just ask my SA about that also,he also told me can be fit but those wiring and ECU inside the headlight of 2.5 can't be use in 2.0 cause probably those high beam control and auto levelling can't be used if u insert the 2.5 headlight to 2.0 headlight, end up he said just change bulb could do,plug and play, just my 2 cents

Ya la. I dont expect it to be fully function as a 2.5. I want the looks only.
Ok la. Dari xda terus. No need autolevelling, manual enough. No need adaptive conering. All those involved many mods to the system. For me, Enough for the drl and the halo lamps. Not quite sure others. If they can be fully fx like a 2.5 headlamps, then its a bonus for me.

Neo_Y is right. Even if you could retrofit the headlights to the 2.5 version, there's nothing you can do to fix the ECU programming because the difference between the 2.5L and 2.0L ECU is also a matter of sensors involved.
And I'm pretty sure the headlamp won't cost 1k after all the tax and trouble they take to bring it in. You'd be lucky if they charge you just RM2500 for it, and then there's a matter of putting in all the sensors and reprogramming or refitting a new headlamp ECU to ensure the AFS and AL function is working without any error. It's actually quite a lot of work.

Worst case scenario is when the wiring somehow messes up other (electrical) parts of the car. The installer/service center may/liekly tell you disclaimer that changing headlamp will void the warranty and you (the owner) has full liability. When that happens, likely you can't return the headlamp for refund and could possibly spend more money fixing/replacing other parts that became defective because of incompatibility with the headlamp installation.

When it comes to such technical replacement, I usually do not trust what SA says. I'd rather speak to the Service Manager or a senior service advisor. Sometimes SA can BS all the way and those who are not so savvy consumers, may just fall into their trap.
Requested a re-coat during first service. Car came out with great amount of swirl marks, severe swirl mark, it is like my car was trapped in million of spider webs. I'm so pissed now. Their craftsmanship of Tribos suck big time.
Swirl mark only appear under direct light sources, images can't tell you much, but it is million of it.
Anyone who do not satisfied with their Tribos, please think twice. Their so called specialist Tribos applicator are just noob and have not much knowledge upon car detailing, they de-coat my car by just whack the paint with a rotary polisher, and then re-coat with zero passion.

That's quite severe because it looks like your clearcoat has been compromised. Need's polishing work already. Service center that did this have to bear all costs and compensate you!
There's nothing wrong with the product, but the person/service center personnel who prep and apply it to your car.

Welcome bro. Once u get ur car, kindly let us know.

Fellow 2.0 owner, What do u guys think about the manual +/- override? I've tried many times and I found that the while downshift is rapid but the upshift lacks ummph. It does not give a dose of speed jump I am looking for.
Or this could be the case of small engine in big car?
Lastly, among all the owner here, maybe it is just me who has not tint the car yet. In this two weeks of ownership I still think that the car UV glass filter the heat quite well. My real reason of not tinting is afraid the fitting of the door trim might be off after they detach it for tinting. Got a bad experience with my Myvi last time.
Wat they said? Did u lodge follow up complaint to them? R they going to fix it? Damn this is bad!
Haven't lodge a proper complaint. Will do later. Haiz. I have no trust on Tribos's worker already. I won't let them touch my car again even they want to recover it.

Bro. U also use myvi like me ka. LOL
As i said earlier, the shiftronic shifting got lag around 0.5 secs. I dont use it. I just floor the gas pedal to get the acceleration.
Tinting is up to u bro. No problem if u satisfied with ur heat or uv rejction stock screen.
As far as im concern from the price specs, it stated as an optional packaging. On paper, u can actually. But not quite sure wether we can opted without tribos. For now, every mazda cars from bermaz got tribos

Never impress by its performance. It up swift real soon to preserve your FC. I did impressed by its gear ratio. All gear can be done below 1500-1800rpm (minimum). Doing 60km/h at 1200rpm and 80km/h at nearly 1800rpm.

