Blu3,
How does 320i sounds like from outside? I kind of conclude that the gasoline direct injection engine sounds a bit un-petrol like.

When I took delivery of the car on 23 March I said I will write a review about it in my blog. It took ages as the site has been inactive ( I stop blogging on the day I booked my Mazda6). But here it is, the summary of my feeling about Mazda6 2.0 accumulated for almost a month and 5000km.

http://www.malaysia-motoring-news.com/2013...ve-out.html?m=0

In essence - stylish, spacious cabin, uninspiring dashboard, good pliant ride, good handling, so-so noise suppresion, small boot, relaxed cruiser and addictive to drive.

QUOTE(Higgsboson @ Apr 18 2013, 03:21 PM)
Actually i very disappointed on this, because.. another main reason for me to top up additional 30k is the Bose sound system (im a typical audiophile). And i very enjoy listening to those classical, more quiet music. Now... the wind noise... ruin my entire mood.... cry.gif I cant just drive 100km/h on highway right?
*
I know the windnoise issue is disspointing. I expect the executive D segment must be really quiet inside.

But when I am on the run, chasing car after car on the road, the noise issue will be forgotten. It only become very obvious when you are just chilling on the ride and having a conversation. The standard non-Bose audio is good enough for me as the sound is rich enough to play my old school song (including 1992 rap).

The factory-set tyre pressure will accentuate this further. After adjustment to the right pressure it is quieter. But the windnoise, for me it is still forgivable.

Both of u bila mau join fb page?

I am accumulating the courage to open fb account.

Anyway nowadays I start seeing Mazda6 on daily basis. Every workdays morning I see the white 2.5 on NKVE from Shah Alam heading towards Subang, shining me its white LED DRL which makes me jealous everyday.

Otw back this week there's always the Soul Red wagon, NCU XXX coming out from Kwsn Institusi Bangi, then always there will be a meteor gray queing on SKVE near Hosp Serdang, opposite my way.

If any of u guys are here, high beam me la next time.

Good to c more and more Mazda6 around.

Hv a nice wkend everyone.

One minor flaw I forgot to mention is the front sliding arm rest. It is not lockable in position right?

One more thing I've just noticed, and I think fadzly already highlighted, some chrome bits is not sturdy. My rear chrome bar left side is not that tight.

Final results. Although it is not totally swirl-free, at least it is being reduced dramatically over 70%. I'm satisfied this time.  smile.gif

Note to those SOUL RED owners. No touch-up paint currently, drive carefully to avoid stone chips.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Nice. Glad to hear your problem has been solved.

Heh..how to avoid stone chip? This thing happened in a blink of an eye. I was on my way back on NKVE hiway today, waiting to change lane behind a trailer, and then bang....a stone dropped by that lorry hit my hood and windscreen. It left its mark. Combined with the parking ding I got in JB last two weeks, enough to make me cry in my heart cry.gif . My 6 is not even a month yet.

Just want to ask, the Glenmarie svc ctr, is it behind the current showroom or is it at the old showroom (where we picked the car)? Am thinking abt doing my 10k svc there.

Just found out this morning after heavy rain last night.  Both tail lamp has wawater goes inside at the edge of the lamp. Anyone of you got this problem?[attachmentid=3428305][attachmentid=3428307]
*
Mine is the same. But I think the water just stays there at the edge coz the rubber seal in further inside. It will be gone after the water dries. No aquarium lamp problem here i think.

I got another issue with my car. Happen only after rain. Will update u guy after complain and check at SC.

Quite frequent now i heard a sudden knock sound like an unknown object hit the ?side, ?bottom, ?front and when i turn see the mirror, theres nothing ive hit. The sound sooo loud that i always stop on the roadside to see any damage to the car. Do u guys feel it??
*
Fadzly & eng98,

My problem is just like what u guys described!
The sound alike of hitting the debris is quite loud. But I think it could well be the tiny debris, hit the underfloor fairing that we have covered the bottom of our car which will sound louder than the asphalt-insulated normal floor.

But the front suspension goes "nyet nyet" after the rain is annoying. I thought I am alone but turns out you guys got it too.

I am already doing 9k km now so I will highlight this during my 10k service.

me too have this problem when it is raining.  It looks like it is a defect for our car.  Hv to check with SC

Seems like its a common prob as more of us getting this. I tried looking in other forum none of the owner mentioned about suspension sound. They only mentioned some "kluck" sound in front of front passenger and " gluk gluk" sound during cornering.

I am approacing my scheduled service soon (slow pulak naik mileage lately). I will highlight n share with u guys.

There's more and more Mazda6 around nowadays. I came across the Wagon version earlier this week, and it look stunning and kind of low-slung SUV look. I think a pumped up wheelarch and larger tyre will make it look more stunning.

For the first time , I also came across the new Mazda6 in my neighbourhood!

Does these cars belong to any forummer here?

I think this is good phenomena. More car means the accessories market will open up and the kaki-modified car owner will start do the mod that I can copy!

I called Mazda Glenmarie Service Ctr yesterday to try to book an appointment. I got shocked becoz they are fully book till end of nxt week!

As I am going back to my hometown this week, it seems that I will service at ADK Roda once again in A. Star. I hope they can comment on the suspension sound altho the SC is unbelievably small!
