I meant the hot is acceptable 1, perhaps I should call it warm? Next time I will talk longer to test it. One thing I suspect if I use 3G instead of WIFI for VOIP, it heats up faster. |

It is partly because of the material of the phone, and 920's polycarbonate is rather thick making heat loss more difficult. I was using data for a continous 30 mins this afternoon but it is only warm, not very hot, but i was in an air conditioned area in my campus Library. If it is outdoors, the phone does heat up faster. |

There was a youtube video on applying that heat sink thing or whatever to overcome the heat problems. Anyone know where to purchase that kind of thing? I mean the only thing stopping me from getting a lumia is the excessive overheating issues right now. I don't want my first smartphone to be crap.

yup, we saw that that vid, but not a wise idea to tamper with your warranty valid unit. have to wait till the warranty date expire then we do it.

overheat
anyway, i was hoping the L920 got notification light like the N8. maybe blinking/breathing light on the Windows logo when message/mail coming in or missed calls. but heh, maybe that is hardware side, not software. |
