gawd. guys i just finished my booster. everything works fine, led, switch and all. sweet.
but damn! im so puzzled at what to use for enclosure. then i saw u guys talking abt it... so please metalzone...any solutions?

yeah soldered to 3pdt. be careful with how u hold the 3pdt so that the lugs appear like this - - - not like | | | . i got it wrong the first time, had to take all out.

The aluminium column I have can be used to make a box about the size as the taiwanese 125B-size in your link.
I need to get more, don't have enough to spare. And make a couple of em boxes. But how long are u guys willing to wait?

try not to use metal enclosures.... sometimes when you solder the components in you'll get a short circuit

we have been very patient with our switches, and we shall even be more patient with you. the boxes can be simpler than those boxes in the link la. how much will it cost ? we shall discuss it sometime when u are free-er. shall we?


everyone uses metal boxes...so i guess if we're careful with our soldering..shld be fine.

haha okies. yeah the box would be quite simple and workeable. those in the link are cast steel i think. thats why can make all those ribs and stuff.
Already have an idea how make it. Will try to make a prototype soon and see.

anyway, as long as ur stuff is grounded and the back of the PCB is covered by some sort of plastic to prevent it from touching the metal its ok...

these metal , are used to make pc casings is it? where do u get them, u got the relevent tools, like saws...drills?

lol well, i dont 'make' PC casings yet, i only mod them.
the aluminium L or square columns find from those ppl who make aluminium stuff, and aluminium sheets get from metal wholesalers.
yes i got drill, jigsaw, dremel (2 of em, but one died already)...
