samsung apps and s suggest canbe, samsung cloud data relay  safely removed? its useless right?
*
Samsung apps allow you to access the Samsung version of the Play store, with some apps being free or sponsored vs the ones you need to pay for in Google's play store.

Cloud data relay I'm not sure, please check this:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key...OUE&pli=1#gid=0

This is in my post 6 under Removing unwanted apps.

using titanium?

when i click applications manager, i can see all process using ram. do u have article to read what is "cached background process" and how can we stop it? or its not recommend to stop it? thanks
*
As per discussion earlier today, you do not need to bother about memory management for Android. You do not mess around with cache algorithms unless you know what you are doing. Of course if you really feel you have to kill some app then go ahead and kill it.

I don't have any such articles. Uncle Google can help.

Just make sure that you don't click on the ads and go to their website , and you are safe.

If u want saver , download the anti-ads app to clear them all.
*
Nope. If you have to think you are safe because you didn't click on the ad, then something is fishy with the app already... hmm.gif

Hmm pondering why last night batt drop so fast? battery temperature always 29-35 degree celcius max,

is it below 50% battery will drop fast? or need calibrate using batter calibrate apps?
*
Usually battery drain is caused by app behaviour. They are waking your phone up. Install BetterBatteryStats from XDA and see what % of CPU time is spent at each MHz level, and also to see your wakelocks.

Read up on wakelocks, or come over to N2 section there's a writeup on post 6 under wakelocks. Do keep your response here in the s3 mini thread though.

alright, will read and purchase it and download.

when we put our phone in idle mode, its mean that our phone is in deep sleep already? or when in idle mode, the background process like whatsapp, wechat, viber will consume battery eventhough i off my wifi and didn't use it?

and i dont think my brightness which is set to 100% because when in idle mode, it wont consume battery ?
*
There's a free version on XDA. Properly designed apps will go to sleep and still receive notifications consuming very little battery, but Viber (and others) are not very well behaved so it keeps your phone awake. In idle mode your screen is off right.....

The 3 with << are naughtier than the rest. The bolded ones are usually found to be naughty.

Install BetterBatteryStats for a little better insight.

not working ..

it just wont add shortcuts to screen, but will appear in widgets section ..

i found out cool apps - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...mlabs.bbm&hl=en

also, i found out airplane mode is useful , or perhaps i will use airplane mode to test for overnight again see whether my HSPA consume power with or without sim card.

Airplane mode

Putting your phone in airplane or flight mode will turn off you GPRS or LTE signal. This will of course conserve you battery in a big way. The obvious drawback of doing so is that you can not place calls or text while this mode is in effect. If you don’t want to be reached or you are in an area with no phone signal you could turn on airplane mode to save a lot of battery juice. To do so enter settings and press the more settings. At the top of your screen press the Airplane mode. Your phone will now stop trying to connect to the mobile signals.

Oh of course it will appear in the Widgets section. That section is not an active part of the homescreen. It just shows the available widgets which you can drag and drop to the homescreen. The Widgets section is just like a different cabinet for Widgets.

QUOTE(VroomVroom @ Mar 23 2013, 08:42 PM)
Hi guys, I'm conducting a survey about Samsung smartphones & current / ex users.

It's part of my final yr project smile.gif I hope you guys could spend just 2-3 mins to help me with my survey.

1) Your real name: Cheryl Lee
2) The institution you are attending: HELP University
3) An email address, preferably an academic domain: B0900964@helplive.edu.my
4) Your supervisor's name: Ms. Liew
5) Your research topic: Consumer Decision Making to Purchase Samsung Smartphones
6) The purpose of your survey: To determine the factors that influence the Millennial (aged between 13-32 years old) to purchase Samsung smartphones.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Y873ZNX

Your participation is greatly greatly appreciated!
*
You are prolific and seem to have identified your target demographic accurately via LYN. I would like to ask why are you not including any age bracket higher than Millenials? I would hazard a guess that a lot of >40yrs old consumers also have Samsung devices and are also active in this forum.

At the very worst you can see >40s on the leftmost side of your curve and formally conclude that >40s can be dismissed tongue.gif
