what with the introduction promo like TF2 style?
is there any connection between this game with valve or john cook?

seeing that it from NCsoft the payment model will be either pay-to-play or buy-to-play.
or maybe NCsoft want to try new strategy by going straight to free-to-play. |

hope that NCsoft wont be greedy and launch this as P2P as Blade&Soul give them more return of investment than GuildWar2.
they should think of making this their 2nd B2P franchise. but if they manage to release contents as fast as Blade&Soul then it okay for me. |

just like how TERA used to be before they change it to free to play.
they should just made it pure pay to play like WoW if they really want subscription based business model. like this not only it will be pay to play but might also be pay to win. |

QUOTE(Convael @ Aug 20 2013, 06:23 PM) You sure WoW isn't p2win nowadays ? lol dunno bout WoW nowadays. Last i play WoW was the burning crusade. Never even had a chance to play lich king expn. That was my last 2nd and last pay to play i played (1st is RO). Good old day when playing game sponsored by MARA (pls do not follow me What i meant that it should be like that vanilla WoW. Saying that other games also pay to win doesnt help change the fact that the game is pay to win. |

QUOTE(Convael @ Aug 21 2013, 02:16 AM) No I specifically pin-point that out , because you were saying this is PAY-2-WIN . Dude take a chill pill or something 1st. No need to make a bigger misunderstanding about this. And when I read the page , they are completely irrelevant to what you were talking about . Read the whole F.A.Q again , they basically are going introduce 2 mode , Pay-2-play & Play-2-pay. For players who could not afford to pay , they just have to play in the game long enough to earn their first bucket of gold to get CREDD. How did this transform into your whole PAY2WIN theory ? When we are talking about PAY2WIN , the open public generally are referring to those facebook games , in which purchasing with real life cash give you a HUGE advantages and leap ahead of the others. And in this case , the only thing you gotten by playing long enough is 30 days worth of subscription . And Vanilla wow doesn't has such ? I was seeing people trading gold for subscription cards , Wildstar just make it so they are officially supporting this ( with less risk of scamming cases ) . Therefore how that actually got linked up with your P2W is completely out of my idea . The fact that you brought WOW up and thus referring it as " another game " just doesn't do it for me . Every mmo in the market, with will at least study and aim to be as successful because it was the pioneer of MMORPG. You were just not making sense, thats what I am saying. Read my earlier comment. I only said that this game might become pay to win on top of pay to play. It still may or may not. Yes in WoW people sell time card for ingame gold. But just like gold sellers this is not directly related to the game design. I never consider these as pay to win from any games because it is a ban-able offense. If you dont like them making profit ingame or real life you can just report them to stop. What im talking about is something that completely legal to do. What MAY become a pay to win is when CREDD being sold by a player to gain easy gold (heap and bound against others) to get top equipments/upgrades and help them to gain advantages ingame. I dont know in which community you usually lurking in because it can cause different perspective in our view of pay to win definition. But majority of people that i know of view anything that can give advantages with extra money are pay to win. This is how i make sense of what im thinking/theory crafting because in the end this is what forum/discussion is for, 'theory crafting'. What make sense to a person doesnt mean it make sense to others as well. Just like a christian telling a muslim to make sense of trinity concept. Both have their own way of sense. So telling others that they're not making sense is in itself didnt made any sense. |

yes no need to take this seriously yet.
i just let it out here for discussion. the game didnt even had a full public test yet. since the view of pay to win is different from people to people there is no need to go apeshit yet. just like hfi mentioned how his guildmate spend a little more just to catch up with others so no harm done. this is no different from how EXP boost work in free to play games. people who able and want to catch up with others use it. apparently this is view as pay to win from some people perspective. |

QUOTE(Convael @ Aug 22 2013, 04:08 PM) And this is no theorycrafting , because it wasn't a theory when others have pointed out the loop holes . YES my discussion hold no water and so does all others because it didnt happen yet. from the look of it you see me as a person that state that this game is pay to win. but rest assure im not (at least yet at this time). I'm just throwing all the arguments that might surface later on for discussion only. that why i said this game 'might be' but not 'already'. im here just as an advocate. as i said earlier, pay to win definition is already differ from a person to another. i believe that pay-to-win element exist in all games. but someone might not see it when they adore the game. even i blinded from pay to win elements in my favorite game ( in planetside2 all guns can be unlock by using real money |

QUOTE(sundaemanis @ Nov 30 2013, 07:03 PM) the game not even released yet.dunno how it gonna be nice or not. the hype for this game died a little bit more after DQ Next announced. maybe that's a good thing to happen so that ppl wont feel too disappointed of the hype after they tried this game. now i'm occupied with Blade&SoulCN and Planetside2. so i dont mind the waiting for this game. |
