first firmware update for the 920. it improves camera performance, resolve some overheat/random reboot/micro-sim issues. added wifi always-on function.

Hey guys, just a question for those updated to the GDR2 firmware dy...does your Twitter contacts sync properly with the People hub? Mine totally doesn't sync leh 😳

Btw how to update to portico a?

My battery life 70% then i using wechat video call, battery gone to 5% in 35min while video calling and phone heat like bbq...

I think there is something wrong with the Twitter sync in people hub? Mine still stock pre portico but can't sync since an hour ago it seems. Just cannot pull the twitter updates no matter how many times I refresh it.

try remove the account and set it back again.. hopefully after that it works

The facebook chat integration of WP8 is pretty much useless. I got 'Can't connect to chat' problem most of the time even I got good signal and connection. It's really annoying

Why every time i add/save a new contact, it will ask me to choose which email address to save. Why?

because you have more than 1 email asign to your wp8, each contact create will save to your selected email's contact.

just select your primary emails will do.

ex,

My WP = my primary email + my wife 2nd email

My Wife WP = her primary email + my 2nd email


we both share the same contact list on our devices to keep both contact updated.

So I tried WeChat with WIFI + 2G data on just now. 19 minutes chat with loud speaker.
Battery drain 11%, but the good thing is my phone is warm only.

I haven't updated to Portico & GDR2 yet. Hopefully it can improve even better.

yours 1 is latest firmware ? Also no 2G/3G data is on ?
mine 1 can only last for 1 day plus with 2G + wifi (turn on when needed)

GDR2 made my Whatsapp become very slow.

always getting delayed message.

dont know whether it is GDR2 fault or Whatsapp fault.

Most probably whatsapp, today all my whatsapp msg heavily delayed by 1hr+. Pre-portico here

That is Portico. Data is off but WiFi is 24/7 on. Power consumption with GDR2 is about the same with Portico for me as well.
WhatsApp fault.... very buggy with their notification all the while, every firmware also got this issue.
