Im waiting for my gf to get to high rank so i have some free time. I want to look into using a HBG. I have read what juwels posted and it is a lot to take in.
Anyone can give some simple advise? What armor set to focus on, weapon and skills?

Choose low recoil over precision.
Guns that deviate to one side are perfectly usable. Those that swing both ways susah.
Precision is a lot easier to gem in than recoil and reload speed when it comes to armor.
Don't be afraid to remove the limiter.

Shoot, shoot roll. Don't get hit.

Load up gives u one extra shot.

Tried the HBG a few times but cant seem to get it. Guess i have to practice more. Planning to use it on Caedeus since he is a pain to hit with melee.

using a Longsword with decent sharpness (blue and above) with Focus skill should be able to complete quite quickly. if u hv it use extra advantage elemental LS.

just observed the head and body swinging pattern more if u like to hit the head/beard/horn area. otherwise just hit whichever part till ur LS glow yellow/pink. kill it bfor u know it *hehe*

This is not true though. It is half true though.
It is Nintendo only exclusive until the end of this year.

Level 5 urgent quest?
Challenged 6~7 time only manage to repel it.
Using GS with Lagiarus armor and 10 of the bullet traded from the captain.
Keep shooting em with the bullet and collect more to shoot. Than only melee with em.

HE seems to follow me really close so unable to get good shots with the gun thing. Time slowly runs out.....slowly but surely...

would definitely love a new gen Mh game...(meant the graphics) gameplay is UNBEATABLE...fluid and fun as always!

anyway u can point blank shot also
dont forget to add Evade range+ (or whatever it's called in MH3U), if u do the point blank shot
also consider monster type and size, depending on monster u might want pierce shot over normal.

i was using gunlance and fight with him ... managed to repel him in 1 try but my time left 3 mins lulz
