SimCity Traffic Update
QUOTE Hello, Mayors! We’ve been busy collecting your feedback since the game launched, and I wanted to show you some of the changes we’re currently testing. One thing that you’ve made clear was that traffic has been a frustrating issue in many cases. That’s why we’re making it better. In his blog post earlier this week, Stone Librande, our Lead Designer, mentioned how our congestion avoidance system works, with roads being weighed based on 25%, 50% and 75% congestion rates. Although this system was in the game at release, it was tuned a little too low. Here, you can see an example of the new tuning, where vehicles pile up on a dirt road on their way to the stadium, until I build avenues around it, relieving traffic coming from the regional highway: Finally, emergency & service vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, coal trucks, buses, etc… will now have priority when they leave their garages, so traffic in front of their building will stop to let them on the street. Keep checking back here for more updates. |

So I dumped DavidReka v10 and started DavidReka v11 already. V10 went down the craphole quite quick after the sewage got out of control.

Join thinknick region in oceanic 2. My oceanic 1city keep force close. Anyway, I start my city slowly, builting resident, commercial and factory according to unemployment, job availablilty, shopper, student etc. Somehow I manage it nicely than my previously city. I have 11k population with only 8 row of residents, 4 row of commercial and 2 rows of factory. I built my bus depot in between residents area and bus stop at my shop and factory. Some of them walk to depot and then go to work by bus. So I think llama speed is somehow useful to me. Yup, city built very slow but I manage it beter this time. No more protest in front of my town hall. HeheSuch a waste of time waiting for your city to grow with Llama mode. This post has been edited by Zelmel: Mar 17 2013, 11:13 PM |
