QUOTE(zoomckng @ Mar 8 2013, 11:45 AM) Must have the words "No to ALJ" that shld get the t-shirt sales going, and to prove a point actually u cannot blame ALJ since i think their price needs to be standard for whole lot of malaysia, including some remote parts of msia. if only sell in KL, then different story. thats what i think la. distributor has to think of logistics, currency, warehouses to stockpile, custom, bla bla bla.Good idea for a club tshirt. I think if we have enough ppl coming together for a yumcha session, many things an be discuss. Most important, to get bulk orders to bring Lego prices down |

QUOTE(steph13 @ Mar 10 2013, 10:48 PM) i would suggest u get the set instead. im sure if figs alone rm30 is quite impossible. sure ppl will goreng the price. yeap but how much is it for the new set? thinking to bring them in or notQUOTE(mryellow19 @ Mar 10 2013, 11:51 PM) out of the existing modula sets, is this the best yet ? QUOTE(mchw08 @ Mar 11 2013, 06:41 AM) but think bout the cost of rental and xpenses and they purchase not in bulk... not like big dept got better rate n can gave discount... +1 yea, sometimes u hv to think of their rental and time also. online sellers in lowyat can sell cheaper because we don need to rent a shop/place/chairif buyer thinks its ok and dun want spend lot of time hunting them, etcc.. can get it there. the couple do have other retro and discontinue set. lol.. QUOTE(dilvin @ Mar 11 2013, 07:35 AM) ya wor, a lot of ppl asking me. but i told them if got 10% discount, shld get from retail because its not much difference. |

QUOTE(aba9785 @ Mar 11 2013, 08:39 AM) on my next post, i would like to share some pricing discrepancy from ALJ (please dont tell them) actually some CREATOR, DUPLO and CITY sets are like this. thats why u see LYN sellers dont bring in those stuff. DUPLO esp. did calculation, and its bout the same price or lower, after direct conversion (no shipping included)actually this is a tip from alanyuppie 31002 Super Racer lego.com price = USD14.99 ALJ price = RM44.9 Conversion = 2.99533022014676 at the time of this writing. 1 USD = 3.10450 MYR http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/conver...From=USD&To=MYR so we are getting the above set cheaper than US the above price is without the 10%/15% discount yet. u can do the math for other model later (or just refer to what i bought previously |

QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 12 2013, 11:20 AM) Do you all realized something from our community and why is it different from others? i find my import stuff conflict wif a lot of sellers - hobbit, lotr, super heroes, star wars, etc. but so far, my best selling r base plates, friends, star wars. LOLIn our community resellers are buying from each other instead of always importing stuff themselves. This not only boost the economy but also shows that we are not treating each other as competitors. Instead, we are something like helping each other. Agree? my incoming ironman sets not cheap. still hv to learn from Alby on how to reduce shipping cost |

QUOTE(FunkyMonkiBaby @ Mar 12 2013, 11:53 AM) Ive never ordered LEGO from overseas before but some custom officer regard shipping cost as part of the RM 500 limit. yeap, thanks for sharing Meaning if my item is RM 400 but the shipping is RM 150, then most likely will be detained at LCCT POSLAJU office. Even if the value is < RM500 but the box size is large, it will also get detained. Custom will ask you to come to open (sometimes they themselves also open prior to your arrival) and tax accordingly. If mixed toys, I can safely inform its for own use. If many duplicate items, it may be regard as for trading purposes. Tax rates differs and yes, it may lead to more paperwork hassle. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 12 2013, 11:50 AM) Creators 2013 is priced really good in retail so cannot earn anything from that unless you import for yourself or doing your friends/family/neighbour a favor creator and city sets lo...quite competitive. DUPLO is a big no even though a lot of requests. :| |
