This is the reason why I want to apply coating on my car. What you are looking at is after effect of after driving during heavy rain. I still wax my car, really. Car detailing is just an exercise for me. Sorry for the hologram, amateur detailer is like that.

Our dirty environment. Also, you didn't wipe off the water and just let it dry by itself. Your coating also like worst case scenario, which car coat have you applied?

Actually just wanted to clean a bird poo, so decide to use OPC.... stain after spray. Very very upset. Lesson learned. Never spray OPC directly onto car paint. If you must, spray on the cloth and wipe. After that spend 30 minutes with M101 just to remove the stubborn stain... which was suppose to be a 5 minutes(top) job.

QUOTE(zgerm @ May 13 2013, 10:50 AM) 5 years warranty is to prevent oxidation from the paint according to mr choong, just did mine 2 days ago..for others like scratches and water mark is excluded. Oh, ok... Guess my friend is having the same problem too. Will advice him... Anyway, did you get the shampoo from them too?

QUOTE(zgerm @ May 13 2013, 01:16 PM) What do you mean by ONR does not clean well? for example? I compared with this shampoo. http://carguys.com.my/Einszett-Perls-Shamp...d=44&doit=orderAfter wash, and with some clay test, I noticed more dirt being pickup on ONR side. I washed the panel with sponge, not MF cloth.

QUOTE(zgerm @ May 13 2013, 03:19 PM) more dirt pickup from ONR is not good? so which product better? You tried perls shampoo already? Well, I am not saying it is not good. Just saying that it doesn't clean as well as you might have want it to. Other sifus might be able to explain more in technical term. Yes, I am using Perl shampoo but it is NOT a waterless solution. Some people may just want to remove the dirt and have a clean car to drive, hence waterless solution is always the best. Some people want more, they want to clean more thoroughly and apply protectant over the car paint. I think that is why MF cloth is recommended to be used to clean the car, because it can pick up the dirt.

QUOTE(mav3rick @ May 13 2013, 02:51 PM) here's my 2nd post on OCW. As you may have remembered, I've used OCW on 4th May. During the course of the week, there has been some pretty drastic weather changes. From hot and humid to sudden thunderstorms. Not too sure if these conditions are perfect for testing out the durability. So here's my observation: Noticed good beading when it rains. Personally still prefer the more uniform beading of UQD/UQW but the beading shown here is pretty good as well. As the week progressed, the beading was still noticeable, but slightly deteriorating at the flat panels although it was still going strong on the side panel. Washed my car with NXT car wash (2 ounce to 2.5 gallons of water, added more water as i was worried that it will remove the OCW ), yesterday and found the same. beading on flat panels have deteriorated slightly, although still noticeable. The smooth texture you get when you first apply the wax is all but gone. But the shine on the paint as well as the darkening of the rubber/plastic trims are still very much noticeable. I've not topped it up with more OCW after the wash. Will report more as the week progresses. I noticed rain is the one killing the wax. Rain then hot sun... QUOTE(excelint @ May 13 2013, 02:58 PM) yes, that is the reason why i would like to find a shop that accept car wash using my shampoo and clothes Can share the picture or what shampoo is that? How much is it? Will need to inform my friend.

QUOTE(excelint @ May 13 2013, 04:29 PM) yes, this one. i use the sierra wash Bro, I have a member bring his own stuff and everything... and also wash himself in a car wash shop. Just to give you an idea. Other than this, can't think of anything else to offer you as a solution. I understand the trouble of people staying in high rise building.

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ May 13 2013, 08:06 PM) my experience is that not only shampoo aren't enough, i'll need tougher claying too LOL (heavy driver, about 2 months can reach 5k km, and i tend to speed whenever the opportunity is given, hence rock magnet too, my fairly new windscreen just got hit by one not too long ago, got an ugly mark already /sigh) Isn't it disheartening to see that after wash, your clay is still able to pick up some dirt? Especially oil stain. I always have this feeling and wonder if there is any shampoo that can just do all that.

QUOTE(KrisMas @ May 14 2013, 09:19 AM) There is at least one shampoo that I know of (and had some to try) that's able to removed oil stain/traffic film - Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss, it's a citrus base shampoo. Mixed at the correct ratio, it was able to remove much of the oily film but, unfortunately, at the wrong ratio it could also remove some portion of the wax/sealant as well. The reason being (my deduction) is wax/sealant also contain 'oil' to get that silky smooth feel and 'wet look'..... If such shampoo were used, the clay will not pick up oil stain??

QUOTE(KrisMas @ May 15 2013, 03:57 PM) Think of it this way....it's something like a shampoo version of OPC at very weak dilution. And, same with OPC, also citrus smelling and you'd see separation after some time in stroage...oh...and NOT pH balanced.... I was actually thinking of using a shampoo, and no need use clay.... But clay do pick up other things as well, other than oil stain. hmmm... any idea where to get the shampoo?

QUOTE(KrisMas @ May 15 2013, 04:13 PM) UP contain abrasives, DC2 doesn't, i.e. DC2 on it's own has ZERO cut - more like a glaze or pure polish. hrrmm....mind telling me what exactly you're trying to look for? Remove the oil stain, but not the wax. OR be very sure that the oil stain is removed. Try to cut the step of claying...

QUOTE(KrisMas @ May 15 2013, 08:50 PM) Anyway, how often did you need to clay? I only clay if I intend to polish afterwards. Those days (before I had the coating on), it's just AIO/paint cleaner before applying a fresh layer of LSP....once in around 3 ~ 4 months. Actually now I clay before I wax, because I noticed without claying, it won't last that long for the wax. But now I did all those together. Wash, clay, clean with 501, opti-seal then wax. Am so impress with the result. Maybe back then was due to the rain, because now it seems to rain less hence the wax can tahan longer.
