QUOTE(awcc @ Jul 10 2013, 03:59 PM) Looking at the Bosch ROB GEX 125-1AE, the speed is rated at 7500 - 12000 rpm. This would be even higher than the grinder. Two different machines...a rotary vs a random orbital machine...one 'spin' and the other just 'jiggles'.Logically, the grinder should be slower. |

Hrrmmm...don't know if m83 & m80 can do much with the Bosch rob. Haven't used those two in a while. You can borrow mine to have a go with them first before deciding.

I use DG Water Spot Remover or Megs Wheel Brightener to remove waterspots on the coating I'm currently using. For opticoat, ask those who apply it la...they do come with a warranty/guarantee right?

QUOTE(neekun @ Jul 16 2013, 02:20 PM) Whoa...that sucks. Well...judging from all the hypes and praises for OptiGuard, I guess something like vinegar couldn't harm it. You can try that first. Distilled vinegar that is. It'd normally works for mild water spots.QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Jul 16 2013, 04:39 PM) Wanna ask you experts, the car paint got scratch against the pavement and thepaint looks like smudge or something. Some pics would help to access the damage. Will iI able to salvage it by polishing? QUOTE(newbiz2010 @ Jul 16 2013, 08:11 PM) Bro can recommend few budget car shampo? Anyone try antirain glass coating and antirain Nanotech liquid coating? Budget as in cheap? Well...the only 'cheap' shampoo that I've tried and worked decently was Polyglaze. Haven't heard of any reviews on Antirain...can't help there...too many 'coatings' in the market nowadays. |

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jul 17 2013, 04:51 PM) Dewalt please? I have pm-ed you too! Aiyo...with a rotary then it's a different story already. A rotary with LC Orange pad and ultimate compound is a very aggressive combination...can take out *almost* any scratch already (unless you own one of those cars with very hard clear coat). I think I remember you said you just want to 'clean' only.anyways if this is correct: 1. pair it with 2 pads, 1 Orange for Cutting and 1 Green for Polishing/AIO 2. Meguiars Ultimate Compound (any duragloss equiv?) 3. Duragloss 501 Basically, something like Megs Twin (Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish) + 1 orange cutting (for spot correction of deeper scratch) + 2 white polishing + 1 black finishing pads + an LSP (wax/sealant) of your choice is all you'd need TO START. |

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Jul 17 2013, 05:07 PM) ZOMGGGGG Yeah...thats about right. But forget about the pads, let me set you up with the rotary and pads (unless you plan on keeping them). Just get the Megs twin. Take it as a complimentary 'loaner' from an old aquaintance. Glad to have gotten in touch with fellow kakis from the 'old days'.LUCKILY I CONSULT YOU so 1. i'll get the Meg's Twins 2. use the rotary 3. i scared die so i use White and Black pads (5.5 inch?) 4. and an LSP of my choice correct? |

Did a little digging about The Pink Stuff by Chemico.
"Composition: An aqueous paste combining vegetable soap and fine ground silica. Sodium carbonate provides mild alkalinity for cleaning whilst benzyl chlorophenol is a skin friendly preservative, also contains a germicidal additive." Sounds very abrassive. MSDS says components are: - Silica Flour - Desinfectant - Perfume - Sodium carbonate with pH value at 9.5 - 10.5 So, basically it's some abrassives mix with baking soda and alkaline in nature....those water marks didn't stand a chance!! But...hrrrmm....*could* cause some swirls on the glass as well though being silica... Add: comes to think about it, it does sound a little bit like cif/jif cream.....
