Took my X100 for a spin during a short trip to Melbourne recently... very satisfied with the overall performance

does using the EVF drain alot more battery than using the OVF, assuming all display options are on?

my X100 can only take about 200 shots (with constant EVF usage + some LCD usage)

i am considering buying a spare ori battery

do you turn the camera off when not using it for a period? (like traveling between locations)

actually my gf is the one complaining about the battery life... i sud ask if she turns it off...

i always use the OVF and can shot for 12 hours

@ Nusa Dua, Bali

woke up @ 6am to catch the sun rise... but too cloudy... so got this shot instead..

it was 6.15am i was the only person there...

but the foreground is abit empty...

the clouds r moving fast n the sun is rising.. so i hafta to take it there n then...

IMO, the wave will look nicer with longer shutter speed to make it milky

plus abit underexposed... unless u r trying to convey a solemn feel la

if it is the same battery as the x100, then i got mine for RM120 last time

if only it was interchange-lens body, i would get it in a flash...

lets see if either Fuji or Sony step up n fight Leica in the FF market or not...

f2.0 versus f1.4...

cannot compare directly la

lost my X100 during a recent trip

sud i get a XE-1 + XF18-55mm + XF23mm f1.4

or

a X100s + some prosumer compact (RX100 mk2, LX7, X20)....



reason:
- i love the x100.. its retro look, performance n that 23mm focal length
- it is a 2nd camera to my DSLR during outings
- my gf wants something zoomable

ya... the x100 is a superb camera so i expect nothing less of the x100s.. definitely will get it soon...

i am tempted to go for the XE-1 (or XE-2) but too bad there is no affordable 23mm lens coming out soon... the f1.4 price sud be bank breaking when it comes to msia

i think thief swipe it from my the top compartment of my backpack... was using my DSLR then..

yes i definitely want a 23mm lens becoz i love the 35mm FOV

but the XF23mm f1.4 R is so expensive.. i think when available in msia will be around 3K

so i guess i will settle for a X100s for me and a X20 for my gf

include the leather pouch or not?

once i sell off my 105mm micro lens n get my year end bonus...

maybe earlier if 6% GST is implemented immediately after oct 25.. but i doubt so

u can always get the Hood + Filter Package from Fuji.. but is pricey @ RM150

why don't just go to shop and ask they find one for u...

if it is too loose, u not afraid the filter will drop out

strap is too loose? how can?

x100/x100s/x10/x20 all have the same kind of strap... u got install correctly???

i only had the x20 for 2 days.. so no comment

but the x100 i had, i am quite satisfied because the built in usually guess correctly the flash power to use

it is a good second camera... but for travelling, i will prefer to have a zoom lens for versatility...

especially when travelling in group... having only one prime means having to search around for the best angle... which leads to ppl saying "ooi faster la, need to take so many pictures ar?"

i think there is still a place for a APS-C sensor x100s successor...

x100s price oledi bank breaking... for a niche camera..

FF X200 will be double bank breaking... even more niche...

but if sony is successful, all other brands will jump into the FF sensor but small body market la... which is good for all of us

mine RM1550 is X20 + 8GB card...

if i include leather pouch oso will be RM1700...
