If I get a US 3DS, will I be able to use club nintendo?

I just have a question about the recent Club Nintendo promotion: register a 3DS XL with Luigi's Mansion or Mystery Dungeon and get a free game.. I'm wondering if we get this promotion if we register from Malaysia, using a US 3DS XL? I have set up my 3DS to have a US e-shop so I can just use that to get the game?

We won't know until the day itself. It might take into account your IP address and where you're coming from, although those are just weak arguments for people who are willing to travel anywhere with a 3DS XL.

You'll only know when the date is in.

In terms of registering online, I'm not too bothered as I can ask a friend in the US to register the item for me. But yeah what bugs me is that I won't be able to download the free game later... anyway thanks for the help!

True. I don't think they even track ip la. Just make sure your e-shop is on the right region and also that you redeem the code at https://club.nintendo.com/

A bunch of my friends redeem codes and got their exclusive nintendo club item already using proxy shipping method. I know the free game is digital but just letting you know there is no ip tracking.

Literally made my night when I saw the title.... but it's filed in Europe though. Hope it will be released in NA as well!!

I heard there are US version and Asia version for the 3ds games. If I unfortunately get a asia version for pokemon mystery dungeon, is it still possible to register in club nintendo for getting the free game?

You wouldn't be able to register the game in Club Nintendo if its Asia version

why cant i download any game from the eshop despite changing my location to us..with the correct zipcode...i am 100% sure that my credit card details are accurate...(debit card actually, used it to purchase games fr steam a lot of times)...

Because the EShop won't accept any credit card outside of US... That's why many of us use the Cash Code instead.

Steam is a different case since they accept international credit cards. Or even Debit Cards for the matter.

i waiting for pokemon X and Y, and hope Ni No Kuni will have US release please

You mean the DS version of Ni No Kuni? Doubt it will ever happen.
There is already an even better Ni No Kuni on the PS3 which has already been localized.
Knowing level 5...I dont think they are going to do it just like the Inazuma Eleven on DS games.

nintendo is a bit fussy huh...just realized that i tried to purchase a game 3 times without success...checked my acc this morning...pre auth debit...3 times....fck..
gotta wait a few days before the cash comes back to me...best part..i thought something was wrong with my card..and i asked my gf to pinjam hers...tried her card twice...tak jadi also..
bet she has the pre auth debit as well...now i hope she does not realize that.. or else i am doomed!

bet you din't read the faq Kyo put up...
1. kyo do sell cash code
2. you can set your region to Canada and purchase at that eshop.
3. it takes more than a few days for the cash to be back in your account.

Guys, wanna have some feedback on this. Let's say I go digital by downloading the games via e-Shop (Canada's e-Shop by the way), will I still be eligible for the Club Nintendo points?

I just need to link the Club Nintendo account rite? Been wondering about this for quite awhile
