Been dwelling into this thing that was bugging me --> don't like to long press my physical home button to get the recent apps.
My solution finally (as i cannot find any mod to change long press menu settings) is install Recent Task.. from the play store and use simplistic framework to link long press menu to this app. Working well so far.

Also exchange the location of my back and menu button since i usually hold the phone with my left hand and back button is used alot. Now can press the back button easily and quickly. Back, back, back back...  tongue.gif  rclxms.gif

How change the back & menu button
And downloaded the recent app, open it straight show recent task smile.gif

I guess we're ok, averaging slightly over 120 posts per day to date. I also suppose it will be somewhat quieter due to the wait for 4.2.x, unless a lot of new owners start showing up.

Still, I'm happy with my device rclxms.gif

my 2A charger set arrived... i also bought some extra MicroUSB cables.

initial test... nice. yes, can see 1800mAH. well, will try over the next few days and feedback next week.

as for the microUSB cable... i noticed the microUSB tip is very much longer than the ones i have. i find that good too! biggrin.gif

tested on my computer so far and i can see the phone. also will test over the next few days and see if its good (stable -- my current cable not stable, every now and then, Windows 7 can't see and detect the phone. will also give me some weird error).

many thanks to fruitie for the contact.

You are welcome. biggrin.gif
I have used for months and it's still 1800mAh till today. biggrin.gif

Today's battery life is no good. Mainly because of wakelocks and bad signal. sad.gif

You can try without wipe first. If got issue only wipe. Advice to change kernel to latest Adam or perseus.

The latest one I used was quite buggy, there were some app casing serious wakelocks. Using Alliance rom now and really love it blush.gif

Some slightly amusing news about why Samsung became great:

Read the last sentence.

I don't really feel Samsung is great. I don't really own anything that Samsung makes except for smartphones.

I would point the gun at Qualcomm and Texas Instruments. Qualcomm was late to the A9 party, so do TI. Samsung was largely unchallenged when it comes to soc supremacy. On top of that, there's Super AMOLED Plus and how it was the only phone that plays all those video format without a hitch nor does it requires any party software.

Now, I would say it's more open and definitely more challenging for them ever since Qualcomm released Krait based soc. S4 will definitely determine if Samsung still appealing to consumers or otherwise. Only Note series still unchallenged due to the inclusion of S Pen.

Come come 3 more posts tongue.gif

So again I will ask, does anyone know of free 3rd party survey sites (perhaps those in uni) that can generate simple statistics of Max Picks/Avg Result etc? Then we can collate all these "I'm on Alliance/Monx/ARHD etc" as a monthly summary.

Before the S and S2 using Android, I never looked at any Samsung phones. Proprietary cables, proprietary OS, crap update software (Kies whistling.gif ). They sort of "woke up" after the S2 and the Note1 with digitizer was a real gamble that paid off ... plus cardslot and removable battery.

Contrast with HTC One's ifixit score of 1.

Ah ok ....... I find the newer Assassin Rom buggy or could it be the theme I used , B&B 1.7 since dev removed it . For example , i can never go to vibration mode using volume key all the way down . It will work again after a reset then back again to this annoying " kumbang "
