Yes, it is not impossible. But you don't want to bomb (as in ride really gnarly like Jinya) DH trails with an XC HT bike. I know a pro in here using HT AM to bomb downhills in Kiara, PCP.

what wheels you using now? if can then inspect the rims, since used. check for dingd and dents and warps? check spoke tension. how old are they?

Rim: Dartmoor Raider 26" RM260
Rear hub: Dabomb Headspin RM 250
Front hub:Novatec Front Hub RM 75
Spokes: DT Swiss ones are around RM2/each if im not mistaken so, RM 128

So total is around RM713. And that leaves you with enough budget for new rubbers.

The rims are super strong, used for DJ and is good for trails. The hubs are good. DH people use them so i think they are durable. As for the front hub, its just a suggestion because i dont know if your fork is a TA or QR.

So what do u think? its just my 2cents though.

If you ride XC, should be good. Lightweight, able to convert front from QR to TA15 with supplied adapter in case you change or are using TA15 fork. A little hard to get a lightweight set of wheels if you custom build them up. Usually 24 straight pull spoke light weight wheels like RM3 are usually only available as a wheelset. It is also UST tubeless which should make conversion easier, no need stans yellow rim tapes. Being UST tubless, there is no drill through the rim which should make it a bit stiffer/stronger. Seal cartridge bearings is also good since you can replace them easily.

BTW, tested spinning the RM3 wheels vs a Chris King hubs + stans rims... the bearing smoothness of the RM3 so so only vs the ultra smooth silky feel of the CK hubs... hahahahaaa...  $$$

just bought new deore 2014 m615 (with cooling fin pad) couple with smrt86 ice tech rotor...d thing is, d brake feels like tak makan..stopping power not quite enuff....when im goin fast, i brake hard stil bike moving n hissing sound is loud n it takes time to stop..why ah?

Hi all sifu, can recommend me and my bro a decent AM bike and XC bike? Budget is around 10k-15k each because not planning to upgrade further in the future. My friend recommend HaiBike Heet RC 29 and Sleek RC 29. It is kind of out of our budget and i would like to know about other options in the market. Any comment about Haibike models?
