Don't you guys feel slow speed when you are downloading anything in App store?
*
if you mean Google Android Play store then yes. All I did was set my router DNS settings to Google DNS and it seems to resolved it

if you're using RG4332, can refer to a guide here:

Like to know the router model you got for the Unifi in Sarawak/Sabah.

DIR-850L?

Hope we don't get the left over older models in E Msia. Ha.
*
I think it depends on luck more than anything. If the contractor handling your installation only has older routers like mine then you don't have any choice.

But like once of the TM technician told me, just get your own router as all their provided routers are super lousy

Unifi finally reached my house after few years...and the lowest package is too expensive for me...if only no stupid hypptv...feelsbadman...
*
there might be some small promo in the future but it won't get much cheaper I'm afraid since this is starting to be their marketing strategy to push better but more expensive packages

QUOTE(plumberly @ Jun 27 2016, 12:26 PM)
Installed Unifi 30 last week.

Better than streamyx 8 but only slightly faster. Cannot expect 30/8 = 4 times increase in speed. Ha.

Phone line now is crystal clear! Good.
*
general connection speed and connection quality for things like playing games and video call should be much better even if jumping from Streamyx 8. I can easily max out my 30Mbps downloading and uploading

I feel you bro, my office in Miri just a short distance from Curtin also only got 1Mbps maximum only
the new housing area beside a stone throw away already got UNIFI
everyday hear internet slow complain from users doh.gif

keep pressuring TM also no use doh.gif
*
afraid I was in the same situation and was just lucky that my area happened to be one of the next roll-out areas. can only advice to pre-register with TM or an agent so that you'll be one of the firsts to get installation done IF AND WHEN Unifi does come to your area ofcourse

RM179 promo is back! Details below

Updated UNIFI VIP Packages (UNIFI30 and UNIFI50)
**Current UNIFI Advance promo of RM20 rebate throughout contract period of 2 years for UNIFI30 and UNIFI50 if you subscribe from now until 31st December 2015 [eg. for UNIFI30 without any add-ons, from RM199 to 199-20=RM179(RM189.74 with GST)]
Edit: I just contacted internal TM staff and they confirmed to me that this rebate is valid within the contract period of 2 years only. Not a major issue as you are free to downgrade/cancel/upgrade at that time but you must remember to.
Note: Their marketing department should contact you for limited retention offers beforehand

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 31 2016, 03:09 PM)
Anyone 30MB user got offered to upgrade to 50MB with RM219? I got a call from TM tell about this but I hold my horse for upgrade. Lol. Manatau next year cheaper offer.
*
got an offer for 19* last time but already very happy with my 30Mbps

we're getting reports of some Kuching 30Mbps users getting their 50Mbps upgrade as we speak. You should receive an SMS if your area is one of the first to be selected for the update

From 2014 till now, wait and wait... no action at all.. area nearby my house already got unifi.. mine sad case.. sad.gif
*
I truly feel your pain but there's really nothing we can do except "submitting your interested". I did as well but not sure if it actually helped in the end for my area

QUOTE(NASUS31 @ Mar 30 2017, 02:59 PM)
I need to put conceal piping as my house is under renovations now, TM people say unifi will come to my house area in April, anyone know a reliable Unifi Installer in Kuching, Stapok area
*
there are many agents around but there just limited installation technicians that are assigned by TM themselves so nothing you can do there really. The most is agent may be able to help to push for a faster installation

Sorry for the long hiatus. Existing users Sarawak and Sabah of 30Mbps and 50Mbps (and possibly others) are eligible for a RM10 upgrade to the next tier. Example if you're using 30Mbps, you only need to pay RM10 more every month to get 50Mbps and so on

I found a rather interesting map showing off present and probably future planing of UniFi coverage in Sabah, not all areas are drawn on the map but those interested can still take a look.
*
really interesting map indeed. Do you have more info if this is from official sources? Is there one for Sarawak? Thanks for the link

QUOTE(pakmulau @ Dec 23 2017, 10:27 PM)
finally applied for unifi again for bonaza promo 30mbps package

went to tm point kk yesterday but got installation date on 2/1/2018 only
*
Huge influx of new applications from the new promo and existing upgrade promo. So there will be a big delay in installation now. My own upgrade took 3 weeks bangwall.gif

Not sure about Sarawak, haven't found one so far. I found this map when searching through Google randomly, probably not 100% official, maybe from some contractors since some areas are marked wrongly including mine. BTW, about the RM10 promo, when I asked the TM CS last time, she told me only those who applied before 31 Oct 2017 are eligible, and sadly those on Bonanza like me aren't in the list.
*
correct. As mentioned, this is only for existing users under contract. The new promo prices are still really good when you think about how much everyone had to pay for this speed only a few years ago

I don't have this issue. Currently using my connection fine as we speak

Taman Sri Wangi. Turboed 800Mbps.
But only can get 400Mbps download speed on wired. Upload 180+.
*
your case almost like my friends. He had to splurge for a really good router then ok already. Double confirm the router specs. Just because it's expensive does not mean can support the full 800Mbps bandwidth

What was your previous package?
*
30Mbps -> 50Mbps (free upgrade) -> 100Mbps (promo upgrade) -> (free, when turbo) 800Mbps
Will try again shortly. Apparently you need to shutdown router for longer than usual ("Turn it off, wait 10 minutes, and then turn it on again.")

Which model of BTU and router you using now?

Alcatel Lucent I-240G-T with a Dlink DIR-850L router
Edit: customer service person confirmed that my devices support 800Mbps. Seem to be an issue with their side. Sad, was so excited for 800Mbps

Turn off your QoS in DIR 850L, otherwise your router will cap at 100mbps for all.
Off your IPv6 as well
*
not sure what they did to get it working but it's definitely not QoS and IPv6

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Dec 27 2018, 09:50 AM)
how much are you paying now...?
*
RM189 excluding SST

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Dec 28 2018, 06:44 PM)
today, i randomly login to my TM account
i clicked "change my plan"..last time the option is maximum 8Mbps streamyx
today i saw 2 options
1. Unifi lite 100Mbps - RM129
2. Unifi basic 30Mbps - RM79

i click on the 100Mbps plan and submit, see how it went through after this...but AFAIK my place don't have unifi yet
*
heard many cases of them "pulling from nearby port" so who knows you might get it. But seem like they're still very busy with the turbo process (many people still haven't get turbo'd)

hey guys, anyone installed Unifi recently? 2 of my friends got charged for installation and would like confirmation on this. One was charged RM100 (no receipt given) for standard installation while the other is RM170 (with receipt given) for extra internal cabling

According to this article, standard installation is waived until 31st March 2019 https://www.lowyat.net/2019/177097/unifi-24...s-installation/
