Not really. Got the fork second hand. Rims i bought second hand with hubs for rm100. Pedals are plastic, handlebar and stem rm30 for both from warehouse sale. And second hand shimano non series brakes which are really good i dont know why. Dont have to spend up front that much. Get a good frame even if its cheap, as a canvas. Slowly upgrade. Not everyone has the capital to buy everything all at once. At least he may have a good start/ticket into this hobby.
Dont have to spend super amounts to get a dialed whip.

I agree! I myself am riding under RM2k bike as well. It definitely will be heavier than the rest of em 3k+ bikes as the components are very entry level. I mean, from my experience - so what if you've got lighter parts and chunner parts but cannot ride for nuts? I've seen old school riders with 90's style MTB bikes with V-brakes and rigid forks with steel frames shredding Kiara better than a duallie/fullsus rider can
