learn about the monsters...learn about the environment..
You can't simply go in & mash your buttons....timing and precision are required...and PATIENCE..
coz you need to farm... Since you're just starting...best beginner armor would be Jaggi...
level it up to the max...

armor sphere+ for high rank armor?

cannot really remember, but i think YES...just keep farming and upgrade ur farm...

then you can move on to Lagi armor or Rathian...but be prepared to farm them a lot...had to kill/capture Lagi 15 times to make his full set armor & great sword

You definitely need to upgrade your armor in high rank or G rank. Low rank are fine without upgrading though.

There are more armor sphere for high rank armors. Hard Armor Sphere, Heavy Armor Sphere and also the hardest one to get Tru Armor Sphere

any advise to hunt gobul? stuck at the urgent quest. spent hours trying to kill it

Fish him out of area 4 using a frog as bait at the fishing spot.
Gobul is weak against Fire if I remember correctly, there might be another weakness, I think it's lightning.

about 30mins with slight chap-mak giggi based armour. Will see if can get Focus or Partbreaker into it to speed it up!

i know that the weapon dmg stated is not the same as we hit...coz LS eventhough lower somehow hits harder than switch axe ...well to my experience >.<...

I was trying to kill duramboros by using bowgun + barrel bombs but it just dont die lol.. so perhaps bow with lower dmg like arko nulo R- fire attribute should do more dmg?

I'm planning to buy a Wii U for MH3U, is the basic set with 3gb free hdd space enough for this game?

If you are thinking of downloading things digital it's probably not enough. If you are buying the disk then it is enough.

There is an easy solution though, you could plug in your External Hard Drive for extra storage.
Yes Nintendo allows you to use your external hard drive to get more storage.

Cloudy where are you how come Lucy never drop it for me .... YK congratz ... i did it with SA about 30 min also ...

for bow - make sure you charge your shots to the max before you shoot. pierce shots work well with him. when the arrows begin to dip down, damage becomes lesser and lesser so make sure your distance is correct (try to hit him before arrows arc down)

for bowgun - don't shoot from too far. the ideal distance is about 2 - 3 rolls away. shoot pierce, or bring a fire gun.

low rank just stick with leather armor, high rank get jaggi armor. G rank then start farming properly
i started bowing only in G Rank, not sure what's good as beginner bow

I wanna make a bow too... But the requirement for a different armor is killing me
So lazy to farm some armor.. Any G Rank armor to recommend to get started with.

volvidon is a good starter armor for G Rank. narga is good as all purpose gunning/bowing armor.
