u can hand in to check either it's cable problem or voice coil problem.
i can directly measure it to confirm the problem. if cable problem, then sure can be fix. if voice coil then no point fixing it.

actually yes. but u have to provide postage to US, and back from US.
which is quite expensive also as it is calculated in USD.

it is fun to enjoy the process of burn in.

I just got back from Bangi, picked up my Koss at PosLaju there.
After I received the Koss, I did not went home right away. Instead I spent about 20 minutes in car with engine running testing the Koss.
I was expecting it'll quite uncomfortable to wear, but after I put it on I realized my was wrong completely. This earclip is extremely comfortable. Much more comfort than my current IEM Philips SHE8500
The first thing that this Koss impress me is its clarity. I can hear more instruments now. The bass is less than the IEM, but I expect it will improve after several days of burning.
I'm listening to it right now, its comfortable and enjoyable smile.gif
Thanks jiaxun

on my koss. so far, the more burn in. the more detail and smoothness come out.
mine already burned in for more than 1800 hours. and seriously new ksc75 can't fight at all. all person tested mine set vS new recabled ksc75 can immediately tell the big different within the first 10 second they put the headphone on their ear.

QUOTE(jiaxun @ Oct 31 2008, 12:31 PM)
eh, didn't ask them to deliver again?

Yup, background instrument can be heard clearly. After burn in, the sound will be soften, where the bass become muddy(deep and low).
You will love it  cool.gif
*
that indicate that the diapharm of the ksc75 is fully loosen up. and during this time. if you amp it. u will get serious improvement in the sound quality.

Wow, that is more than 2 months of burning. What's your favourite burning source PcWork? White noise, pink noise, or just normal listening?
*
i use for normal listening only. and gaming/movie also last time. now no more. just pure music.
that is the first batch ksc75 ordered by alamaklor from USA. i think 2 years ago. use until now. really huge different compare to new one. even my housemate has one ksc75 she use everyday for almost 1 year already. still cannot fight mine. both were recabled.

postlaju so far ok.
but i have several times have problem with post express.
that the postman just leave the post express outside my door. or sometime down stairs that there's plastic mail box that didn't lock. they just leave it there.

so far. things gone missing three times already
1. War of the world DVD original.
2. 2 keychain gunting.
3. yeahguy's sennheiser mx500. which just happen last two day. what i can see is only an empty post express envelope that had been tear opened. really angry for that. what to do..

so it's best to post with postlaju or other courier.
so far postlaju never have problem. even though the item was left in the post laju center for a long time due to i am outstation.

I'll try to do that in later future when its badly scratched already. Black paint to cover the scratches biggrin.gif
*
becareful not to spray the paint inside the holes. the casing itself is the spider for the driver.

so if u drop some paint into the holes of the casing, it will directly stick on the membrane. hence might influence the sound as the membrane might not vibrate in straight line anymore as increase in weight on some part of the membrane. and the paint that harden will reduce the flexiblity of the membrane itself too.

Actually I've been wondering, is this headphone THAT good?
Or it's just an exceptional great deal for it's value?

Been this reading this thread for quite a while, kinda tempted to get a pair. Heh.

OT:-
I used to had an Overhead-band Headphone from Audio Technica, ATH-FC7, Love it's sleek design, doesn't makes me looks like a retard while wearing it for a walk/shopping. Too bad, kinda broke it accidentally and can't seems to find anyone who sell it now. Currently using Sony HPM-85, not as good as FC-7, too it doesn't make me looks like a retard -.-

IME is of course preferred using outdoor as it's low profile, but yeah, IME kinda separate you from the world, so it's not safe.
*
well. there's plenty of ppl who own high end headphone here still fall in love with ksc75. not to say their quality better than high end headphone. but for me. it is acceptable. and not to mention it's price.
by the way. the best is , still try it out urself. if u don't like it. sell it. there's plenty of ppl will grab it in no time.
even people give you answer that it is THAT good (as mentioned all the way in this club,) i don't think u will still believe it. so what is the point of asking that question?

QUOTE(snorlax @ Apr 29 2009, 05:11 PM)
My KSC75 was having a problem with an irritating buzz in the left phone, so i was considering bugging jiaxun about warranty returns. It's been buzzy for a a few months I think, and it was really getting on my nerves.

Well, today i got really irritated, and did a google search to see how frequent a problem it is. Got like 2-3 hits on the first page for "KSC75 buzzing". Okay, this sounds like a model problem here... I dug a bit deeper, and around page 3 of the results, I noticed a forum post;

"When Koss phones buzz it's nearly always because one of your hairs is pressing against the driver - take the covers off and take a look." I pulled off the cover, and yes, there WAS a frigging hair in there! Got the hair out, and voila, it's back to normal!

So guys, keep that in mind if your KSC75s start buzzing. biggrin.gif

hehe tried that oso.. at my first pair of ksc75

*
infact. that day u fellow came. there's somethings wrong with my system.
i think my room acoustic went wrong. bass is gone. yesterday nicholas came. and we did experiment of moving out the speaker out from my room and blast it from my living room. and the sound is all right. but when i shift it again in my room. no more bass as u guys hear.
i will settle it out. and will call the person who came that day come and try again.
cannot hear lah the sound like that. sound stage, mid , treble is ok. but the bass is seriously missing.

I been listening to KSC-75 PcWork mod since last evening (I receive t3h stuff at that moment as well) and hell I'm been having fun with it since then.I begin comparing different cans starting with philips shp2700,ath-t22 and philips shp805 but unfortunely those three cans can't beat the small champ.Ok well when I start comparing PcWork's recabled grado sr60 with it I found that KSC-75 just meet his worthy rival for the SQ match cool2.gif

It sound beautifully with any Enya songs. The vocals are somehow "cleaner" then grado SR60 since SR60 will sound abit muddy if there's too many sounds involve on one part of the song.I can't find any similar prob with KSC-75 though.Cheers! rclxms.gif

Well for the rest like soundstage and bass, they're pretty much the same although the bass on KSC-75 is abit small compared to sr60 but most probably you won't notice it much unless you concentrate to the song more.

See the price for both cans

Grado SR60 + custom cable = somewhere around Rm400

KSC-75 PcWork Mod = Rm110 (brought second hand from TeOtq)

See how much can you save with KSC-75?Totaly worth it for the price given I'd say icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway this only applied if you use an amp which in this case I use pa2v2 amp for both headphones.Without it KSC-75 will sound abit bright so get an amp if have a chance. thumbup.gif
*
about the muddy part of sr60. a proper amp could resolved that.
then it will really turn in to big brother of ksc75. everythings similar. but sounds bigger.

It's that good eh?

I wonder how it'll compare to MS-1?
*
MS 1 after recable is exactly like big brother of ksc75. same sound signature. but everythings tend to be more control. sounds bigger. and more accurate.
but price wise is very much different lah.

Recently, I bought a PCWork Recabled Koss KSC75 with Canare F12 Mini Jack from Akabane@DrJackel and also new Stereophone Cushion from jiaxun.

I would say, that baby is very listenable to me!
It has a better clarity, audible clearer vocal and the bass is real. The guitar and piano playing become more real. The separation between background instruments is audible.

It make me want to listen more and more. =)
*
that ksc75 is slightly perform better than usual ksc75 recable i do. due to the better plug it uses.
i am changing my personal ksc75 plug into f-12 oso. lol.
