Doesn't make sense. How shariah can be so close to conventional rate? They better release the full reports.

Next year shariah will be higher than conventional. Preferential treatment at this level. Eyes rolling.

The problem is our FM is taking conventional epf for less profitable local businesses in attempts to boost our economy. Its a good attempt. But we all know how bad local businesses are. Imagine if the money invested in the magnificent 7 in the last quarter instead of those funny funny local SME businesses, which we all know most of them always failed or not making money at all aftrr all the loans burn out. rajratt, ASoulNamedLeo, and 1 other liked this post

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Mar 28 2024, 05:47 PM) yeah KWSP is too big for local market. i agree there It's not about the fund size now that affects the returns, its the way and direction how the funds are invested. The direction now is highly political driven at the expense of higher returns.but the Poll was asking do you believe with larger Fund size, return would diminished? everthing else maintained same, ie same 30% foreign investment , 52% fixed income etc. You mean even with a larger KWSP Fund size there may be NO definite NEGATIVE effect investment return? maintain that 30% foreign investment would you say a lower and lower KWSP dividend is acceptable because they said, as KWSP Fund become bigger, its investment return will fall. i also dont foresee a significant drop in KWSP dividends too. You dont think a bigger Fund size would have negative effect on investment return? |

Why so many wishful thinking that account 3 will be the same dividend. Give u the liquidity of coz will reduce the dividend. Look at Singapore CPF OA and SA. The government even closed the SA shielding after many Singaporeans took advantage of it.

I think this could be the reason why FM is giving less dividend this year because he knows the new account 3 will lead to huge outflow. Hopefully the buffer is enough to avoid another year of low dividend rate when the market is hot.
