Microcube is good. Bigger bro Cube is better. Another brand, Kustom 12 series is best.
No comments on guitar - go ahead if you feel like it

What about Marshall? The price seems quite good. Actually I dont really know about the guitar, whether it is suitable for that genre or not.

Marshall can be a hit or miss thing for me. Some more at that price.

Any guitar can do any genre/style as you wish - just that, are you strict on the tonal perspective hmm.gif ? If not really then can go ahead lor laugh.gif

personally while loving marshalls, i find that their lower end modelling ones are quite erm....

i would recommend a peavey VIP vyper, RM800 bucks. tonewise is ok ok, but you have like a whole recording studio in an amp.

welp, this is kinda over my budget I think. I don't mind 2nd hand amp tho, if there's anyone selling it.

arghh crap i didnt see "combo"

i will go by most effective to least effective then, you pick and choose which is best

most effective = line6 usb interface.
why its good = computer based, you wont have recording issues, volume issues. a lot of things to mess with.
why its not good = not an amp, no gigs, back of the head you want an amp

most tone = vox AC4 series
why its good = natural OD
why its not good = limited in the range of tones you can create.

most "amp versatile" = vox valvetronix circuit amps or Roland Cube
why is it good = get get heaps amount of variety, the former is btter at classic tones than the latter
why its not good = tonally can be very limited as both normally are good like for 3-4 effects and mods.

My first acoustic was a kapok. I cut out the soundhole to be v-shaped, sanded the neck and did a lot of mods and it sounded and played totally different as in a lot better. I still have it till now but no longer playable.

My first electric was a Marina with a body like Satch's JS. Great sound, great neck but heavy as hell. Can only play standing up for 10 mins. Sold it off, later on bought a used Yamaha RGZ and loving it. Now I only buy used gems.

Very nice explanation you got there. Thanks a lot. Maybe I'll go for roland cube, since I want to experiment with the effects and stuff. Or what about Peavey solo and rage, their prices are quiet good.

Also, is squier Affinity a good guitar for beginner like me? Been considering this, cort and ibanez but still can't decide.

i made a mistake on the modelling amps its nto heaps of tone sad.gif as far as amp is concerned i think most of them in the market are ok. there are some concerns with workmanship but that happens at any price point.

the squiers are good guitars, but you need to test a lot for them, you might want to look at spear also.

picks are dependent on what you want to play, but for most guitarists yea

eletrical tuner is needed,

capo again depends, ive only bought one RM20 capo my whole guitar life and ive only used it like a handful of times. if you play a lot of strumming guitar, it might come in useful.

as far as the yamaha yes there are better brands, but other brands need some degree of the right person to guide you. so if you feel adventurous give other brands a try

Okay, some questions left.

Do i need to purchase a metronome as well (which i don't know how to use it exactly even though i have read up about it)?

How much would a tuner costs? I just need one that can get the job done, it doesn't need to be of high end product.

Thanks for your advices, i'll purchase an F310 from Music Bliss after this. smile.gif

1. traditionally yes, but now you can use a lot of things for metronome. i personally download it on my phone or use audicity.

2. tuners? cant rememer, but i think its like 50-100 for one.
