Wah, now the secret is out. You must have a BIG BIG amount in EPF for them to send notification. I have never received any notification, guess I am just an ikan bilis. Ha.

No worries... as you said, we are all just trying to help one another.  cheers.gif

I managed to get a reply from EPF concerning the formula. Below is their reply,
Pengiraan dividen untuk bulan Januari

Akaun 1
[(Baki pembuka Akaun 1 x Bil. hari dalam bulan) + (Caruman bulanan semasa x 1 hari)] x Kadar Dividen / 365 hari setahun

Akaun 2
[(Baki pembuka Akaun 2 x Bil. hari dalam bulan) + (Caruman bulanan x 1 hari)] x Kadar Dividen / 365 hari setahun

Pengiraan dividen untuk bulan Februari hingga Disember (berdasarkan bilangan hari setiap bulan)

Akaun 1
[((Baki pembuka Akaun 1 + Semua caruman bulanan sebelumnya) x Bil. Hari dalam bulan) + (Caruman bulanan semasa x 1 hari)] x Kadar Dividend / 365 hari setahun

Akaun 2
[((Baki pembuka Akaun 2 + Semua caruman bulanan sebelumnya) x Bil. Hari dalam bulan) + (Caruman bulanan semasa x 1 hari)] x Kadar Dividend / 365 hari setahun

The  dividend says 6.9% can see - but acc 1 doesn't has 6.9 try chking acc 2 also not 6.9

Take the total times again also not 6.9
*
See post above for the calculation la. 6.9% is annual rate, you think the deposit you put in December can be multiplied by 6.9% right away meh? Even FD also you don't get to multiply your amount by the annual interest rate and get the full 3% every month

Remembered reading say must give all the profit..
Cannot keep keep...

Amanah Saham fund got lor..

Ah
you were the one who mentioned that all profit must be distributed.
Any source of such legal requirement? i doubt it. The legal requirement is the minimum 2.5%.
i am sure they do retain some of the profits.

Well I do know about the 2.5% thingy..

As for the profit thing. Later I confirmed it...
Either I saw on the article somewhere or saw it in lowyat forum (posted by some financial sifu)...

2.5% is the min dividend rate that the conventional fund needs to declare.

It doesn't say all net profits of its investment must be distributed.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the info. Also I noticed it stated in the 2017 statement at the bottom 6.9%.

They want a "halal" income. So I guess no complaint from them.
