HashtagLive is a community social media event which is born in Kuching, Sarawak, with intention to highlight talents on social media.

The event intends to bring those hashtags social media users always use on their social media post, to life. Aimed at highlighting the yet to be discovered talents on social media, a selected few hashtags will be used to bring numerous hashtags like music, art, gaming, sales(shops) to life, providing these 'yet to be known' artist to introduce their talents to the masses for FREE! This opportunity is rare considering most events nowadays are money centric, in which they will only bring in well known people/merchants/artist to get the biggest crowd.

Aside from that HashtagLive would also be used as a platform educate the public and social media users on doing charity, volunteerism and social media issues. On top of that all, HashtagLive would bring people of diverse backgrounds together at one spot, and hence promote friendship and unity.

Date: Saturday, September 12 at 10:00am
Venue: CityONE Megamall in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

Come and enjoy Borneo's biggest social media gathering! Bring your friends too!

Hi Vyrnach, wondering how is your application going? has it been installed for you?
my landlord applied for ours since Sept, according to him the TM agents told him we are in queue for installation but so far we are still waiting.

Also my friend said he saw Unifi setting up tables and chairs tongue.gif around his area Jalan Bampflyde!!
*
After waiting for many months, one of the technician just came over to my house 4 days ago and tell us installation will be conducted "soon"™. There was no email or call at all.

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 7 2015, 05:02 PM)
TM dealer called said have submitted my application, and 2hrs later I got email from TM said my application is being process and contractor will come over for cable installation. laugh.gif

But anyways, I have question here. It seems like they are applying separate line eh. sweat.gif Means I will have 2 phone line after the installation is done. Anyone having problem like me? Are there any way to "migrate" my existing number to the new unifi line?
*
Afraid I can't give you a straight answer as I have heard multiple answers regarding this. But you SHOULD be given an opportunity to 'assign one EXISTING line as a complimentary line as part of the transfer from Streamyx to Unifi'. I am not sure about other scenarios like only land line> Unifi

Just as a reference to give an idea on how long you have to wait after submitting your UNIFI application (atleast via an agent, for Kuching): I submitted my application via an agent on 28 July 2015.

Today I first got an 'official' call regarding my application on my preferred UNIFI number (as the one I entered in the form is not available). After that, I got an SMS that my installation will be this saturday (17 October 2015).

So in summary, the time from application to installation is: 2 months, 19 days

Finally got my UniFi installed yesterday. Was actually going for VIP5 but last minute changed to the promo 30Mbps and so far it's been simply incredible. I wasn't expecting the quality to live up to expectation as I have been stuck with the old awful Streamyx 1Mbps for so long. I'll let the images speak for themselves:

HI,i quite curious about hows the ping going (I am a gamer too)
Can u post a pingtest about 30mbps?
Thanks about it
*
Sure. Will do it when I get back? Which location? A normal cmd ping will suffice?

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 18 2015, 11:32 PM)
Got mine installed this evening. Bet the first few that got it in that Lorong that I live at. But there's problem with the speed. With laptop and PC, I can't seems to get pass 8Mb for both upload and download via speedtest. Sometime, it drop below 3Mb.. Especially the upload.

But it were perfectly fine when I test using my phone (oneplus one) with the speedtest apps and test from the same server (celcom kch).

My 8mb streamyx still on going, if anyone said there's problem with my PC / laptop, then why I can get full speed test doing speed test under the same device when I hop on my streamyx line? hmm.gif Weird right.
*
Speedtest.net is NOT a proper reliable way of measuring your speed. You may only get 3Mbps to that test site in California but I'm totally downloading full 30Mbps with the help of a download manager or another software.

The 'best' way depends on your usual usage. I'm a gamer and download a lot of stuff so it's only usual that I use my proffered download tool for my testing (which is IDM and uTorrent, which both easily downloads up to 30Mbps) and also the connection quality such as ping.

Anyone from Sabah have any information on Sabah's upcoming UniFi coverage or simply any official confirmation that this is happening soon?

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 20 2015, 11:06 AM)
Unifi seems taking their business seriously yo! Lodge complains regards on my issue yesterday morning, and they called me back in the afternoon then send their team come over to check this morning. Looks efficient to me. End up the issue on their side, so they did some testing and call to KL for adjustment and finally my problem resolved. laugh.gif
*
I have to say I also faced this only very recently in regards to my UniFi installation and after it. Some girl's from their UniFi 'service center' were very helpful throughout the process. If it means getting proper internet to the masses, I'm all for it

Important Note: Most common installation that does not require 'extended' internal wiring is FREE. If technician still say otherwise, just tell them this is not the case. If they still insist on payment just request a receipt. I am hearing reports of installations being charged even though it should be free

If you urgently require assistance (especially for Kuching area) please PM me

If you're comfortable, try logging in to your Unifi router and changing the Wifi password (and nothing else). Will give more info when I'm back home

If not, just call 100 and they should send a tech over

Oh well, I decided check the actual postcodes that are officially listed in the Unifi coverage page.
The results are fairly interesting.

user posted image
17 out of 220 postal codes are under Unifi coverage at Sarawak.

Whereas, Sabah only scored 7 out of 398 postal codes.

Do keep in mind, the all postal codes listed are retrieved from a third party site, which may not be necessary accurate.

Anyone getting UNIFI connection issues around 8pm-2am tonight and the past 3 nights? For normal browsing it's not obvious, but for gaming and upload streaming the spiking is very very serious.

Note: Forgot to mention my other friend also from Kuching but different area has faced the same thing
Note2: There was a letter saying there will be some 'exercises' but I think it's not related

Do you get 41ms ping from Malaysia most of the time?

lowest I had for west malaysia was definitely around 4x. I think I had 2x when connecting to my friend's server (within Kuching) but very rarely there's server around here so I didn't bother to include that sweat.gif

if you play dota2 or csgo mostly likely it's the singapore one (Singapore 26-94)

The following is NOT confirmed but I have seen evidences that many people are having this issue right now:

UNIFI been having major connection issues during peak times from 6PM-2AM for the past 1 month now. This includes ping connection quality so things like online gaming and even VOIP will be severely affected. Currently working with TM technical staff regarding this and will update accordingly

Normal connection @ 10am

I also find it weird that VIP 5,10,20 has free unlimited fixed line calls, whereas VIP 30 and 50 doesn't. My mom definitely wants the free fixed line calls.

I just asked TM about what happened to the supposedly official Sarawak fb page. This is their reply:

QUOTE
The Facebook page given is not an official TM page. For any inquiries, you can drop us a message. By the way, you can refer to us or any nearest TMpoint (http://bit.ly/18oqjT0) for Streamyx coverage or you can check UniFi coverage via online at bit.ly/f0bgcz
If this is true, that is one awesome fake fb page. tongue.gif What about Sabah's fb page? blink.gif
