imo, a very sound strategy/plan. money in EPF is creditor proof while earning way better than FD rate and still way safer than money in bank!

at least i have not heard of money scammed from EPF directly.

To confidently reach 4 million on retirement age, that's a huge saving into EPF every month. Hence must be getting high salary or work multiple job.

you only need 2 mil by 40...

it takes 20 years to roughly double up your money just with existing dividends from epf alone. If self contribute, faster will reach there...

I am early 40s, and just want to say pretty much same feeling where hope no scxw up till I can retire at 55-60.  Sure feels like long way to go and definitely feel tougher to get a secure job till then.  is this what people called mid life crisis and it is scary.

Yup, i want to enjoy my life as earlier as possible. Actually i already fulfiled almost all of my teenager's dreams, such as having a house, cars, or "able to buy the best PC every year or when new flagship graphics card is out", i can easily afford these things now. I really appreciate what i am having now, besides hard work, it is all luck.
Depends on what era u were born, and also depends on if you have hobbies. I am a gamer since 5-6 years old, and i play game everyday, yes, everyday (The latest game "blackmyth Wukong, i spent 8 hours or more a day to play it). And i have a few more hobbies that i really don't have enough time to work on them now, i need more time. Yum char with buddies can do once in a while, as for traveling, personally i have 0 interests.
