What about withdrawals?
Is there any cut off date where you only receive only one day of dividend in that month?

Dividen will be given until the day of withdrawal (unless it's full withdrawal and close account).

Epf should give 2 tier dividend though...

55yo & below x%

Above 55yo x+2%

Logic is ppl above 55yo are more dependable to dividends to survive.
*
Bad idea. It will significantly slow down the compound effect.

Hi,

Does anyone know whether the voluntary contribution is on a nett basis?

Example:

if I put in $100K in Jan,
then withdraw $30K in May.

Can I still put in $30K in Sept? Or does it consider as full quota?

Thank you.
*
No.

Just curious, even if you have 1m in your epf, 5.8% vs 6% is only a good RM2k difference. Why so hype up if dividend is 6% ya?
*
In the gxbank thread, people are so excited and discuss about how to get 1 sen extra (yes, RM0.01) until dozens and dozens of pages... Welcome to the forum.

like this it's wiser to give higher % dividend to Account 3 to encourage people not to withdraw and lower % to Account 1 since it's locked.
*
Impossible for a liquid account to have a higher dividend rate than others.

guys, I see that EPF app will show how much was the dividend amount for 2024, but then I don't see it credited into my EPF account (Total)
When is it gonna be credited?
Cuz on the main page, it shows that your dividend for 2024 amounting RM x,xxx.xx has been credited.

But until now.. nothing

Edit: hmm when I do the maths, based on the numbers below the total.. it seems right.
Just very confusing words.
Cuz it shows total as of December 31 2024, but dividend was announced on March 2025..
Thought the money would be coming in now.
*
The credit of 2024 dividend is back dated to 31 Dec 2024.

13MP: Govt considers monthly EPF pensions payout

KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): The government is considering introducing a monthly pension payout under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), in addition to the current lump-sum withdrawal option, to provide retirees with a more stable income stream.

Adequate retirement savings are crucial to ensure the well-being of workers in their old age. Therefore, a more effective mechanism will be explored to ensure a continuous source of income after retirement, according to the 13th Malaysia Plan report.

“This mechanism will allow for the separation of EPF contributions into two components — retirement savings and retirement pension. Through this effort, workers will be able to withdraw a portion of their savings while also receiving a monthly pension upon reaching retirement age,” the report added.
*
From the article, seems like the separation of retirement savings and retirement pension is only for new contributions. Perhaps like the introduction of Acc 3, they will let you move a portion of your existing EPF money into the pension side (voluntarily), then future contributions will follow certain percentage set by the gomen.

gov doesn't really need to revamp the epf scheme to lock in your money... too much work... all they need to do is just increase your caruman by 1%... wink.gif

just two days ago was sitting at mixue and next table was some guys trying to scam two aunties... scams are a real problem, not an excuse imho...
*
What ever the excuse/reason is, the fact is they are planning to lock the epf money, as per previous announcements.