Maybe the original paint without Tribos shines better? I guess no one knows.
Indonesian will launch their m6 april 10th by the way. So they were contradicting from what they stated last year - to be the first asean to get the new m6 SOS

The Skyactiv-G sure is definitely designed with fuel economy in mind. Keeping gears shifts at low RPM paired with an engine with a high compression ratio contributes to it.
Another news for Penang people, saw one ready stock aluminum silver Mazda 6 put at Mazda "open air place" at jalan Burma there for those who can't wait, maybe can change colour haha, good luck!
Ive no faith on vw now. Tested mk7. Wth! With that kind of price, u should bring in more specs inside the car. I rather stay with my myvi than buying those golf. Meanwhile got snap a pic with a cc back just now.

methinks you didn't test the mk7 enough to know what you're talking about. Yes, it could use a little more kit for the price, I agree. But ride, handling, comfort and refinement etc. That is way better than so many cars out there. To say that you rather stay on the myvi... wow, that really takes the cake.

last time i had considered go for passat, that time still in CBU, rm188k, but when i m test drive, i faced a problem, that is the gear change from 2nd direct to 4th, it happened many times.....swt.... but besides the DSG gearbox problem, it gud in handling n very comfort......

Some people just tend to over exaggerate. Have to compare apple to apple, orange to orange. I believe every has it's own driving characteristics and dynamics. Heck, if the Golf wasn't that common on the road... I probably would have gotten one.

No la. I just too angry with those specs. Like trying to rip off our hard earn money. This car should not be priced like that. No doubt about those handling or speed or what so ever it had, but i still dont agree with that price.

Relax relax! Don't get too angry, this is malaysia and how our people treating us.
I saw one m6 (pearl White color) last Sunday at Pusat Bandar Puchong, opposite Tesco Puchong in the afternoon , plate no WYD 8XXX. Whether belong to one of our member here?
SA told me that my car will arrive pg today but unfortunately i'm in kl and wont be able to collect it until at least this saturday...
Normally will take at least a few days to release the car cause need bank release and also Puspakom inspection. So ur baby will be perfectly ready when u r back.
my ieloop has problem after replacement, too bad. Attached is the message indicated on my meter. Luckily mazda glenmarie acted fast enough to replace another unit for me immediately after two hours. haha

LOL. Not quite sure why they want to compare with the 2.0. Afraid singaporean would not buy if 2.5 dont have the vsc.
Makes no diff, that country is small. In residential areas, there's a traffic light every 300 to 500m. The lack of safety features there is not so big of an issue IMO.
RM100k discount?? I know C200 got 20-30k discount last December but RM100k? That's huge savings even considering the facelifted model is coming. I think for C250 is good value, as even the C200 is RM260k if I am not mistaken.
I actually very disappointed on the so call Bose system. I expect it have a full range of Bose sound tuning feature thru the LCD, not just bass/treble/balance as many normal car do.
the iStop... very irritating , im wondering in a heavy traffic condition like Malaysia, will it spoil the engine??????
Well, for those that doesn't come stock. You can only opt for a decorative shark fin. Finding the same colour would be difficult and you'd need to respray to original paint.
Can find from car accessory shops. I found the following at shops near Sunway University.
dear all , does anyone of you know where can I touch up my rim, got a small scratch at the edge. Although not obvious but don't like to see that. I don't like to re-spray the whole rim. I went to a car paint workshop, he told me hard to do the touch up as it may be hv color difference, not looks original and may not up to my expectation. thanks in advance

Bro, if touch up, sure bound to see difference. Just touch up and make it less obvious. Cheaper than respraying too.

This one no need respray, carbon fiber look great. Matches with carbon fiber bodykits with matte black 19" rims. Oh yeah, and respray your roof top to glossy black (match the colour to your sunroof) too. And now, imagine the outcome.

Dude I am having a wet dream about 19" matte black rims since the day one I got my 6. I think it will go well with my soul red color. But i dont have the gut (& money) to do it just yet. Maybe nxt year.....

Just paint your original rim to matte black bro. It won't cost too much.

Loading iphone's ipod music library does take longer with USB. I got about 5.7GB of music and it loads within a min or so. The music system department is not getting much praises from the users. Especially those using USB flash drives.

Mine is quite ok thru to me, should be less than 20 sec. But one things I felt so annoying everytime start the engine, it will replay from the 1st song. Until my kids can sing the song d.
