Done that , also fail to detect it . So go back to persues , formatted back to exfat , copy the same file into the sd card and it's detected in least then 5 mins after boot up ......... I also cant understand the reason for it .

So if we want to hide our files on Note 2 just use a fat32 card. drool.gif

Yeah i confirm media is not detected on my sdcard fat 32 also. icon_rolleyes.gif

Nope , running on ICS for Dorimanx kernel since it got BLN support . Haven't tested on JB with it yet . But i remember i was able to select ringtones from my file as well when I was running Helly_Bean and that was 4.2.2 ....... I formatted my sd to fat32 to try out CarbonRom with NEAK AOSP kernel . After a while , I flash back to Du@lnote + persues and went to sleep but couldnt detect still in the morning . Nvm , when i free go try out again .

The specs are very awesome on the s4..
But anyhow, for me without the s pen, it doesn't have a strong monolithic point against the note 2.
As the saying goes " A pen is mightier than a sword, or the " The ink of a scholar is mightier than the blood of a martyr. "

Bro, throwing around multi-syllable words inappropriately makes one sound pompous smile.gif and pretentious.

"monolithic" doesn't add weight to your statement, just makes it sound weird. A monolith is a large block of stone, literally.

The word should probably be "compelling".

Your last sentence is nicely appropriate to the subject matter though. smile.gif

This is just a correction of usage, no offense.

I have like 3.8GB of songs which I stored in my sd card . If it's fat32 , I cant seem to detect it in my phone for ringtones . But for ExFat , there is not a problem .
My question is limitation for fat32 is 4Gb correct ? Is it per file or per folder as I stored my songs in my media > ringtones . But then i feel funny not being able to have it detected even it's not even 4Gb
*
As uncle has said, it is 4Gb per file. I don't remember if there is some limit in the allocation table itself for total number of files it can count ... maybe you have too many files? whistling.gif I do recall back in the bad old days that FAT16 had a limit of 512 entries in the root directory. Don't know if something similar applies to FAT32.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 14 2013, 11:47 AM)
Try "rescan media root" from market and force media scan. Also make sure no .nomedia file.
*
Eh, what about the .nomedia file? I thought you use this in a subdirectory to hide it from scanning right? Or did you mean that he shouldn't be having a .nomedia file hiding his stuff from the scanner?

Why you should avoid pirated apps:
http://www.androidauthority.com/pirated-android-apps-170550/
Here’s one reason why you shouldn’t use pirated Android apps. It’s very easy to inject malicious code into Android app packages, which means any app out on the wild can potentially include malicious code. If you can download a cracked, free .APK of an app of an otherwise download as a paid application from Google Play, chances are it may already have been tampered with.

crApple marketing chief slams Android

http://www.androidauthority.com/apple-mark...android-170578/

Talk about fighting words.

Apple really has a way about them, you know that? Just about everything that comes out is lambasted by the tech company, who defiantly bucks trends in lieu of their status quo. They will tell us they re-invented just about anything, and somehow even the most evident of pre-existing tech is something they created.

Today is no different. In what can only be considered a continuation of the bad blood between themselves and Samsung, Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller dismissed the Galaxy S4 as a competitor the the iPhone. He went on to bash all Android devices, saying in part “the experience isn’t as good as an iPhone.” and “When you take an Android device out of the box, you have to sign up to nine accounts with different vendors to get the experience iOS comes with.”

Let’s address these statements individually. First, the experience on an Android device is what you make of it. This is the true beauty of open source… we can do as we like. Don’t like TouchWiz? Screw it, flash a new ROM and custom theme. Vanilla Android boring you? Get the HTC One with Sense. That screen not cutting it? Get a different size.

Now, as for this claim of having to sign up for nine accounts. That’s just misinformation, really. I only have to sign up for one account, and that’s a Google account. Should I choose to have more accounts, that’s my prerogative.

Rhetoric born of fear is trite, and puts Apple in a continually dimming light. If Mr. Schiller wants to discuss experience, I’d challenge him to tell me where I can find widgets on the app store… and which of those are lock-screen widgets. I’m also curious as to how he organizes folders on his device. Who are the major ROM developers for Apple? Can you swipe away notifications yet, or do they still show on the app icon itself? I’d like to NFC beam him my entire list of questions, so hopefully I see him soon.

Perhaps Mr. Schiller is upset that his stock options are worth about half their value from 12 months ago, or that the overall market share of iOS is so low, worldwide. Then again, he’s a marketing guy… so what should we expect if not cheerleading? Normally we’d tell someone like him to get lost, but he’s using Google Maps now, so we know he won’t.

Seems like retailers are estimating a retail price of 2199 for S4. And they even went on and say that the stock will be sold once it is announced...

Fuyoh Samsung so eager to sell it

Good execution of the end-to-end supply chain. However I suspect this strongly indicates that they would have kept the manufacturing process as simple as possible, which is why an evolutionary design over the S3 is true.

Well, I do not bother about design too much as it is only the external appearance, and again I will state, it's a large glass slab with a bezel tongue.gif What's important to me are the customization options in Android itself.

Making radical design changes for "hip-ness" and "coolness" screwed HTC up, as it has been reported it takes 200hours just to mill 1 chassis for the phone. I also have an aluminium bodied device. You don't want to drop an aluminium bodied device....and you will have to keep it in a casing.

Correction: octo proc is marketing-speak only. Only 4 cpus are active at any one time. To the OS it is only 4 cores.

iphone = do not deserve a dayum. maybe deserve to be thrown to their fans when apple add a stupid feature and claim that its the best (notification center, revolutionary my big backside)

Re-correction: doesn't matter. the die has 8 procs. can use 1 ka, 2 ka, 8 ka that's a different story. physically, there's 8. like i have a couple of liters of blood in my body. either it goes up or down to power my different brains, its another story, i still have x liters of blood.
