So EPF vs CPF

For last 30 years including Fx profit is how much???

Outperform EPF or not 🤔

What I know, from basic knowledge... CPF rates is way lower than EPF... So profit gain from forex gain...
*
CPF also has limit, EPF doesn't have, best if you refer to a specific income then can do comparison.

Saw this article this morning,  https://weirdkaya.com/35yo-msian-shares-how...in-epf-savings/
However I think there is nothing to show her financial planning skills when her monthly pay is already RM47,000 (assuming 6 months annual bonus & employer EPF rate at 15%.)
*
she has 500k inheritance. life is easy when you start at rm500,001

Yes, may be she is telling people to reach 2m EPF by age 35, start with 500K inheritance.

How you get the inheritance to be all inside EPF?

And for her pay, it's it like she mentioned last year got 400k in including 80k dividen and 100k self contribution.. with that means like 80k per month ,no?
*
QUOTE(kechung @ Nov 1 2024, 10:34 AM)
80k appeared too unrealistic unless family business.
I assume she enjoyed 6 months bonus so total 18 months pay with co pay 15% for her EPF
RM(400K-100K-80K)/(18X26%) = RM 47,000/mth
There are many possibilities. She may just 100% opt in EPF for her monthly salary of 20K, & live on with family support...............
*
rich people story, we can only read at it as fantasy.

yes, prefer to understand how a normal 10k/ mth person can save for their retirement through prudent saving.

Yes, that is just a show off salary. Be realistic, how many people can reach that early in life. If you can, good for you, but it doesn't helps others with moderate income to improve their financial status. This is like chinese saying "Gwai Ng chee lei lou mou hai lui yan" (Who doesn't know your mother is a woman?).  If your salary is sub 10k and can reach 2m EPF by 35, then i would like to listen to your story!
*
how sure are we that it's her epf and not her parents.

i remember some /k here will brag about their parents' epf as theirs...

stories, listen enough, believe don't

In 2014 my EPF was like 50k, it exceeded 1mil 10yrs later.

I don't think it's impossible even without tongkat.

are you still working currently? i am still trying to hit my 1 mil, so congrats on your big milestone smile.gif

and are you continuing to put fund in the us market given how hype the market is currently? i am thinking maybe i should load up my bullet first then attack later if we see some black swan event.
