Some u guys mentioned about 65 yo withdrawal...

There's high possibilities to happen...

Since many don't have enough balance in their EPF account...

BUT won't be very soon...
Probably 2024 or 2025 like that 🙏

Budget 2023 window is too short to implement
*
For those that don't hit the minimum amount for retirement ok lah. But currently RM240k is a joke.

Should set it to at least RM600K. Then more people can't withdraw early...i believe they will do this....

we all are just talking cock only I am sure...

already gov of the day felt the pressure to allow everyone to withdraw one more time of 30K rm... and that is so damn hard to resist...

we think it is that easy to change retirement age to 65???? gov of the day can try....

lol...

Hari ini announce, Semalam Anwar sudah kena back door.

Don't do the monthly withdrawal option.... i remember (this is a while back) a old colleague who retired complained to us youngster that he choose the monthly withdrawal option to only find out that the entire amount earmarked for the monthly withdrawal for that year no longer earn interest.

best you go verify this first before selecting monthly withdrawal if this is still the case.
(I didn't verify this of cos... how to when I am not even at 55 years old).
*
Wah this is something new to me, better check next time when hit 55.....else kena tipu. If this is really the case might as well manual withdraw since can do it online easily right?

Daily 2 roti kosong * $1.20 + 2 chapati *. $1.50.

I just need to on kwsp line withdraw $20 every alt day. This will minimize kwsp loss in dividend. I learn from Suze Orman.

Happy weekend semua!
*
Unker, you eat like that. Later need withdraw 100k every month for Hospital fee.

Don't be penny wise, pound foolish. Old oredi, ok to spend your money and keep your health.

QUOTE(doremon @ Feb 18 2023, 08:31 AM)
Will account holders of Warga Emas receive the same dividend rate as other EPF account holders? For instance, will they receive a 4.9% dividend in March 2023? All the same right?
*
Yes. But i am all for tiered Golden Age Dividend where > 60 years old gets higher dividend. Old oredi mah, kasi banyak sikit lah...

I support this!

You meant you support Unker Panjang not to be so kiamsap withi his millions? laugh.gif

Anyway, makes sense right? Old people retired, should get more. EPF is a retirement fund after all. Tiered dividend based on income is just racist towards the hardworking people. By age, is fair to all.

Afterall, bank also gives 50plus account with slightly higher FD.

QUOTE(Super2047 @ Feb 18 2023, 09:24 AM)
Upon reaching age 55, the contributions made to your Account 1 and Account 2 will be consolidated into Account 55. You can withdraw all or part of the savings from this account at any time. Should you choose to continue working after the age of 55, all further contributions you make will be credited in your Akaun Emas, to be withdrawn only upon reaching age 60.

Extracted from Kwsp website. Why contributions from age 55 to age 60 only can be withdrawn after age 60? What's the purpose of locking it?
*
it sort of make sense. I suppose a lot of people still working because they have to (except unker prophetjul of course tongue.gif ). So as long as you are working, they force you to save some money for another 5 years, in case you throw everything away you've earned at 55. After 60, you throw away everything again. Just go 14th floor.

Last time, EPF monthly contributions only will be reflected after dividend declaration. This year the  monthly contributions could be seen  before dividend declaration. Some improvements to EPF system. However, the date for dividend seem to be taking longer over the year.
*
Last year was slow, early March. This year also same. Hopefully next year got proper budget announcement timeline and adjust back to Feb.

Can do monthly or periodic ad hoc withdrawal from Account 2 after age 50?
*
QUOTE(netcrawler @ Feb 18 2023, 10:37 PM)
I believe can but I have yet to reach 50. Need to ask other who have already in their 50.
*
No. It's clearly stated in EPF website. Upon 50, can withdraw one time partial or all from AC 2. Cannot Suka Suka withdraw. Satu Kali only.

Yes that is why EPF always advises you to do nomination for a reason
No such thing as optional retirement 🤦‍♀️ unless the person is leaving country for good or for health reasons and hospitalisation
*
Can lah.
https://www.kwsp.gov.my/member/withdrawals/...onal-retirement

It's meant for certain Civil Service servant. I remember reading that. Private sector...soli lah. You eat yourself. Wait 50/55/60 or dieded. Whichever first.

For voluntary contribution, you can either go to EPF branch (which means fill up the form) or use kwsp's i-akaun app (cannot use kwsp's  website ya) or do online banking transfer. 😊😊
*
Can also use Bank to directly bank in. Can select EPF. Last time don't have app to contribute. But now, better use app, maybe reflected faster than Bank transfer.

Desire is not happy.

Let's rethink. Too much desire, makes a person less happy.

Unkerpanjang very wise.

Ayam no desire now. Waiting to go Nirvana. It feels peaceful to have no desires. You will realized it's all so pointless when you reach that moment.

Which is why Ayam happy with my B40 lifestyle.

Wait...EPF Dividend gone seriously off topic!!! 😅

But just as important Dear Bro n Sis.

Similar to amount of kwsp savings, expectations of kwsp dividends, mismanagement of kwsp funds, wanting to be accurate in kwsp forum.

Such desires lead to some level of 'less happy'.  Just be aware our forumers (last count 40+) emotions are typically bell curve.

Some will forget disappointment within minutes, vs hours, vs days vs life impairing emotions. Just take a break if it gets too bothersome.
*
