hi guys, does this game really as bad as they say on reddit (you know, reddit hivemind, so i will give myself the benefit of doubt) so to the people who bought this game. is the game worth the price?

apart from a few bugs, the game itself is simply addictive. the aforementioned server issues are mostly resolved by now, apart from some intermittent connections once in a while
It's not bad at all.. but it definitely could be better. As it stands now, a lot of us are waiting for the patch that fixes traffic issues that usually kills a city off once you get too big.
SimCity didn't become V2 this quickly if it wasn't a good game... so there's my 2 cents

same struggling here...
there is a lot of minor bugs like wat they said.....
but its not like its is so buggy that is unplayable...
once i feel that it's not worth the money i pay because of the server issue. seems they are quite fast in resolving that issue though.
game is addictive enough to me.. dont see traffic as a big bug to me, at least it's fun to me to resolve the issue.. well that's what a mayor supposed to do apart from just plopping building, zoning and drawing road isn't it..
i see lot of people stop playing dy? me still playing, taking the traffic as a challenge! come on, if the sims path AI is extremely intelligent, what fun could we have in playing. it'll be like no proper planning needed for your city dy.. haha
Starcraft II Heart of Swarm released, more ppl playing that now while waiting for Simcity to stable first.

I think I also mentioned before the game has it potential to be a better game in future. There is something that the developer yet taddictive.lock. The game is addictive. Challenging for me. My 1st city, built fast, population rise so fast that a lot of problem arise. Almost bankrupt but manage to survive. Barely survived. Second city, smaller city but built slowly, it become much better than my first city. It challenging. Traffic thing. Connection thing. Those are the moment the problem the game had, and also small bug here and there. but still addictive

A lot people complain on day 2. As they can't enter the server. Took us at least 2 days for everyone to cool down. The game is fine now but like I told everyone already waiting for Cheetah mode to come back. It will be a waste of time waiting for your city to grow. You could save like a lot of your time if there is cheetah mode.
Traffic bug seems to have been fixed, now for them to fix the transfer bug. Transfering your money, resources to other city seems to be broken sometimes and the great work.... sometimes you can't send the material to built it. which is a big problem

i will either wait for the devs to rectify the bugs or see if the modder that fiddled around the game releases a working offline mod

Offline mode seems possible, but I think it still will require a server for the game to run. If the modders could code it and develop it a bit, i'm sure it's possible for offline play. I'd like the game to be offline too, and I support the modders
Finally cannot tahan anymore and played today. Join thinknick region in oceanic 2. My oceanic 1city keep force close. Anyway, I start my city slowly, builting resident, commercial and factory according to unemployment, job availablilty, shopper, student etc. Somehow I manage it nicely than my previously city. I have 110k population with only 8 row of residents, 4 row of commercial and 2 rows of factory. I built my bus depot in between residents area and bus stop at my shop and factory. Some of them walk to depot and then go to work by bus. So I think llama speed is somehow useful to me. Yup, city built very slow but I manage it beter this time. No more protest in front of my town hall. Hehe
this.. is true. haha

My most successful city after learned to bankrupt 7 cities in a row.
wow same map as the city i'm currently developing.. still trying to balance everything before building casinos in the center.
I'm, still thinking whether i need commercials or not coz the high end building always abandoned due to no shopper.
Balancing what the citizen wants is the key to make everyone happy. They won't abandon if you can balance the wealth, medium and low income citizen. You built a Nuclear power plant and you probably have a decent amount of people which is educated. You should take it slowly, no wonder not much income.. you built soo many facilities for your citizen until you cannot earn profit

haha i spent a lot time changing this side of roads to improve traffic. Trying to be creative at first building 'overlapping' block layout. without realizing my treasury already millions.
like Rei7 said, just build service whatever necessary.. haha i wish that we can charge those public transport though. this government is so nice giving free transport. hahaha
