does using the EVF drain alot more battery than using the OVF, assuming all display options are on?
my X100 can only take about 200 shots (with constant EVF usage + some LCD usage) i am considering buying a spare ori battery This post has been edited by seather: Jun 22 2013, 12:50 AM |

QUOTE(mumeichan @ Jun 22 2013, 01:01 AM) Your battery got problem. When I had the x100, I used EVF and LCD auto switch. About 1 and a half batteries in the winter still gave me around 700-900 shots. do you turn the camera off when not using it for a period? (like traveling between locations) actually my gf is the one complaining about the battery life... i sud ask if she turns it off... i always use the OVF and can shot for 12 hours |

lost my X100 during a recent trip
sud i get a XE-1 + XF18-55mm + XF23mm f1.4 or a X100s + some prosumer compact (RX100 mk2, LX7, X20).... reason: - i love the x100.. its retro look, performance n that 23mm focal length - it is a 2nd camera to my DSLR during outings - my gf wants something zoomable |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Oct 7 2013, 11:08 PM) hmm, when lost means time for new one. ya... the x100 is a superb camera so i expect nothing less of the x100s.. definitely will get it soon... Serious, since u like x100 so much, u should try x100s. Judging from my exp, if u like x100, u will like x100s very x3 much. Personally , i have no intention to change x100s until its replacement out. Being on fix lens all the time for the past 2 years now, really tempted to get a XPro or XE, but since XE is coming out soon, u could probably wait awhile for XE2. As for me, XPro 2 maybe, if it out. Really miss some diff focal length and bokeh. Anyway, sorry for your lost i am tempted to go for the XE-1 (or XE-2) but too bad there is no affordable 23mm lens coming out soon... the f1.4 price sud be bank breaking when it comes to msia QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Oct 8 2013, 11:03 AM) wah, how can you lost a precious camera?? i think thief swipe it from my the top compartment of my backpack... was using my DSLR then.. get a XE-1 with 18-55mm and yes, 23mm if you prefer to keep the amazing 35mm. Option 1 yes i definitely want a 23mm lens becoz i love the 35mm FOV but the XF23mm f1.4 R is so expensive.. i think when available in msia will be around 3K so i guess i will settle for a X100s for me This post has been edited by seather: Oct 8 2013, 11:12 AM |

QUOTE(creative zn @ Oct 14 2013, 10:58 AM) Yah. Quite pricey since i might never use the hood. So its means if i buy native 40mm filter, it wont fit? why don't just go to shop and ask they find one for u... Btw, just order new strap ytd. Coz the strap bundle with the leather case is suck. Almost drop my cam. The strap to soft and loose quite easy. if it is too loose, u not afraid the filter will drop out strap is too loose? x100/x100s/x10/x20 all have the same kind of strap... u got install correctly??? ![]() |

QUOTE(Reckoning @ Oct 16 2013, 09:09 AM) Im really interested getting the X100s for my travel. How much is it street price including 2nd battery? I just found it too tiring and troublesome bringing d700 with 24-70mm for travel sud be around RM3600 i believe...it is a good second camera... but for travelling, i will prefer to have a zoom lens for versatility... especially when travelling in group... having only one prime means having to search around for the best angle... which leads to ppl saying "ooi faster la, need to take so many pictures ar?" |

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Oct 17 2013, 04:59 PM) Exciting time to be a photographer, Sony come out with Full frame, then Fuji also rumored X200 Full frame... zzzz i think there is still a place for a APS-C sensor x100s successor...x100s price oledi bank breaking... for a niche camera.. FF X200 will be double bank breaking... even more niche... but if sony is successful, all other brands will jump into the FF sensor but small body market la... which is good for all of us |

QUOTE(Joseph Hahn @ Oct 23 2013, 01:52 PM) Check out IP Mart bro. I got my silver X20 many months ago and it was priced at 1740. Now it's 100 cheaper there. I really regret buying my spare battery & EF-20 flash on Shashinki. It's much cheaper on IP Mart. the black one is RM1739 sans leather pouch... gila mahal sial i bought the same thing for RM1550 only last week.. |
