QUOTE(hikaru_x @ Nov 7 2006, 10:40 AM) Peter Moore announced full version of TV and movies coming to the marketplace From the montage at xbox.com, an episode of CSI New York cost 240 MS Points. SD Version is 556 MB, and HD version is 2GB. source: MajorNelson.com watch the demo video: xbox.com Batman Forever cost 320 MS Points to "rent" and SD version is 1.3GB, while HD version is 5.4 GB. 20GB HDD seems small now. Hope the service will be available to non-US Xbox Live account holder too. * Just noticed that they mentioned the word "rent" in the montage. This means that you have 14 days to view them after you downloaded them, and once you played the video, it'll expire within 24 hours. This post has been edited by mzaidi: Nov 7 2006, 11:01 AM |

QUOTE(hikaru_x @ Nov 7 2006, 11:03 AM) they only mentioned rental on the movies, but do u think the same would be applied to TV shows? i hope not. too bad no ABC, i'm a LOST freak Quote from Xbox.comQUOTE Beginning Nov. 22, on its first anniversary, Xbox 360 will be the first gaming console in history to provide high-definition TV shows and movies directly to gamers in their living rooms. Xbox 360 gamers will have access to the full-length TV shows as downloads to own and movies to rent via download from the Xbox Live(R) network, the worldwide leader in online distribution of high-definition gaming and entertainment content. So this means that the rental only applies to movies and not TV Show. QUOTE "REDMOND, Wash. - Nov. 6, 2006 - Microsoft Corp. today announced agreements with CBS, MTV Networks, Paramount Pictures, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to bring an initial lineup of over 1,000 hours of hit TV shows and movies to Xbox 360(tm) gamers in the U.S. by the end of the year." Sounds like it's US only (or those with US Xbox Live account) This post has been edited by mzaidi: Nov 7 2006, 11:10 AM |
