QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 31 2013, 03:11 PM) mumeichan, how come your pics all so sharp geek8585, happiness is a glass away, memory is a click away too... can't agree anymore.. It was so happened I saw two girl sitting down of the quote.. Talk while laugh with each other! Shoot by XE1+35/1.4... Mumeichan, your pic is really sharp.. Those are manual lens right? I admit I'm very slow when using manual lens, probably I'm still very fresh in manual focus especially in length estimation.. |

If u have 1.8k on hand, will you buy a Fujinon XF 18mm/F2 or a X20 compact ? (you have XE1+35mm with you) |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Mar 31 2013, 09:26 PM) hmm, quoted from someone else, if u need to ask, then dont buy. ya, you know what? i was aiming to buy the 18mm lens, currently i hv 35mm already... my type of shooting is more to landscape/scenery/building and street...For me, X20 seems tasty, because i already have X100 and X100s, add 1 more X20 silver then = good collection so was thinking of getting the 18mm can grand me few advantages in my coming trips: (1) wider focal length (2) the size of the lens, make it more like a x100 size hence, some of my fren just throw me some words... with the price of that lens, u can get a spare x20 in your pocket... i was like, why dont u wait me buy the lens only tell me, i'm serious dilemma now... perhaps, like what u said... if i end up dont buy the 18mm, i wont use the money buy x20 as well la |

QUOTE(coollong @ Mar 31 2013, 11:21 PM) I was thinking the same thing like u perhaps, if i were in your shoe... i will just drop the x100s at the moment unless u got extra bucks to spend ...i have D7000 n 2 lens 17-55 n 85 i oso thinking to switch my 17-55 to X100s for scenery n street photography then my 85 remain for event shooting but i already got X10 not long ago I also in the dilemma, as now i stop doing wedding photography for now and less time for shooting. So if i did change, i got 3 camera n no time for shooting and if got wedding photography, i not sure X100s will keep up the speed like my DSLR, btw, 17-55 is kinda slow too ( thanks to 24-70 ) so what i can said is, understand what u really needed are u willing to switch the quality to flexible? or stick with 1 perspective ( either 18 or 35 ) x100s is really fast (but i'm not sure how is it when compare to nikon dslr)... bare in mind, this camera only gives fixed focal length... quality wise, i think both are top at its own class... i see no fight is needed for the big sensor and small sensor... x20 offer 28-110 while fujinon xf 18mm gives a wider coverage... i guess i will just choose 18mm or dont buy anything at all |

QUOTE(mumeichan @ Apr 1 2013, 03:58 AM) I would just get a second hand x10, which is exactly what I just did. After selling off the x100, I realized that my x e1 and the lenses are just not anywhere in the compact range already. So I bought an x10 the minute I saw a good deal. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping it as I'll haven't had a chance to compare it with my E-PL3 and NX200 which I have the 18-50, 30 and 16 primes for. Too bad the nx200 doesn't have a viewfinder. heyyo, thanks for yr feedback but i see the x10 still isn't selling dirt cheap around for a secondhand model... i did consider your option but was looking for a unit around 800-900... perhaps, x20 seems improve a lot especially at 100% crop... the differences are more noticeable when compare x100 vs x100s...Btw, I don't really have any particular reasons as to why my pictures are sharp. I think they are just as sharp as other pictures I see. All I do is just turn the focus ring until it seems sharp. I don't even bother with the magnification anymore. and i agree with u... even xe1 mount with xf18/2, it still isn't really compact and portable... |

mumeichan vcheewei
i just simply bought a b+w filter slap on the lens by day1.. anything happen just block by the filter (or replaced it if it is badly damage)... for lens cleaning, i'm only dare to use blower... lenspen? yes but with a good quality one and control the power gently... carbon is known that hv capabilities to clean stain and oil... but the lens itself got a kind of coating... i just afraid i damage the coating when do the cleaning... hmm |

yup, hoya did produce some unwanted flare... and if u got stain on it, hell it is damn hard to clean... B+W XS-Pro is good IMO, slim and high quality... |

QUOTE(vcheewei @ Apr 4 2013, 05:13 PM) how much is the b+w filter that you got? too many fakes on ebay uk i bought a few from a genuine local seller... proven is original product...i mean once u test it under the sun straight can see already wan always see whether there is a b+w hologram... and the filter is a bit "heavy" when u put on hand |
