Still looking around and collecting money for a decent powerbank~
=) I tend to use wifi and 3g a lot, thus my battery drains so fast~
*
May I suggest you look for the forumer brotan who has a sales thread site here:

http://www.vendio.com/stores/brotan

He has supplied a few guys at the Note 2 thread and others as well, and he has invested some effort into researching accurate power output for power banks and chargers. He is also an authorised reseller for Yoobao powerbanks with 1 year full local warranty.

and now i have downloaded baterystat from xda forum, mind you teach me how to put .apk file? plug in usb cable and copy like that? after installed, can we delete the files from the folder again? or just uninstall it and the file will be gone?

i notice my mediaserver consume avg power, maybe it comes from sd card
*
Man you really did this extended observation? notworthy.gif

To put an apk to your phone, you firstly need to enable:Settings>Security>Unknown sources under the Device administration heading. This allows installation from non Play Store apks.

1. Download APK via your phone's browser. It will automatically give you some options on how to deal with it. Choose the option for "Installer" or something.
2. Download APK to your PC or other device and transfer via cable or bluetooth or one of those Airdroid type apps. Go to the directory where you downloaded the APK on the phone and click it to install.

Thanks, i will use method 2 on tomorrow morning.

but the file can be deleted in when i transfer via cable to phone after installation?

method 2 - i need to create folder or there is a specify folder for me to put .apk files?
*
Yes you may delete the file from your PC after transfer. If you transfer via cable, you will see your MTP device and you can view the folders on your phone. Put it somewhere meaningful.

If you transfer via bluetooth, go to the Bluetooth directory using your file manager.

hm.. when i plug usb to my phone i cant see .pps file

when i go to "my files" and view my phone... there is a ".pps" folder...

is it safe to remove .pps folder?
*
This is perhaps used by the PPS app to download videos. There are all kinds of folders that apps create, so I can't tell whether it's safe to remove or not. You have to spend some time getting familiar with your device's folder structure then you can guess whether it's safe or not.

You can try SDMaid to help you find orphan folders. And use a REAL file explorer like Ghost Commander.

Stock is fast. Stopped using dolphin after they did some update about 2 months ago. Now I use stock for speed and opera for pc-like operations.

will my phone auto search for jb update everytime i on my wifi?

or i have manually to search for update by tap "software update?"
*
For tagging, use :

CODE

[ @ name ] <=no spaces. Spaced for illustration

If you are not rooted, the phone should start its own update checks whenever it detects a network connection. Unless you froze the service. It's called Samsung Update or SNS or something like that.

your note 2 got this kind of problem difficulties to take sim card out from the slot of the phone?
*
Haven't taken my sim out since inserting it. You can try PUSHING it in until u feel something like a click then it should eject. This is known as a push-push mechanism. Same goes for yr sdcard.

it didnt work..  sad.gif

It is probably due to some settings in the ROM for this region where it is legal requirement that cameras cannot be muted whistling.gif

You could root it and rename the .ogg files for the camera sounds or switch to a ROM that allows muting, OR use some Camera app that has the mute function. I'm told that Camera 360 has this function, but I personally do not like the app.

joytest master, which brand of micro sd card is the most suitable for s3 mini ? ( Maybe I need a 8gb one )
*
Uh, please don't call me "master" or "sifu" as I'm not one. tongue.gif

I can suggest you use Kingston or Sandisk, but Sandisk has admitted they have some cards which are bad.

Get a class 10 card.

But, among all of us here, YOU are our master/sifu.

Btw, what is 'GET A CLASS 10 CARD' ?
*
Class refers to the write speed of the card. SDcards are up to Class 10, then they switched to UHS numbering which I'm not yet familiar with.

i think BBS better, can check what wakelock and partial wakelock and how many counts. I paid USD2.50 for it maybe u can get it at playstore too and make improvement of ur batt juice.

waze consume batt i uninstalled it

i off all autosync as i dont need it

i off location services

i disable maps/google+

u need to explore urself which app is consuming power

i also do batt calibration ,
- leave ur phone discharge till 0% completely
- allow it to auto off
- charge ur phone to 100%

from here u may monitor it what apps is eating ur batt
*
Waze, if you didn't turn it on, doesn't consume any battery ... hmm.gif It exits properly and is a well behaved app. All GPS apps suck battery massively when they are used, so you should get a good quality car charger and a good quality cable. Unfortunately due to the length, there is current loss thru resistance, but I'm not going to buy a "Monster" type USB cable for a ripoff price.

My solution to this is to stick a powebank just behind the steering wheel and charge my phone from that for long trips.

*
Look for brotan in Garage Sales. He is an authorized dealer for Yoobao and provides 1 year full local warranty. Choose any size that fits your budget and preference but the get the largest that you are comfortable with.

I have a Yoobao 11200 and a 13000. They are both about the size of a filled men's wallet, or slightly smaller than a 3.5" HDD.

is this good since it has higher capacity or i just go for 13000
*
I don't know, but brotan has conducted his own testing to verify that the products he carries are reputable. A number of people in the Note 2 thread got stuff from him, including myself. We use the GCC app to test and confirm that output current is as advertised. However the GCC app only works for the S3 and Note 2. My Yoobao 11200 and 13000 do give consistent 1300-1800 for the 2A port depending on cable.

Some products may not work as advertised, but I haven't tested the item in your link.

UPDATE: Anything larger than 13000mAh, IMHO, should come under those universal power banks that can charge Notebooks as well.

Heheh very good. When I first saw the Sony "Stamina" mode, the first thing that came to mind was "WTF...this looks just like Airplane mode".

So now all you need is SOT around 5hrs+. But seriously I don't know why people can't be bothered to charge their phones nightly before they go to sleep. It's just like brushing teeth.....

Just bought a YAO BAO battery bank from eBay.

20000mAH, black colour. Fit to all phone, even though my mom's old phone also support.

Quite good, recommend u guys to buy !
*
Why don't you let someone with an S3 or Note 2 try it and use the GCC app to report its TRUE output? Be sure to use several cables to try.
