here's a titanium phone for you i only tried the alu version and it is quite heavy, besides the sound quality sounds very poor compared to the ksc75

either one is good, i think ksc35 should be more balanced sounding whether it's worth the extra over the ksc75 or not is up to you to decide.

If you are using only KSC75, this might cost alot to you, but this is one heck of an amplifier packed into a small casing

wow wtf? just get some panty hose instead...those threads are going to act like guitar strings and resonate with the driver...it's gonna sound like the threads!!! (however they sound )

Your soldering iron is probably too hot and the whole soldering point got pulled out with the solder.

Not surprising, I've also been told by a friend that the RA-1 sounds better than headamp GS-X in some ocassions. Some phones do sound better on some simpler amps, I personally never liked ANY grados on PPA (the expansive soundstage and detail coupled with grado's narrow soundstage just makes it sound very, very, wierd), they sound better directly out of an ipod, even better on a pimeta with hard hitting opamps.
