Hi, I wanna protect my PC.
my pc is currently powered using a cheap 4 way extension plug that probably cost around rm 20.
one of the plug when i connect to my pc, the USB port on the pc shocks me whenever i touch it.
i got a table fan, 2 monitor power cables and a pc power cable connected to the 4 way extension plug. whenever i press on the fan mode button, my main monitor turns black for like 1-2 seconds and turns back normal. is this problem caused by the extension plug or just something wrong with my monitor?
and could you pm me a cal-lab extension plug and/or whatever product that i need for my case?

you have a bad equipment which caused electrical leakage.
Cal-Lab (or none of device) could not "revive" your faulty equipment.
Best to identify the faulty equipment and stop using it before hazard happened.

Hi. I'm planning to get some kind of surge protection for:
- TV+Unifi Model+router (together)+1 more outlet
- Fridge+ 2 to 3 other kitchen appliances
- Bedside items (maybe need 4 plug outlets)
- maybe one more "station" that can have 3-4 outlets.

Any suggestions? Was gonna buy a few units of the Belkin surge protectors, but decided to check here also.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Does your Unifi using copper or fiber cable?
Fridge recommended to use NILI9920F for 24x7 equipments. as other kitchen appliance, you may use SC0039

As bedside item, you may use TRM-NIF-3 for 3 power socket or use SC0039 to bypass existing wire to your multisocket.
For more than 4-6 power socket, you may use TRM-NIF-3 BU+PE and TRM-EP-UK2+US1

Hi gkl83,

I want to protect these items :

Desktop PC (with Monitor) + Asus Unifi Router + Unifi Modem + Speaker + Printer

My Unifi is fibre one. The LAN cable connection is only between modem and router, router and PC.

What product should I use?

does your Unifi modem internet bandwidth shared to any other PCs located via wired LAN cable which located at other rooms?
If dont have, you may use TRM-NIF-3-BU for power protection only... smile.gif

Thank you for your reply.

Nope, I don't have any other PC, only this one.

If you don't mind, can you show the photo of TRM-NIF-3-BU?

By the way, this is my current setup :

here the TRM-NIF-3-BU. There have another stackable version which allowed up to 6 or 9 power sockets as the replacement of your photo

Hi, thanks for your reply. Another question, since TRM-NIF-3-BU only has 3 UK sockets, can I use it with this multiplug (as shown in the following photo) :

user posted image

I plan to use it like this:

1. Monitor + CPU = one multiplug
2. Router + TM BTU = one multiplug
3. Speaker + printer = one multiplug

Can I do it like that ^^?

you may use this combination for 6 power socket...

TRM-NIF-3 BU+PE RM128 (Price before discount)
TRM-EP-UK2+US1 RM88 (Price before discount)

Let me know if you need more than 9-12 power socket for your setup...

no idea for this. many possibilities for this issues.
Best try to change few lightning light bulb type (eg: fluorescent to led tube) to minimize the causes.
