QUOTE(deodorant @ Apr 10 2013, 06:16 PM)
cheaper in malaysia, by quite a significant amount. if you're worried about warranty u can always buy brands like Asus that come with international warranty.
*
Asus have serious warranty 'cock up' issues lately with their service centre but it's a reliable brand. Most laptops comes with international warranty anyway.

I just bought a ticket back to my hometown for RM400++ for the election. This month I could not send any money back to my parents.

Please vote wisely this time so I can vote in Malaysia embassy in Singapore in the future election.

Just did a tour around KK area. PKR presence is so weak here compare to BN and one local party. Felt neglected. They only won 1 seat last time. No ceramah, no campaign so far according to dad. Why they not attacking stronghold and fix deposit of BN?
*
I watched quiet a lot of Anwar speeches and I thought the recent one in Sabah quite humorous.

Also, what if the job mentions "Only Singapore + Singapore PRs need to apply". If I am neither, can I still apply? Or don't bother?

Any advice?
*
i guess just give it a pass. The company might already filled up the quota for foreign worker(s) or just don't wanna go thru the hassle of hiring one.

Really noob question, i hope its fine to post in this thread a query regarding how to fill up the S Pass application form? Its urgent and i can't seem to find a definite answer on the web
I'm stuck at filling up a section for this part - Education details.

I took a 3+0 degree previously....3 years in malaysia but the degree is awarded by Curtin Uni in Australia.

The form asking me to fill up details of the  awarding body of the degree, state/ province of body and whether its a distance learning/ full time. I am guessing it should be filled in as Curtin, Australia and full time?

Any advice?
*
Just filled up to your best ability. They will need photocopy of your cert anyway

i think if convert to international license you can drive in singapore. one of my friends did the test and told me....
*
you could only do it for 12 months, the same when using Malaysia license. You still need a Singapore driving license after that. International driving license is just a copy of your driving license, translate to English. So, why bother ?

do you know how to buy a motorcycle in singapore? i am curious. if a car need 50% down payment, what about motor?
*
Motor loan is offer directly by the shop/company iirc. So, it's out of MAS regulatory of the 50% loan (for banks)? Meaning you could get even 90% loan, depends on the individual shop.
