but i'm interested in TMNT biggrin.gif

i think ppl born in 80s and 90s might know TMNT. those after that, bit difficult since the animation is stil very very new. last time TMNT is like super big hit with the kids, more than super heroes.

LLM im not sure can expand or not coz they already in construction on lego waterworld & hotel..
wuah..penang people already have TT session..where? biggrin.gif

well haunted house is quite awesome..can fit into other modular?

amazon price is $179.97 = RM560.43 ...and local seller seems selling at range between RM800 to RM900..  sweat.gif

waiting for Alby price list also..for reference..
*
bro, i bringing in haunted house. and i can tell u, u cannot convert like that. if u do direct conversion, it means u have to ship urself from US to malaysia. like last time in US, i bought my mill falcon for usd110 only. smile.gif

and if u calculate the box dimension of Haunted House, the shipping weight is around 4-5kg. smile.gif that is why local sellers have to sell at that price range.

thanks for pointing that out....
i think u r correct...

the set is around 3kg.
set is around rm600, shipping about rm200 (add insurance n so on)...tax is 10%, so another rm100 (for the processing n so on)
so total = around rm900  cry.gif
haha..u also kena poisoned?
my wallet only allow for 1 modular set per year whistling.gif
cos i wanna get something else tongue.gif
*
hahah, just to share la. normally item weight doesn't matter. is the lego box's volumetric weight. so even if it weighs like 3kg, it could go up to 4kg-5kg for shipping.

insurance is not really much. but tax (item cost + shipping cost), that is the killer. imagine if ur cost is RM 800, tax already RM 80.

that's why its not cheap to bring in and for modular or high end sets, the profit is really very little.

*
330 is lower than my cost i think. ahahhaha. so it is indeed VERY GOOD price from Alby biggrin.gif

Went to ikea yesterday to get ribba frame.,,,30 minutes standing in undecided.. which one should i get?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

decided to buy frame on the right side, smaller size, can fit about 18 minifigures instead 70minifigures if i choose the left frame. i tot if bigger frame, too crowded.. not exclusive enuf. bought 6 of them.

on my way home, drop by stationery shop and bought really thick cardboard. now i have these for my project:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

doing the measurement, cutting the cardboard took only 20 minutes..
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

and the result... walla!
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

the frame cost RM34.90 (ribba ikea frame) and the cardboard cost RM7.50 (can cut up to 8 size of the frame). including the white 2x2 bricks, the cardboard and the frame itself..  total cost is about RM40/frame..  whistling.gif

actually LYN sellers can import very fast, and sell u all price which is good for us esp when there's no such items in Malaysia retail market yet.

but the problem is, if ALJ decides to bring in, the price will be very good for Creator. smile.gif

as reseller, i would recommend - WAIT for the retail price. unless u cannot wait, then u can ask 1 of the sellers to bring in wink.gif

Hi everyone,
This is my first post in Lowyat Forum  blush.gif
Recently found this thread and have been following since then. Still learning to navigate around.  sweat.gif

Previously only purchase Lego through the local retail shops and on ebay. After reading over here only found all the alternative ways. Now, even have reasons to go for a trip to Hong Kong, Singapore or Taiwan.  whistling.gif
Thank you all very much for taking all the efforts to share everything about Lego. Really benefited from it but at the same time also heavily poisoned due to the continuous poisoning.  icon_question.gif

As for me,
At the moment would focus on modular buildings (aiming to build a row of modular buildings by the end of the year  rolleyes.gif )
and some interesting Lego - Friends sets as I like those newly introduced light-coloured bricks.

In future, will definitely share anything that I find interesting about Lego.  icon_rolleyes.gif

welcome to the LEGO world tongue.gif

some LEGO friends can actually be combined with modulars to make a nice city scape biggrin.gif
