yes no need to take this seriously yet.
i just let it out here for discussion.
the game didnt even had a full public test yet.

since the view of pay to win is different from people to people there is no need to go apeshit yet.
just like hfi mentioned how his guildmate spend a little more just to catch up with others so no harm done.
this is no different from how EXP boost work in free to play games. people who able and want to catch up with others use it. apparently this is view as pay to win from some people perspective.

Dude take a chill pill or something 1st. No need to make a bigger misunderstanding about this.
Read my earlier comment. I only said that this game might become pay to win on top of pay to play. It still may or may not.

Yes in WoW people sell time card for ingame gold. But just like gold sellers this is not directly related to the game design. I never consider these as pay to win from any games because it is a ban-able offense. If you dont like them making profit ingame or real life you can just report them to stop. What im talking about is something that completely legal to do.

What MAY become a pay to win is when CREDD being sold by a player to gain easy gold (heap and bound against others) to get top equipments/upgrades and help them to gain advantages ingame.
I dont know in which community you usually lurking in because it can cause different perspective in our view of pay to win definition. But majority of people that i know of view anything that can give advantages with extra money are pay to win.

This is how i make sense of what im thinking/theory crafting because in the end this is what forum/discussion is for, 'theory crafting'.
What make sense to a person doesnt mean it make sense to others as well.
Just like a christian telling a muslim to make sense of trinity concept. Both have their own way of sense.
So telling others that they're not making sense is in itself didnt made any sense. tongue.gif

I am chilling smile.gif . The one that need to chillax is you, because you are overacting .

I am just saying the example you are talking about ( trading for gold for virtual game time / property ) exists in every single game, officially and unofficially . Even diablo 3 are having a R.M.A.H
There is no way a Game could eliminate every trading that involves real life money . Back then Blizzard introduced "Bind on pickup " items to prevent people from trading stuff, eventually the players would just be selling an entire account instead.

People who are rich in real life will always again a huge advantage in virtual world via rl money .
Wildstar must have considered the possibility of this , so they have CREDD that allows you to trade game time with money , at least it is safer than most under table trading.

If it goes according to you , every game could be pay2win . How could you use them as an argument ?
Your argument holds no water thats what I am saying . ( again , this is not meant to be an offense to you personally )

And this is no theorycrafting , because it wasn't a theory when others have pointed out the loop holes .

Now i see that you can finally get the gist of what im saying.
YES my discussion hold no water and so does all others because it didnt happen yet.
from the look of it you see me as a person that state that this game is pay to win.
but rest assure im not (at least yet at this time). I'm just throwing all the arguments that might surface later on for discussion only.
that why i said this game 'might be' but not 'already'.
im here just as an advocate.

as i said earlier, pay to win definition is already differ from a person to another.
i believe that pay-to-win element exist in all games.
but someone might not see it when they adore the game.
even i blinded from pay to win elements in my favorite game ( in planetside2 all guns can be unlock by using real money icon_idea.gif )

What pay2win issues? There's no pay2win in this game, it will be like other tier progression MMO's out there like Wow/Swtor(you get best gear from doing raids/arena/warplots) etc etc.

Oh and Wildstar Wednesday!

the business model is similar with EVE online. i dont see how it is pay to win model. it is just simply exchanging your real money for ingame cash by selling game time to other players. it is proven to be a win win situation for players and devs alike.

it will be "play in order to play" model for those not paying the monthly sub with real dollars.

which kinda sucks also.

i.e. you gotta keep on playing in order to be able to keep on playing.

bad business model for casual players.

No one from SEA that i know, gotten their closed beta invites yet, so i don't how high the latency are.

And btw, the next re-reveal of classes from last week is the Epser. Burst dps'er class and strong single target type of healer.
Uses mental/illusionist type of attack.

Given the action of the game, precision timing is needed. Any type of latency would be a huge turn off....
