Tested M6 2.5cc from JB to KL finding as below:

Pros:
1) Nice handling and stable at cornering
2) really attractive outlook design

Cons:
1) stupid usb player ever time u start u car it repeat the very 1 song
2) lane departure warning really annoying
3) During car stop engine off i feel like driving old car it really not practical at all
4) OMG this is D segment car how come the wind noise level so obviously when reaching above 100km it really put me down even b or c class segment car can do much more better than M6
5) The so call bose sound system just overrated and disappointed

P/s: no offense bro just my 2 cent
*
About the wind noise, we all the owner talked about this many pages/threads back. This is not a quiet car, but I've grown "lali" already. Only felt it everytime I hop in front nice quiet taxi after outstation trip.

Hehe. Lucky you manage to be with the car for so long before this problem appear. No worries we don't have a rainy days all year long.

The service ctr will dissasemble the front lower arm for this. It is 3 hours job.

Anyone feels 2.0 is under power? Test drove the 2.5, awesome car, not sure how 2.0 actually performs.

Also, can people share their 2.0 fuel consumption please?
*
It is not exactly underpower. The power is sufficient especially if u go to "power mode" i.e pressing the pedal until "click" sound for quick acceleration. Top speed I am not sure but 210km/h is achievable.

However, 2.5L should be superior.

Fuel consumption? Around 7.5L/100km. Can be lower and has been achieved by fellow member here.

Wind noise? I dont feel it anymore. But of course there is a wind whispering if you are speeding. Tyre noise sometimes can be heard too. But none are deal-breaker.

I tested my mazda6 and the new accord over the same road. Accord is slightly quieter, seat a bit firmer. Mazda6 steering has more feel but Accord steering rim is nicer to hold as it is fatter. Mazda6 suspension is firmer.

Mazda6 got driving mode to choose?
*
Nope. Thats why I put in " ". What I meant is press the pedal until "click" sound.

The red car with plastidip black wheel is actually from Malaysia.

Anyway I really dig those 20' alloy wheel ever since I found that mazda forum. But perhaps 19' with 245 section tyres is already sufficient to fill the arch.

But for me the 1st I want to change is DRL bulb coz 2.0 car comes with a non-pretty yellow bulb. The kit to change it to white LED is actually on ebay.

Do you think it is suitable for 2.0 version to wear the 19" rim from 2.5 version? Any comment?
*
Japan's Mazda6 (Mazda Atenza) 2.0 is already wearing the 19' alloy wheel. So it shouldn't be an issue. Furthermore both 17' and 19' are sharing the 225-wide tyre. The only disadvantage is only perhaps the pick-up.

On the way back yesterday, I came across Mazda transporter carrying a sole Mazda6 2.0. Upon closer look, it looks like there is a lip spoiler at the back! Refer to the photo below, or I put in my blog too.

I don't know if this is FOC, but in US it is sold as accessories for more than 100dollar! I sms my SA but got no reply yet to confirm. If it is indeed the new batch come with lip spoiler, you guys the new batch owner are very lucky indeed!

Anyway, it has been six month and 25,000km of living with my Mazda6 thumbup.gif

bro,
nice accessories.
but this light will affect our warranty right?
good news the price is quite cheap.
not sure how much it will coz when come tu mlaysia...

for me...the 1st i want to add is the fog lamp "chrome steel"...
*
According to Mazda6club forum, if there's no wire cut, meaning plug and play, it won't void the warranty. I saw a lot of Mazda CX-5 running around with white DRL where their DRL is originally like the Mazda6 2.0L which is yellow, so I guess there must be a way to do it.

anyway, our warranty is only until 60,000km only right? or is the free service but the warranty still goes on until 100,000km. Funny I don't exactly know my own car warranty (my peroduas before this all goes until 100k km warranty).

I heard the Run Flat tyre for 19" is around RM2k each...  is that right? Since M6 does not have spare tyre..
*
My SA told me it is RM2k too. But from the photos he gave me it is not full size, but the space saver type. RM2K however include the new boot floor housing ( dunno what is it called, it is the black structure holding our pumps and repair kit currently) because the current one wont enable the storing of tyre.

Can't really see the size i think. But said it is space saver because the word "temporary use only" can be seen clearly. SA said ori from Japan.

But at RM2k....I think it is quite steep.....

Some times back, I heard from a fren that Toyo tyres does not last long. It is quiet and grippy but wear out quicker.

Now I think it is true. My Mazda6 is now 32k km already and tyres beginning to look not too well. They are evenly worn, but wear out nevertheless. My past cars usually can last 50-60k km on each tyre set.

Guys what is your interpretation on warranty for our car? Although free service is only for 60k km, warranty is until 100,000km right?

Our Mazda6 is incredibly aerodynamics, with drag coefficient of merely 0.26. This is one of the factors that contribute to the great fuel saving. One means of achieving this is the fully covered underbody.

This though has a disadvantage. The fairing is plastic. I sometimes bottomed it, or hit an unknown debris on the road and this was what happen sometimes back. The debris has hit the mounting and broke the panel, leaving it hanging.
user posted image
I fixed this using bigger washer beneath the bolt you see. I don't think I want to replace the complete fairing panel on that piece. It was fine for a few month. Recently, during this heavy rain season, I hit a biiiiig water puddle and suddenly there's a loud sound coming from underneath the car and gets louder as I drive as if I am dragging something.

I stopped the car and have a look, the entire piece that the was broken earlier has been torn off its washer fixing and been hit the road (due to the water force) and bended to the road. I unknowingly dragged it further, and this ripped another mounting or two.

I fixed it the next day using another bigger washer and replaced the nut where applicable. But it may happen again as the broken part is still not fixed and temporarily hold using washer and nut.

Lesson learnt is, go to Mazda and seek their proper advice.
