Hi,

I am selling off my VF-2 that's been sitting in the cabinet since 2011 for it to find a new owner who knows how to use it, I just can't get the hang of it. Will definitely allow handsome discount for M4/3 members biggrin.gif Direct PM please.

Here's the thread: -

I wonder whether the Olympus VF-2 is compatible with Panasonic Gx1 camera? If I remember correctly they aren't compatible, but not sure about new bodies.

Finally grabbed EPL5 with 17 f1.8. Almost gonna get EP3 with much better grip but can't resist epl5 speed.
*
+1 here, the ep3 has very good grip, specially if the original grip is replaced with mcg-2 which is much larger and you can hold the cam with just one hand and shoot. That's what I did. Epl2 also has a good grip. I miss that cam very much.

I wonder how would it fair against the pany 20 f1.7? That would be interesting to see.

Panny 20mmf1.7 is sharper but hunting focus in low light.. Also has banding issue with omd..
*
Agreed on hunting focus in low light and also hunting focus in busy environment and when in use/has been on for a period of time, like in street shooting, yes I have these issues with the 20/1.7 on my ep3, on many occasions in my 2-yrs experience with it. Really love to get my hands on the new version.

tcm7782,

those were simple yet incredible images, perhaps due to the sharpness of thd lens, those images really stand out. What lens were you using?

If I wanna get a zoom lens for my ep3, what would you recommend? Can other sifus also chip in?

thanks

yeah u can google Raynox wide angle converter (quite a good quality converter but of cos price also high a bit la) and i found Vivitar (its lens reputation is not bad, thie converter cost cheaper but quality i havent do research tho)
*
I have it, its a 2-in-1 kit actually, where the front part is the .45x wide-angle and you can unscrew this leaving the macro adapted on your lens. I use Panny 14mm + a step-up ring (49 to 5x something i forgot) and you screw the Raynox wide-angle kit on to it. It says on the inscription HD probably its high definition? but the pictures taken is bright and sharp. Distortion is quite heavy on my 14mm though. Perhaps it may not be that bad if using the 20mm.

Thanks for the responses. Sorry to bother, but any chance you have some pics of this gear? I have a problem with the kit 14-40 lens as it isn't wide enough when I'm trying to take some in-car shots. Am thinking of getting a wide-angle converter, but I can't seem to find the correct size for my lens?

Note: you will need a 46-52mm step-up ring to receive the kit and to screw it onto your 14mm or 20mm.

any idea where to get the lens cover for Lumix 20mm? sad.gif lost mine into longkang....

Its 49mm thread, same as its smaller brother the 14mm. Just search on Lelong or eBay, its reasonably cheap but its only generic.

yup its 46mm. I have seen one on eBay asking for over rm50 for a used ori cap from usa. Get a cheap one from Lelong or eBay for much cheaper.

Hi guys,

I have an ep1 with unresponsive buttons; ael/afl and all the way down to the bottom button "menu" can't get them to respond.

What could be the problem(s)? Can someone offer some ideas/recommendations?

Many thanks in advance

I will probably open it up first and clean up the contact points and if thats not going to help, ultimately it will be going to the oly svc ctr.

thanks for the input

Hi everybody,

I am letting go an ep2 that i bought for my son, its adapted with Minolta mc rokkor pg 50mm f1.4 lens fitted with the proper md to m43 adapter and uv filter. To complete the retro classic look, i have also furnished the cam body with the famous and original Aki-asahi classic black leatherette. To compliment the whole setup as a classic camera, i have also a Hippie-styĺe colorful strap. My son, being a noobie couldnt appreciate it and he throw it back to me after over a week. vmad.gif

Look for my sale thread in the Digital camera and lenses section.

For the benefit of fellow m43 users, i can let go cheap, at cost, if you are interested. Just pm me. If your interested, you can whatsapo me at 014-3517051.

thanks for reading

cheers

My sale thread: Ep2

here's a pic i have uploaded to imageshack;
