I have a malaysian set 3ds and I could access the eshop by changing the region settings haven't bought anything yet though.

I bet that if you're willing to search high and low in tradezone you might be able to find a 3ds that's selling for a bit cheaper. of course if you're low on budget you could opt for a second hand 3ds.

Bought a US Set Nintendo 3DS XL (Black) with Animal Crossing: New Leaf game. Getting used to it now since i stop playing console games for more than 6 years

Well, the official price if you buy as an average consumer importing from US is $200. Combined with express shipping to Malaysia (which few suppliers offer)... probably around $60 with USPS Expedited? Total would be $260. Not sure if Singaporeans have import taxes to consider for consoles. Converted to MYR, should be about RM870-900. Leftover RM90 probably for handling fees.

So you either save RM90 and arrange for a relative in the US to buy and ship the item to you, or pay RM90 to have Qisahn do it.

...Either way I put way too much research into this post.

EDIT: And yes, no games, so this is kind of like the Pikachu 3DS XL all over again.

now tell me why the heck animal crossing bundle is cheap, considering it came with the game?
that's why i said this is a rip-off, considering ppl knew pokémon better than animal crossing

plus, those bundles/LE isn't shop exclusive (in US)

ps: i couldn't remember how much pikachu xl cost here anyway

EDIT: that price probably makes sense if i'm importing it from US to UK, considering the 20% VAT that i've to pay + handling fees

Calm down, haha. I suspect that that is the case as well - they're milking the cash cow, so to speak... I mean, the estimations I gave up there were for your average consumer, who's probably going to buy the set through normal shopping channels, which explains the shipping costs and such.

Retailers like Qisahn probably get discounts with multiple unit purchases directly from the distributors - previously Qisahn opened pre-orders for Pikachu 3DS XL for RM735 (which has jacked up to RM960 now) so discounts aren't entirely implausible - so unless they had a brainfart and decided to go through the 'average customer' route this time, the price hike is pretty shady.

Of course there's no way of knowing. Not gonna throw accusations left and right now

In any case, I applaud anyone who's still willing to fork out the money for a set despite the outrageous price.

I somehow don't think there will be a bundle set. We rarely get a bundle set when it comes to Pokemon, ever since GBA time.
